This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!
Traci says
Wow! Ryan did great with the purse!!
I’d be down for any reebok. Green or pink!
And probably something like “go my own way.” I like the personalization!
Michelle says
1. I would probably go for one of the Nano family…maybe the 3.0? I need something more for functional training than running (i am NOT a runner)
2. I can be totally girlie in some things-not my workouts, but my workout gear? yes. so, i’d go for a bright turquoise-y color with either hot pink or purple 🙂
3. I am not creative enough for anything fun, so i’d probably leave that be… or get “not now.” because sometimes people (guys) think it’s okay to engage me in a conversation while I’m lifting…it’s not.
Alicia Blackmer says
I would really like to try the nanos for stability during circuits. Pink and grey would be awesome and I wound personalize them with “Wont Stop”
Cassy says
I would choose the Nano’s. I’m im need of a black pair of shoes but would also include a bright pink or purple. I have never owned a pair of reeboks and wonder how they would compare to my nikes.
Cassy says
In addition, I would want the back of the left to say “Train Mean” and the right “Get Lean”
Shannon says
I’m not sure what style, but I would so with some kind of pink and black design! 🙂
Danielle says
I would include really bright, neon colors – yellows, oranges, and reds!
Jenny Ou says
I would LOVE to customize a pair of Nanos!! Most likely a red/pink shoe because I’ve been dying for a pair in that color! I’d keep the wording simple with my name (so creative, I know :P).
Kirsten Fefchak says
I would try the crossfit nano speed shoes probably as I have the nanos already and they are great for lifting but hard on the knees to run in and I would like a more versatile shoe! However the lifters would be neat to try as well! I would design a crazy colored shoe with lots of bright colors like the ultra violet and the pink and bright blues! and my shoes would say GO HARD!
Holli Bruce says
I think I would go for Nanos… with green and blue as the colors!
Ashley says
What a neat idea! I am digging the neon yellow these days, so I’d go with that, and have something like “Rockstar” written on the back.
Jennie says
I like the Realflex Strength or the Realflex Scream in either excellent red/gravel or prospect purple/solid teal!
Steph says
I would put “Work B*itch” on my shoes from the new Britney Spears song, my go to to work out jam to stay motivated!!!
I would add neon pink to the shoes…maybe royal blue!
Marin says
Oh man, I’ve been wanting to try the nano speeds for ages–I’ve heard such great things about them!
I just got married earlier this month (!!!!), so I’d love to customize them with my new initials or last name!
josephine says
That’s a great gift – what a thinker he is!
Christina @ The Beautiful Balance says
I love all bright colored sneakers! The more obnoxiously bright, the better, in my opinion! LOVE these sneakers!
Katie says
I would pick either the Ventilator or the ONE Cushion
I’d probably go with a mostly black shoe with a couple of funky accent colors… neon green and purple!
If I personalized them, I’d probably put my roller derby name on there.
Lauren says
I’d incorporate teal and hot pink and probably put something like “fast lady” on the heels haha
Stephanie says
I would LOVE to customize a pair of nanos! I recently invested in a pretty expensive pair of running shoes, and am in serious need of a sturdy, low-to-the-ground shoe to use while strength training. It’s so difficult to balance while doing squats and lunges that I’m sometimes reluctant to lift during the week… having a pair of nanos would hopefully help motivate me to get back on track!
Jordan says
I would definitely have to include the colors yellow and black 🙂
Jordan says
I would definitely have to include the colors yellow and black 🙂

I absolutely LOVE the new Reebok Shoes! I would definitely incorporate lots of bright colors like pink, orange, and yellow into my shoes!! 🙂
Megan says
I would choose something with good support and in fun, motivating colors like teal & lime green!
Maggie says
I would write my grandma’s name, Joyce, on the back because thinking of her always gives me the strength to run one more lap!
tiffany says
i’d get the crossfit nano speed and go with a mostly red shoe!
Felecia says
I would love to customize some crazy colorful shoes! Having bright, colorful shoes is definitely a motivator for me… when I look at them I just want to put them on!
heather says
I’d design the nano 3.0’s(its a dope shape)and I’d make them lavender, purple, and pale yellow– I’d personalize them with my graphic design company’s name. This is a pretty cool giveaway, regardless of who wins. <3
Hannah says
I would LOVE a pair of the Nanos, I started Crossfit a few months ago and am considering buying ‘proper’ shoes for my workouts and LOVE that you can customize them on their site, I have a pair stored that are red and bright blue (both colours I love)
As for the personalisation, I recently got declared NED (No Evidence of Disease) after fighting stomach cancer for the last year and a bit so I’d get that date on them – the day I could start looking forward again and to remember you’re ALWAYS stronger than you think you can ever be!
GretchenP says
would love nano 3.0’s! i’d want them bright bright bright! def purple and pink with some yellow and blue and orange accents?? too much!?!? lol 🙂 thanks for the giveaway!! 🙂
lindsay says
I’ve been coveting the nano 3’s!!! Perfect for kickboxing/circuit/kettlebell class that I do 5-6x a week!
Nicole says
I would LOVE nanos to use during circuit workouts and BodyPump. I’m kind of over the super bright shoe thing so I’d do mostly grey with a splash of color, probably teal or blue so I can wear them with pink OR red and black OR brown.
Pua says
I love the nanos! I’d probably go with mostly black with some pops of hot pink.
Nicole says
I actually think I would get “free indeed” on then. I really like the verse it comes from and it has a lot of personal meaning to me after battling through some issues. I struggle with body image and being obsessive more at the gym than anywhere and this would be a fun reminder to myself that I am not held captive of that anymore. Instead, I am free and free indeed 🙂
Plus it’s a lot less lame than just my name.
Sarah says
I would definitely go with the Nano Speed as I’ve heard plenty of positive reviews about them and am in dire need of some new cross-training workout shoes. I would probably incorporate green, blue, and maybe some yellow and/or purple into the design, but I know it’ll take me a while to make up my mind if given the opportunity!
Kerry @ The Adventures of Z and K says
Mine would most definitely be red and black (to match pretty much my entire wardrobe, home decor, etc…what can I say it’s my favorite color combination!). As for personalization I think I would put my new initials: I’m getting married in just over a month!
Alena says
Blue one is the best!
I would say to them – Come to me! I want you so much….))))
anne says
I’d probably choose Nano as well. Colours would be dominated by baby blue, my favourite colour, and I’d personalise it with words ‘mai hai’ because they represent wood and water elements, something I need more of in my life 🙂
Carly says
I am not well educated on the types of Reeboks (a sneaker is a sneaker, right??) 😀 so I’d have to look at my options, but for the colors, I would go with a color scheme I don’t already have so maybe white and purple! Maybe no tagline for me… not until I can think of something witty enough 😉
Sarah says
I would love to try the Nano Speed – and would go with some bright colors to get me through the dull winter!
Amy @ Run with Perseverance says
This is fun! I’d probably use a lot of neon colors if I were able to customize some shoes.
Glenneth says
probably the real flex strength and i would do something in pinks and purples.
Allison says
I would choose the Nano 3.0’s and probably put my initials on them. Customizing these is so fun!
Alison Althouse says
What a great motivating giveaway! I’d pick a shoe that would be good for walking when I’m shooting an event (i’m a sports photographer) and go with either Navy colors (blue & gold) or something with red (my company color)…. Then add my company name (Alisportshots).. Gotta be a better choice than the Merrill’s I’ve been wearing! Great giveaway, julie… Someone’s going to be thrilled with this one !
Leah says
I’d try a pair of nanos
Runner Girl Eats says
I would LOVE to personalize these in my wedding colors (navy and neutrals) with my new last name 🙂

I would definitely put some neon colors to get me motivated for a workout!
Rachael Midura says

Erica @ For the Sake of Cake says
Love the bag–what an awesome surprise!
I’d definitely incorporate purple into my shoes because that’s my favorite color!
Diana says
What a gorgeous bag!
I’d like to customize the nanos too… I’ve been eying them. I’d probably do them in teal, since most of my workout clothes seems to be that color. And I have no idea what I’d write on them… I’m never original when it comes to that stuff
Andreea Ciulac says
Hi there,
It’s my first comment on your blog, but I just couldn’t resist anymore when I saw this amazing concept. We temporarily live on a very tight budget, but try to purchase good quality shoes whenever possible because it’s a long time investment. My husband ADORES Reebok and this will be a great Christmas gift in advance. He would most likely choose blue and gray and write something bold like “Never give up” or “Dream big”!
Natasha says
I always feel like my anniversary gives fall flat compared to my husbands. He is amazing when it comes to gift giving. I would design my shoes with navy and greys or do orange and blue! Go gators!
