This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!

I would definitely do a bright color! Either pink or orange would probably be in the mix 🙂
Sara says
I think I would try to go with a theme… Like orange and blue and out “go cuse” on the back!
Jana L. says
Ooo I’d customize some Nanos! I’ve been wanting to try a pair since they came out. I’d probably make it say something silly or nerdy on the back. Because that’s how I roll.
Chelsea says
I would love a new pair of trainers! I accidentally left mine in a hotel last month and never saw them again! I would probably pick a combo of gray/teal because those are my favorite colors right now. I don’t think I would customize mine because I’m not clever at all!
janet says
the purple Nano ones with pink for decor ..and I would put on the back “getting there one step at a time”!
Sarah says
I would go into it saying I wouldn’t throw some splashes of pink in there, but they would absolutely come out with splashes of pink. Love the ones you designed, they look speedy!
Nicole says
Nano’s! I’ve heard such great things about them. The blue and pink or the purple color are both so nice. As for the back, I’d have to think about that! Ryan’s gift to you is BEAUTIFUL, what a gem! I’m definitely using your idea too, so sweet!!

I love your design! These days I’m crushing on pink and gray so that’s probably what my shoe would like like. Maybe add in some neon orange or green.

Nano speed with lots of pink! My initials!

Meghan says
How cool! I would definitely use yellow! Yellow is such a happy color and it would get me excited to work out! 🙂
Morgan says
I love bright colors on shoes but in more of an accent than an overall color which seems to be the norm nowadays. It would be awesome to be able to build my perfect color combo! As for what they would say??? I have no idea :o)
Kristen says
I love Dots, too–you are not alone!
When my hyper sister was learning to drive, she would get super excited when a red light would turn green and she would shout “green means go!” and floor it. For some reason, this has actually been one of my weird running mantras (I wear a green watch or bracelet when I race and it reminds me to run faster!). So…I would have to say that if I designed shoes, they would have to be green and, obviously, they would need to say “green means go!”.
Bridget says
Not sure what sneakers I would pick but they would definitely need some bright blue!
shannon says
I would go for a muted color since a lot of my workout gear is bright. Maybe grey and blue?! I would probably spend too much time on there contemplating like you!
Donna says
I would do a pair of the Reebok Nano Speed and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the purple, blue, gray combo you did!! I have all tanks in those colors and I think it would look fab! I don’t think I would do any writing though.
Maureen @SheisMoments says
I’m feeling bright… I would want a bright green, orange, or pink in my design I think!

I would definitely get the nanos and personalize them with “I think I can”. I a slow runner but while training for my first half I kept saying I was the Little Engine that Could and said it over and over on the tough parts.
Victoria S says
I would definitely do hot pink with my name on the back! these are adorable!
Elizabeth says
Grey with pops of pinks! I’d put.. follow happiness:)
tracey says
What a fun giveaway! I’m not sure about the colors— maybe greens and pinks?
I’d put DIG on one heel and DEEP on the other… just to remind myself to dig deep and keep going!! 🙂
Stephanie says
I would love to customize the nano speed. I don’t do crossfit, but I love to do exercise videos that involve crosstraining and plyo so they seem like a great fit. I would design them with bright colors because I love a cheerful shoe to look at in the morning. I doubt I would put any words on them though, not creative enough. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway
Lauren says
I like the Nano Speed, too!
Linda says
I would decorate the nano’s. This is great.
Chelsea @ Chelsea Eats Treats says
If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say? “See ya”
