This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!
KIM says
Personalize it – “Run like there is no tomorrow” (might be too long)
Bright colors but uncertain of the combo yet
Kelly says
I would pick the nanos in pink and purple, and in the back ” Bad Ass”
.
Kristin B says
I would choose the Nano Speed because I just got the nike training app based on your post and I think I could benefit from a good pair of gym shoes for circuit training versus my normal running shoes! I would make them shades of blue and add in a neon somewhere to brighten them up!
Rebecca says
The Nano Speeds! I’d love to do teal and grey, and then probably another bright color in there, too!
Kc says
Nanos
Bright pink and orange
Love yourself
🙂
Kelly says
I am typically pretty boring when it comes to colors…but these shoes make me want to be a little bold! Maybe purple & black/grey???
Tara says
Definitely the Nano 2.0!
I would incorporate bright green and blue. Most of my workout clothes are these colors and I love to match (most of the time!).
If I could personalize them, I would put Bearcat XC. I ran cross country in college and those ladies are still some of my closest friends. Although we are all over the country now, we keep each other close to our hearts, always! It would be awesome to have a reminder of them on my shoes, especially during hard workouts! We love our alma mater as well!
Bridget says
I’d probably go for the Nano speed also. I love bright colors…so bright & neon colors would be my choice. I would also personalize it.
Ally says
I would make them purple and turquoise!

I would make them gray with another bright color and monogram the back!
Jessica @ Fit Talker says
Such great timing! I was just on the reebok website yesterday looking at the custom shoes but realized I probably shouldn’t drop $150 at this exact moment.
I’m new to Reebok sneakers but am intrigued by the ATV19 and the Crossfit Nano 3.0.
I think I’d probably do black as the main color and then NEON or something bright for the accents.
Fingers crossed!!
Kelly says
I would definitely throw some pink in there and try to spice it up with other bright colours because there is nothing that gets me more excited about going to the gym than bright fun shoes! And I might even add a tagline like, “Catch me if you can!” on the back, since it will probably be other people reading the backs of my shoes. 🙂
ErikaMC says
I spent a lot of time playing with shoe colors too this afternoon! I would love to have a pair of Nano 2.0s. They have so many fun color combinations. Awesome giveaway!
Happy Anniversary 🙂
Emily says
I would customize the crossfit nanos 3.0 and probably choose pink and black!
Robin says
I’d make mine purple — it’s my favorite color and I almost always wear purple shoes while running! My favorite running quote is “Your legs aren’t giving out, your head is giving up” but that probably wouldn’t fit haha. I think I would customize it with 26.2
Jacquelyn says
Possibly the Crossfit Nano 3.0 or 2.0

I would choose the Nano Speeds (I’ve been dying to try them) in blue and orange for my alma mater, UF! I think it would be funny to put something like “eat my dust” on the back, but a monogram or “Go Gators” would work too 🙂
Toni says
Definitely the Nano 3.0 in steel, black and sonic green. Already played with them online and they look great!!! But no monogram

I love dots too Julie. You are not alone!!
I would incorporate teal into my shoes. I always get my new running shoes from Bolder Running company where they pick the shoes out for you. The last two pairs have been teal and I have loved them both so much, so I think I will stick to that color scheme!
Laura says
I’d definitely customize the Nano speed and for colors I think I’d do some greys, blacks and whites with maybe some red to make it pop!

Shelly says
I’m not sure what shoe I’d choose yet, but I’d definitely make them pink!

I keep reading awesome reviews about the Nano Speed Shoes – I’d love them for the cross training I’ve been incorporating, instead of just my running shoes. They’d look great with in the grey/purple/green combo that I used for our wedding! and a monogram or the use of my new last name would be fun way to personalize them.
Jess says
Love this giveaway! I think I would do the Nano Speeds, as well. I love bright colored shoes, so I’m sure I would find obnoxious colors to suit me! My last customized pair from Nike said “Refuse to Sink.” Those shoes got me through my first marathon, so I would probably use that again!
Kristin says
I would customize the Reebok Nano Speed and I would do a rainbow of neon colors! I need an exciting, colorful, and fast shoe! And if I personalized it, I would put my high school sports team nickname on the back!
Lauren Tracey says
I would definitely chose the brightest color options and have them say ‘Run Lauren Run’ on the back..or ‘Catch’ on one foot and ‘Me’ on the other haha.

P.S. LOOOVE that purse! Way to go Ryan! 🙂

Tiffany says
Ooooo pick me!! 🙂 I would choose between the Crossfit Nano 3.0 or the ZigLite Rush. My colors would range from purple, teal, and gray to possibly maroon, deep purple, and a burnt orange (clearly I have not been planning on designing my own shoe! :)). I would definitely have my shoes say “Move It” on both shoes that way when I or others see them, the catchy “I like to move it, move it” song will help get others as well as myself up and movin’! 🙂
Emily R. says
I would customize the Nano’s in either pink and white or purple and grey!! No monogramming, though! 🙂
Lindsay says
I would customize the CrossFit Nano 3.0. They would definitely be a fun addition to my Les Mills classes! I’d customize them in pink and green – the colors of my sorority and my monogram on the back!
