Happy Birthday Wishes

Today’s lunch was awfully similar to last night’s dinner.

I love it when pears are soft (not mushy!) and full of flavor. I feel like good pears are hard to come by, so I better stock up during my next visit to the grocery store.

Today is a very special day! I must take a minute to wish a very happy 28th birthday to Ryan.

    I saw on Yahoo newsline that today is the most common birthday. Most people are born today than any other day.. look it up!

    I read an article yesterday that said that October 5th is the most common birthday in the world because it coincides with being conceived on New Year’s Eve. Not something you want to think about on your birthday, but funny nonetheless!

    [sidenote: why is it that dogs seem to love their poppas more than their mommas…even though we OBVI love them more? yeah, i’ll admit it. i’m jealous that my Mila seems to prefer my hubby more than me. don’t judge me.]

      It is because dogs are pack animals and they perceive males as the alpha dog. We ladies can take comfort in the argument that our dogs don’t necessary love men more, they are just pre-dispositioned to obey to the alpha dog figure.

    I’m not sure why dogs favor their dad more. Maybe because they rough house more? I have the same issue. : ) I try to deny it but I know it’s true.

    That is such a sweet post! It nice to see happy marriages in the world and not so many filled with pain and ending in divorce. May you and Ryan live life to the fullest and continue to love each other even when you’re 80 years old and (probably still running though!) wrinkled and gray!!
