This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!

I would customize a pair of nanos with grey and pink! Favorite color combo and favorite shoes!
Amy says
I would definitely customize a pair of the Nano 3.0s if I could! I tend to like more masculine colors like black, grey, dark red, and dark blue. I would have to put some more thought into how to personalize my shoes!
Maggie says
I would love to design a pair of nanos with a combination of black and bright neon colors! I’d try to come up with something motivational to tag them with. Could use a literal kick of motivation to stay on track 🙂

Also I think I’d choose to customize the Reebok Nano Speed also, colored maybe with a touch of pink I think and/or bright green. Also I would get it customized to say my nickname ReeBeeDoo actually 🙂 cause I’m a dork like that.
Helen says

Rebecca Daley says
So exciting!! I have holes in my current shoes…would love to win 🙂 I would choose the new 3.0’s, I have heard great things about them. I would probably do bright blue, bright pink, and grey. I would put “just” on the left shoe and “run” on the right.
Elisabeth says
I would customize Reebok Nano Speed and get “Lizard” as my personalization, but I think the best part would be experimenting with different colour combinations like you did.
LaurenM says
I would customize the nano speed shoe too – I’ve heard such great things! I think I would go for a black base with pops of bright colors.
Maureen Polson says
I would design a pair of Ziglite runs in blue and yellow and personalize the back with the words Boston Strong. I am training for my first marathon which will be the Rock n Roll in Raleigh which will be 2 days before the 1 year anniversary of the Marathon bombings. I will be running for those lost and injured. As a Bostonian, it will be day I will never forget.
Tracey says
I love the CrossFit Nano 2.0. I think I would have to play around with blues and greys, with a hint of either green or orange.
Love the look of the customized shoe!
Meredith says
Definitely the Reebok Nano Speed. I would incorporate some pink and yellow. Not sure what I would personalize with..maybe my new daughter’s nick name “peanut” 🙂
Sum1sBubba says
I’d love a pair of cool green and blue running shoes!
Kelly says
I’d try the same – Crossfit Nano Speed. I think I’d go with lots of neon colors! I think it would be neat to put something like “don’t be last” on the back… but I don’t know if it lets you do that many letters.
Jessica says
I would choose the Nano Speed, I love the Ultra Blue Blink color with gray or purple or even neon green colors!
I’m not that original, probably my name would go on the back. 🙂
Layla says
I would want to try the Reebok nano speed also! I would definitely incorporate some green.
Melisa says
I would definitely go for the Nanos. In Purple and lime green.
sarah cokes says
I would go for one of the zig styles but i’m not sure which one. and i love turquoise everything, so maybe that and red?? AND i think i’d put something really weird on them, like hotdog or toodles haha. i am so random i would spend hours trying to decide!!
sara says
I love anything green, so a bright green would be my choice.
Jill c says
Would love the nanos!
A lot of blue and grey
“Last chance” a saying I have always kept in the back of my mind because you never know when it will be your last chance to workout and work your hardest.
Jessica says
These are awesome! I would do mine in purple for sure!
Brandi says
I would probably get the Nano Speed in Blue w/Pink highlighting
Ore says
I would also choose to customize the Reebok CrossFit Nano Speed. When completing CrossFit workouts, it can be difficult transitioning for heavy lifting to speed and endurance. It would be nice to have a shoe that helps me for the entire workout, from lifting and moving heavy loads to running (although hopefully not to much running!).
I’d choose the colors orange and blue for color contrasts.
and to personalize them, I would use the phrase “BEASTMODE!” That’s the phrase I use to fuel and motivate me for that extra push at the end!
Ali says
Blue and grey, I think!
Lauren D says
I would choose the Nano 2.0 and I would definitely have to do a pink and green combination! I think I would opt out of personalizing them with my name or anything though.
Lindsay D says
I would want to customize the Nanos… So fun!

Erika Jensen says
I would love to try the Nano 3.0’s! I played way too long on colors, but it’s so fun, like paint by numbers. I loved the combo of grey, candy pink, and some pops of neon orange. I would totally customize with “MOVE IT”; after all I should be moving it in these sweet kicks.
Shari says
I would do black, yellow, and maybe an accent of bright blue or purple.
Natasha says

Danielle M. says
I would definitely have to add some purple to my shoes!!

Ooh I love this giveaway! They would be Nano Speeds, in pink, white and navy, and they would probably have a silly running pun on the back of them…
Danielle Dumont says
I think I would try out the Nano Speeds per your recommendation. They look like they’d be the most fun to customize, too! Although I typically get way too excited by all the color varieties when playing around with customizers, I know that my favorite hue of blue will be a requirement on some new kicks!
Allison says
I would try the Nano’s and there would have to be pink in them!
