I won’t spoil anything for those of you who may have DVRed it, but you can basically skip the real episode and fast forward to when the guy Andi didn’t choose confronts her on the live episode. He airs some pretty personal dirty laundry and causes Andi to say, “That was below the belt,” which I think may have been one of the best unintentional puns ever.
I’m pretty sure this is the only time in Bachelor/Bachelorette history I didn’t regret watching for three hours. Thanks goodness for group texts with girlfriends to keep me entertained!
And just in case you are wondering whether or not I am planning to watch Bachelor in Paradise the answer is probably. And by probably I mean definitely. It’s a guilty pleasure I just can’t shake.
Workout + Breakfast
My workout this morning took me to Pure Barre for the 6 a.m. class. You’re shocked, I know.
It was a good one and my thighs were burning and shaking as always.
After Pure Barre, I made my way home and assembled breakfast which began with a perfectly juicy orange.
Plus a smoothie made with frozen strawberries, Greek yogurt, fresh spinach, frozen banana and almond butter.
Hope you have a great Tuesday!
Question of the Morning
- What is your “guilty pleasure” television show?
My guilty pleasure shows are definitely The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Last year I got into Desperate Housewives (thank you, Netflix) and think I physically felt my brain rotting as I watched.
Dana says
I could NOT believe when he (no spoiler) said that on TV!!! If I was Andi, I would’ve stood up and left the show.
Also, they made it very obvious that Chris is going to be the next Bachelor but I was pulling for Arie.
Julie says
Oh I think Arie would be a GREAT Bachelor. Chris seems like a really great guy, but I just cannot picture him as The Bachelor…
Stephanie Yaffe says
My guilty pleasure is MasterChef, Hells Kitchen, Chopped and basically any cooking competition show on tv! And Keeping up with the Karsashians… but I usually dont admit to that one too often.
Cathryn says
Real Housewives of any city…drives my husband absolutely crazy but I just love it. Pure drama crap TV and I love every second of it.
Katie Ardito says
Haha I’m currently watching if now!
Jess says
Keeping up with the Kardashians. We know it’s horrible, but with some wine and cheese my fiance and I love it!
happygokatie says
Every season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette I tell myself I won’t watch the next one…and then that time rolls around and I do! It really is addicting…sometimes during an episode I’ll ask myself “why am I watching this?!” But then next week I come back for more! The epitome of a guilty pleasure. Group texts while watching really do make for the full experience though :p
Alexis @ Run Crush says
I’m not a Bachelor/Bachelorette person, but almost everyone I work with is! My guilty pleasure is watching Friends, even though I’ve seen every episode probably 5-10 times. When it’s on, I just am physically incapable of changing the channel or of doing anything else.
Kate says
I’m so upset! I went to bed as ‘After the Final Rose’ was coming on…so now I’ll have to Google what happened…haha. I love all reality TV…which my husband makes fun of, but he just doesn’t understand…lol.
Julie says
here’s the rundown: http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/bachelorette-after-the-final-rose-recap-andi-confronts-her-runner-up-2014287
Kate says
Thanks!!!
Jessica says
I am guilty of loving A LOT of reality TV…lol real housewives, kardashians, ya know, anything on Bravo!! I am so upset I cound;t watch the Bachelorette this season! I may have to watch on demand!
Kimberly Ann says
LOL the pun at “below the belt”. Too funny!! Seriously though.. Too far!!
Kim

Kaitlyn says
Ahhhhh that after the final rose was INSANE!!! And I love Andi and her ::chosen man::…they are so cute!
Michelle Hunt (@PeachyPalate) says
I’m quite the reality TV fan! We have UK version of Jersey Shore called Geordie Shore…guilty!
Amy B says
Haha I loved Bachelor and Bachelorette – and I also loved Desperate Housewives. A good Netflix show to binge watch 😉 I am currently watching Gossip Girl – and I am almost 28 😉 Gotta love trashy tv!
EatGreatBEGreat says
I don’t like admitting this, but I kind of enjoy watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Why, I don’t know, but I keep going back for more! Ha!
Linda @ Fit Fed and Happy says
Don’t have a show; but I’d love to watch pirates of the carribean!
Anna B says
I used to be a huge bachelor/bachelorette fan, but now I’ve migrated to extreme makeover: weightloss and master chef. The combo of the sad story + jaw dropping transformation has gotten me hooked. And master chef is just fun! The dishes they prep are so impressive — and all without recipies!! I can only dream of creating something that impressive.
Amber @ Busy, Bold, Blessed says
I’m a Kardashians girl but my husband HATES it haha.
Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
HAHAHA YES!!!! I will for sure be watching. Again. Not even gonna try to lie about it. I was shocked that Nic confronted her like that…kind of a douche-move. Telling the world that they slept together was SO not cool. Glad she picked Josh though, they are too precious!
Christine says
I almost died when that conversation happened!! I had to pause it so that I could freak out about what was said, hahahaha. My husband gave me an eye roll because of how dramatic I was about it, hahahaha. I hope the guy she didn’t choose can move on, he should have known signing up for the show the possibility of this happening. Although I will say, she did say some things to him on their last date that made me think he was the one, I was also a little mislead!
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, & Beers says
I’d love to take another Barre class. I haven’t done one since I tried Physique 57 in LA a few years back.
Paige @ Your Trainer Paige says
Lalalalalala – haha, skipped right through the Bachelorette talk because I’m watching it right now! Some breakfast entertainment lol
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul says
My guilty pleasure is anything on Bravo! I’m obsessed with Real Housewives and Ladies of London!
Karen says
All my TV is a guilty pleasure 😉 I only really watch TV to switch my brain off so I usually watch rubbish whenever I do watch it. I think I’m going to start either 90210 or Smallville… I know they’re already over but it’s nice to be able to catch up on all of something and not have to wait ages for one more episode! Or maybe I’ll catch up Pretty Little Liars… told you it was junky! Haha
Stacie@SimplySouthernStacie says
I got in late from vacation last night, so I had to DVR the episode. It is taking all my strength not to google what happened now!
Annette Perkins (@FitnessPerks) says
I’ve never watched the bachelor or bachelorette, but it sounds kind of dramatic! haha.
I’d love to take a barre class. I’m hoping soon!
slimsanity says
We still watch the Challenge and Real World on MTV haha
Natalie @ Never Serious Blog says
I haven’t been following this season, but I have liked reading and listening to recaps online and on the radio. It’s just so juicy! And I feel like ALL the TV I watch falls under “guilty pleasure” except for OITNB, because that’s just SO good.
karenmregan says
I am going way on the other end of the spectrum. I love Long island Medium. She cracks me up and I buy into what she tells people in every epsiode..
Tracy says
I have several guilty pleasure TV shows–the Bachelor/Bachelorette is definitely one of them, and Bachelor in Paradise is about to be next! I always watch it the next day when I’m on the treadmill or something, so this was the first live episode I’ve watched…and I’m SO glad I did. I could not believe [the guy she didn’t pick] said that. I guess she’s regretting not speaking to him privately prior to the show now. And I’m all for Marcus as the next Bachelor. He is ADORABLE.
Kelsie says
Haha definitely a good pun! And yes, I also agree that sometimes I can feel my brain physically rotting as I watch certain shows…Kardashians, OC Housewives, Ladies of London, Etc….that’s why I decided to put my cable on hold for the month of August and see how productive I can be without it. It’s a test period to determine if I should cancel cable all together. With football starting next month, not sure I can! But one day I just thought…”wow, I spend more time watching other people live their lives than I go out and live mine.”
I didn’t care for either of the final 2 (team Chris!) but that proposal and their actions after the proposal were just so fake and forced! I give them 6 months.
Julie says
I do actually like them together but I felt like Josh was reading off of a note card or something during his speech. It just seemed too memorized or something.
Erin says
Definitely Bachelor/Bachelorette (we have viewing parties every week) and The Real Housewives of NJ/OC/BH! I love all the crazy the ladies bring
Whitney says
I’m SO happy she chose Josh!!!! I thought this was a great season and I think Chris will make a good Bachelor. I did feel bad for Nick but he definitely got his jab in at her by airing their dirty laundry. But people are ridiculous if they think that doesn’t go on in the “fantasy suite” 🙂
Leah (goodnight cheese) says
I’m a sucker for America’s Next Top Model. Though the past few seasons it’s been more about “Let’s see how Tyra Banks can make this about herself.”
I also think Devious Maids is highly entertaining. I’ll watch anything with Judy Reyes (she played Carla on Scrubs).
Ariana says
I’ve always watched Teen Mom/16 and Pregnant (which might be ridiculous because I’m 2 months shy of being 26), but my newest and guiltiest TV pleasure is Preachers of LA ::sobs:: I actually have my DVR set to record the series so I never miss an episode….I’m ashamed just to admit that into the universe.
Beks says
I’ve never watched either The Bachelor or Bachelorette (I’m not a huge fan of reality TV, unless there’s dancing or clothes involved). But I’ve been trying to finish “Private Practice” on Netflix, and this show is such a flipping train wreck. These people cannot function in life. They’re way too self-involved. It’s ridiculous. Thankfully, I’m almost done (I have to finish shows I start. it’s kind of annoying).
Lindsey says
Real Housewives of everywhere and Mistresses…it’s so good!
Gillian says
I think what he said was awesome – a Bachelor first! It is sort of ridiculous that the show tries to be mysterious about the Fantasy Suite — we all know what happens in there 😉
Sara says
We canceled our cable a while ago which is probably for the better because now I am much more productive! I end up watching a lot of movies and such though – I do keep up with a few TV shows via Netflix.
Domi says
I was only half-watching the Bachelorette this season, and I skipped the finale to go to a self-defense class (which ended up being incredible- so worth it!)…but now I really want to watch it!
My guilty pleasure TV is definitely Gossip Girl reruns…I’ll put them on while I’m working out to distract myself from the fact that I’m sweating and in pain, and I can focus on Chuck Bass’ ridiculous fashion sense instead. 😉
Annie @ Whats Annie Making says
Oh my word! That episode was insane last night. I actually stopped and rewinded the “below the belt” moment to make sure that I heard it right. I couldn’t even believe that he said that!
And they never did reveal who the next Bachelor is. Probably just so they can get more people to watch the Bachelor in Paradise. Which I will. Because these shows are my guilty pleasure for sure. That and the Real Housewives.
Kristen @ Glitter and Dust says
Love the Bachelor/Bachelorette! This was definitely a more “mellow” season (compared to others with all the drama) but it was still fun. I am SUPER excited about Chris being the new Bachelor. He was my favorite – she missed out. 🙂
Eat Pray Run, DC says
i love all bach associated shows and was bummed that bach pad (remember that?!) was pulled but it looks like bach in paradise is going to be just as dramatic and ridiculous. yay!! i would call it a guilty pleasure except i feel NO guilt.
i was so grossed out by nick saying that. so unnecessary and so uncalled for. i would’ve loved to see josh’s reaction. that ain’t cool!
pure barre is my fav. do they use the double band at your studio? that thing is evil!! 🙂
Haley @Cupcakes and Sunshine says
Hahahaha! I couldn’t believe it! WAY too funny. Especially the whole unintentional pun thing. I agree with the comments above! Arie was SUCH a cutie. I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I follow him on Instagram!
LG says
I’m ashamed to admit it, but I “keep up” with the Kardashians. I also LOVE Extreme Weight Loss – it makes me cry every week. :0)
Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy says
I didn’t feel bad for Andi at all when he said that. She lead him on so badly, and I thought she was mean to him afterwards!
Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy says
led*
Amy @ Run with Perseverance says
Hahaha I didn’t even catch on to the unintentional pun! So great!! I could NOT believe he said that to her, and I also couldn’t believe Andi didn’t get up and punch him for saying that on live TV.
Rebecca Jo (@RebeccaJoKnits) says
I didn’t think I would watch Bachelor in paradise until I saw cops, handcuffs & ambulances. I gotta check that mess out!
Hillary says
I was SO shocked when he said “that.” It made me so made. What a jerk!
Kaella (KaellaOnTheRun) says
My girlfriends and I had to rewind the PVR to make sure we heard right!! Wowzer!!!
Amber Schumann says
Ooooooooh my goodness! You have me DYING to get home from work and catch up with the DVR. I didn’t get a chance to watch it last night, but accidentally saw who she chose on her instagram (Doh! I didn’t want to know yet!). But now I’m even more excited to see what happens! Bachelor/ette is definitely my guilty pleasure. And So You Think You Can Dance (but I don’t feel guilty about that one). And back in the day, Jersey Shore FOR SURE. Almost 30 plus being a mom = lots of guilt for those shows 😉
