I’ll be back in a bit for your regularly scheduled blogging but right now it’s time to announce the kickoff of Healthy Holidays Giveaway Week!

Several weeks ago, I reached out to some of my favorite companies with a fun and festive idea.

An entire week of fitness-related holiday giveaways!

The giveaways start today and will last through Sunday. Every day I will be featuring a different holiday giveaway on the blog. Stay tuned for giveaways that include new gym shoes, fitness apparel, race entries and more!

To say that I am in love with BIC Bands would be an understatement. I wear BIC Bands every single day of the week. They’re the best workout headbands I’ve ever tried because they actually stay in place through long runs, circuit workouts… even burpees! Woop!

My favorite BIC Bands are the sparkly ones, but I am also a sucker for the fun patterns and holiday prints. So cute!

Another thing I love? The story behind the headbands.

They began as a fundraiser to help Sandy raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through Team in Training as she trained for her first half marathon. Because they were such a hit, Sandy decided to keep selling the bands, and keep giving back to those in need! Each month, a portion of the sales of BIC Bands is donated to a different charity.

We raise funds because we can…for those who can’t so that one day they will.”

One PBF reader will win a $25 gift certificate to use on the BICBands website so they can pick out the BIC Bands they love the most!

    I’m on the constant lookout for headbands that will stay in place while I workout! With thick hair that is really shiny and slippery, the headbands that I usually get tend to slide back, especially when I run. I’m currently training for my first half marathon, so I would LOVE to have Sporty 13.1 headband here: http://www.bicbands.com/product/131-half-marathon

    Ohh yess! I am wearing a Bic Band right now! I purchased SkinnyRunner’s Bic Band sell she had last month to raise money for everyone who was impacted from hurricane Sandy. I love LOVE Bic Bands. They are definitely the best.

    I would choose the blue sparkly one or any of the other sparkly bands. I currently own the fuschia sparkly band and its my favorite.

    Rainbow Tied Together (thick) – I really like the knot design. Also, I am the WORST at color coordination – I have no eye for that kind of thing whatsoever. I love the idea of the rainbow colors ensuring that I always match without having to think about it 🙂

    I am so in love with the gunmetal glitter. All of the glitter BIC Bands are fabulous, but the gunmetal minnie one would be the next one on my list. I’d also get a second glittery one… my other faves include the white, black, and green. Ahhh so many beautiful bands and SUCH a great purpose behind them, love the charitable donations that go along with each purchase!
