This Halloween is full of treats!
The treats began last night in our house when Ryan and I exchanged our anniversary gifts. I totally dropped the ball and didn’t end up finding anything leather, so I veered from the traditional anniversary gift themes and gave him clothes and a little box of goodies.
I attached little cards to various food and beverage items that I know Ryan likes and used the name of the item in a sentence about why I love being married to him!
For example, attached to a bag of Combos pretzels, I wrote a card that said I love you because “you’re the perfect COMBO-nation of playful, loving, supportive and fun!” On a bag of Smartfood popcorn I wrote, “You’re SMART and challenge me… in a good way!” It was a fun project and I hope it conveyed to Ryan just how much he means to me.
We don’t normally go all-out for anniversary gifts, so I was shocked when I opened Ryan’s gift to me and found a beautiful new leather purse that can be both a cross-body purse or a clutch.
He went above and beyond and saved for it and I absolutely love what he picked out! I was shocked and so impressed and told him that I will wear it all day and all night! He definitely put my gift to shame. Thank you, Ryan!!
Treats continued at work today. Even though I work at a gym, we’re not above celebrating with a little candy!
My coworkers made fun of me because I grabbed a box of DOTS. Do people not like DOTS? I am so out of the loop. It’s not like I was loving on Bit O’ Honeys or something! Give me a little credit!
Once I was done working and teaching, I headed home for a late lunch which came together in no time at all thanks to leftovers.
I reheated last night’s crock pot dish of pulled chicken, potatoes, carrots and onion and ate it with an apple and a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
It was delicious!
And now it’s time to share a little Halloween treat with you!
YourReebok Giveaway
I have a feeling quite a few of you will be pumped for this giveaway!
This month, through my on-going partnership with Reebok, I was able to experience the company’s YourReebok page which allows people to customize shoes using various colors and personalization touches.
Since the Reebok Nano Speed has quickly become by all-time favorite Reebok shoe, I knew they were the pair of shoes I wanted to use as my design guinea pig!
I spent a little too long on the website and think I designed four different shoes before I finally settled on a certain look.
And yes, you can personalize the back of the shoes! I ended up opting out of that feature because I couldn’t think of anything more creative than my name to put on the back of my shoe, but I’m sure people come up with some awesome nicknames or funny taglines!
I played around with super bright colors, muted colors, lots of white and lots of color but in the end I put together a shoe with lots of purple and gray and a touch of light blue.
They should be arriving sometime next week and I am pumped to put them to good use!
And now it’s your turn to customize a pair of Reebok shoes!!! One PBF reader will win a gift card to customize the Reebok shoes of their choice.
To enter this giveaway, simply comment below, answering one (or all) of the following questions:
- Which pair of Reebok shoes would you customize?
- What colors do you think you would incorporate into your design?
- If you personalize your shoes, what would you want them to say?
I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!!!
Kathryn says
I would design the most obnoxiously bright pair possible!
Haley says
I love the Nanos! I’m a pink kind of gal, so I would choose pink for the shoes, along with blue and white.
Kristin says
I would do the nano’s. My favorite color is purple so I would use that with a combination of other bright colors. I love bright colors for workout gear because it always gets me motivated! I’d try to come up with a motivational quote or something on the back of my shoes
Stephanie says
I like the ZigLite Run. The aubergine color is pretty. As far as what to put on the back, I could go silly with “speed” and “demon,” or inspirational with some combination of the words breathe, stretch, or run.
Grace says
I could go for pair of nanos that I’ve been wanting to try in my crossfit classes! I’d probably combine some hot and cool colors for a nice blend, plus some motivating words for the back like “Go for it!”
Sarah says
Oh my gosh I’ve been having so much fun playing with the design. I would design the Nano Speeds using pink and sonic green, primarily. I would personalize them with something motivational so every time I lace up I have something to gear me up mentally. I love that Reebok is doing these custom designs!
Deb says
So fun! I’d customize them with a gray fade and the word “solemates” on the back. Gets me smiling every time I lace up for a workout!

I’d pick the Nano Speed shoes also, and since my favorite colors tend to be purples, greens, and blues, I have a feeling they would follow that trend.
Cute purse, you are one lucky lady!!

I started at a Crossfit gym last month and my research is showing that the Reebok Nano 2.0s or Speed are good for Crossfit. I would design them in Yellow and Blue. I’m not very creative so I probably wouldn’t put any words on them either. Thanks for the giveaway.
Stephanie B. says
Aw, your anniversary gift to Ryan is so nice, thoughtful, and creative – I’m sure it means so much to him! And that purse is beautiful – good job, Ryan! You guys are such a cute and inspirational couple. I think I would customize the Nano 3.0, and I came up with a blue, violet and gray design that I like. Thanks for the giveaway, and happy belated anniversary!
Sarah says
I would go for the Nano’s. I’ve heard great things and I was looking at a pair the other day! I want to say since my running shoes have pink in them I would go for something different. Maybe teal and bright yellow or green. Maybe I would personalize them with the date I got them to know how long I’ve had em for. Haha!
Tamara @ Lively Happenings says
I would totally customize the Nano Speeds & I’m thinking Neon Cherry, Candy Pink, Blue Blink and White! I may want them with my initials, or left blank – no cool nicknames here!
Carrie Baehr says
Happy Anniversary! We will celebrate 4 years next month! Love your themes!!!
I would personalize the Women’s ZigLite Rush with the personalization of Carriebear (my nickname from my sick grandfather and really close to my real name Carrie Baehr – God knew what he was doing when he sent me my sweet hubby. 🙂

Not sure about which shoe yet, but I’d have to do something with hot pink, purple & dark grey. I’d put “I think I can, I think I can” on the back, just like the Little Engine that Could. I’m self confident in all areas of my life except the gym, but I keep going & surprising myself.

Crossfit Nano’s!!! I’d choose bright colors – coral, neon green, maybe a little teal? So many options! Don’t think I’d personalize them since I’m not the most creative person when it comes to that kind of stuff!
Paula says
I would definitely go for the Nano Speed. Then I’d change my mind about colors about a million times and agonize over whether I had the best combination. My final choice would inevitably be bright and obnoxious, with blue blink, cherry and neon orange or yellow. As a tribute to my high school cross country coach, the only words that belong on the shoe are “Go to the well.”
Mackenzie says
Happy Halloween indeed!! What a great giveaway! 🙂 I would choose the Nanos because I could use a pair of shoes for cross-training, and have heard nothing but rave reviews. Definitely some type of neon color combo to pump me up. If I personalized them, I’d pick BWE, for Best Workout Ever (based on an inside joke with my college girlfriends).
Aska says
I would definitely incorporate pink into my shoes! Love your new purse- what a thoughtful husband!
Barbara says
I’m thinking green and navy blue…so fun! By the way, I chose Dots today too (out of a bunch of choices). My boss and I were walking over to the candy at the same time and I said to him, “you better not take the Dots!”. He jokingly took them and then gave them to me – there was only one box. I think it’s a great choice! 🙂
Jackie says
I want some nanos so bad!!!! They would be bright and beautiful! No idea what they would say but there would be something motivational for sure. Pick me! 🙂

Happy anniversary! My fiance and I plan on getting married next year around this same time.
