This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!

I’d go for customizing the Nano-I’ve been doing more cross training workouts and these would be awesome! I Iike a purple/coral color combo, something unique that’s usually not available in stores. As for the personalization on the back-other than my name I’d need suggestions!
PS-I LOVE dots! Should have gotten some this year for trick or treaters so I could “sample” a few!
Melanie says
I would definitely have pink and blue in my design 🙂
Mary Anne says

That’s a cute gift idea writing out all those cards!
As for the shoes I’d do nano 3.0s
Not sure on all the colors but definitely a bright yellow or orange in there.
I’m terrible with coming up with something cool to write on them though.
Natasha says
Happy Halloween! I would customize Reeboks with a bright combination of purple and green because it’s just fun and unusual–where would one find purple and green shoes unless it was custom?! Maybe a message like, Catch Me, would be fun and motivational! 🙂
Liz says
Happy Halloween! I just had so much fun designing my own pair! What a great idea! I made a pair of crossfit nano 2.0 in the colors pink, yellow and bright blue! So cute!! I’d have to think of a fun saying for the back!

I would definitely get a pair of Nanos. I feel like should be wearing training shoes for my bootcamp class for some more stability, but am still using my regular running shoes.
Kelsey says
I would also do the nano speed! Light and fast! Would have some yellows and pinks in there or teals and navy. Maybe I’d have them say my name. Or “runs for peanut butter”!
Emese says
I would go with one of the nanos too! I have heard great things about both the 3.0 and speed. Perfect for training in the gym. Mine would have to include blue or coral somewhere on them.
Happy anniversary!
Melissa says
I’d go with the Crossfit Nanos w/ green and lime green. I think I’d write something like Run Free.
Nicole W says
I would also do a nano speed.. I think I would like to go with a soft grey into a nice Tiffany’s teal color. On the back I’d put something like “seriously go run” to give myself that little extra motivation!
Amanda H says
Oh man so many options! I love my Crossfit Nano 3.0s but don’t need another pair so…I think I would do the ATV19s since I need trail runners for my upcoming Spartan Race (eek!). I would make them black (so the mud wouldn’t show as much) with red accents and they would say “work hard” 🙂

I’m loving that red/blue combo you created!

I would definitely choose the Nano Speed as well. I love the slim, non bulky design that still offers support! I would probably go with a red, black, and grey color combination because those seem to match or coordinate with most other colors. For personalization, I would choose “Hebrews 12:1-2.” It says, “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfected of our faith.” Perfect motivation for workouts and for life.
diana says
