Happy Friday! How about a giveaway to kick off your Friday morning?
If you adore high-quality fruit, today’s giveaway will be right up your alley.
Back in October I had the honor of touring the incredible Harry & David orchards in Medford, Oregon with a handful of other bloggers. It was a truly unforgettable trip and I fell in love with the company, their delicious food and beautiful Oregon!
I’ve stayed in touch with the folks at Harry & David and was awfully excited when one of their incredible gift baskets showed up at my doorstep last Saturday.
The basket was the company’s Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe and I immediately pulled all of the different kinds of delicious fresh fruit out of the basket to check out the goods!
As of this morning, Ryan and I have made our way through 90 percent of the basket and were, once again, impressed with the high quality of the fruit Harry & David delivered. Every single piece of fruit was blemish-free and full of flavor.
Naturally the company’s pears deserve a lot of praise, but I was particularly impressed with the quality of the mango, kiwi and pineapple in this basket!
I swear this stuff is like fruit candy. So sweet!
As for the gift basket itself, you better believe I kept it. We’re now using it as a pretty way to store towels.
And now here’s your chance to win your own Harry & David Fresh Fruit Basket Deluxe!
In the basket:
- 3 Royal Riviera Pears
- 4 Apples
- 2 Kiwi
- Papaya
- Pineapple
- Baby Bananas
- 2 Limes
- Avocado
- Mango
To enter this giveaway, please leave a comment below, telling me what fruit you’re most excited to try in the basket, or, if you’d like to send the basket to someone else as a surprise, please comment telling me who you’d send it to and why. I will randomly select a winner on Monday morning.
Good luck!
The pears!! I’ve never tried them!
My sister and I just started our spring semesters at college, but for some reason my mom is taking it harder this year with us being gone. She really misses us after having us both home for so long after the holidays. So I would definitely choose to send her the fruit basket, if it’s anywhere as good as you make it sound I know she will love it! Especially since she is trying to eat healthier!
Looks delicious!! I am craving those pears and pineapple. Both of my kids love fruit although they have never tried mango or papaya so that would be interesting. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I have to pick ONE fruit I’m most excited for? How is that possible? Maybe the mango!
I’ve never tried a Harry and David pear so I would be excited about that. But I’m pregnant and have been craving a mango for months!!!
Pineapple and Avocado are my favorites!
That basket looks delish! I would be most excited to try the pears that you speak so highly of 🙂
I’d be most excited to try the pears! Up until recently, I thought I didn’t like them and a friend offered me a piece and I was like “What pear-less island have I been living on the past 27 years?!”
I am most excited about the pears, they are basically famous!
I would like to send the basket to my mom, she would LOVE it. Especially since we both are still on our New Years kick!
That pineapple just looks lovely!
My aunt used to send our family a box of their pears every year and they were SO GOOD.
Oh my goodness! Harry & David has always been a favorite for my mom 🙂 she’s such a wonderful, supportive role model in my life, I’d love to surprise her with something I know she’d truly love and appreciate!
Mmm, I love mangoes but haven’t had one in years! I bet the Harry & David ones are fabulous.
I adore pineapple! I’ve never had a Harry and David basket. I would love to win :).
That fruit looks wonderful!!!! So yummy!
I’d love the papaya! Cut in half, scoop out the seeds, squeeze a slice of the lime on top and scoop the pulp out with a spoon! PERFECTION! I love your blog!
I would love to try Harry & David Pears. And since I just found out I am pregnant (shhh its still a secret) this seems like the perfect food to be eating! Lots of color and nutrition!
What an awesome giveaway! I would love to try the Royal Riviera Pears!!! YUM!
I LOVE Harry and David fruit and have been jealous of your trip ever since you went. But, my sister in law just had major surgery due to lupus attacking her organs and I think this lovely basket would definitley brighten her day!! Thanks for all your hard work, Julie! 🙂
I’d love to use this basket to mix up my smoothies. Lately it’s really only been bananas for the fruits in there.
winning this basket would be like winning the lottery! i LOVE LOVE LOVE harry & david pears and would love to try all the other fruit especially that pineapple! it looks soooo good!
I would love to try the pears, they are my favorite and I never have luck picking them myself.
I’d be most excited to try the pears. You are always raving about them!
Any fresh fruit this time of the year sounds good to me!
I am a big fruit eater, but I have never just eaten a fresh papaya… Always have it in a smoothie or an alcoholic beverage I get from someplace :). I rarely buy tropical fruits because they intimidate me! I would love to try the papaya!!
I would be most excited about trying the pineapple. It’s hard to get good pineapple in the winter, especially since you said their’s tastes like candy! I would also be pumped to try their pears 🙂
I would love to send the basket to my grandmother. She loves fresh fruit and could use some cheering up right about now. This long cold winter is getting to her! 🙂
I have never tried papaya and love pretty much every fruit so I would love to try it! Plus the basket is so cute!
I would love to try that pineapple!!
I would love to try the pears! I am making a pear tart for my mom as part of a celebratory dinner I’m cooking for her, to celebrate her retirement. She’s been very into pears recently and these would be perfect.
The basket looks beautiful and everything sounds delicious! But I would love to try their pears 🙂
WHAAAAT? ugh, Harry & David pears are my j-a-m. I’ve never tried their mango before!
I’d love to get my hands on that papaya!
I am UBER excited about the pineapple!! I would send it to my mother-in-law. She’s 79 and still runs a horse farm. Good nutrition is what keeps her going! Plus– she’d probably share the pineapple with me if I asked. #winning 🙂
I LOVE mangoes!
I am most excited to try the mangoes because its very tricky to get great ones in Washington!
I think maybe its Guava? not sure i’ve ever had it before – but the mangos looks so yummy too!!
I have tried their pears (with some havarti cheese, yum!), but that pineapple looks amazing! I would love to try one and maybe if I’m feeling nice I’ll share it with my mom. 😉
P.S. Your blog has become part of my morning routine to get the day going. I love seeing what you’ve created in the kitchen or your next idea to mix up a workout.
Pineapple! It’s my favorite food by far. I’m a college student and its hard to get quality produce in such a small town, so this basket would be amazing.
that pineapple looks delicious! thats what i would be most excited to try 🙂
mango!
I have had Harry and David fruit and they are amazingly good! I’ve never had their mangoes and I love mangoes so that would by my choice but I would love all of those fruits! Thanks!
Haven’t had good pineapple in ages so I’d love some of that!
I must admit I’ve never had Harry and David fruit 🙁 So, I would want to try the pears FOR SURE…but mango is my favorite fruit, so I’d be pretty excited that was included too!
Love the basket used for the towels…beautiful all around!
If I were to win, I’d send the basket to my grandma! My grandpa recently passed away from a very progressive cancer, within weeks of diagnosis… I would love to send her an amazing gift basket in hopes of lifting her spirits, at least momentarily.
The fruit in the basket looks so delicious! I’m trying to eat healthier and fruit is not normally something I just love (I love vegetables — fruit not as much). But, the fruit in this basket looks so good that it makes me want some!
Mmmm, the basket looks amazing! I’d love to send the basket to my boyfriend! He loves mango and fruit! It’d be fun to surprise him!
I really want to try the baby bananas. I wonder if they are sweeter than their “adult” counterparts? I could also see an amazing pineapple guacamole made with many of that basket components. Thanks!!
I LOVE fruit so I would love everything in this basket! The pineapple would be especially yummy because it’s out of season and a fruit I rarely buy myself. If I won, I would consider sending it to my mom for Valentine’s day. She works so hard and deserves some love!
Definitely the mango! Yumm!
