According to a new report from the Minnesota Planetarium Society, “The moon’s gravitational pull on the earth has created a one-month bump in the star’s alignment and that could mean a change in your astrological sign.”
Everyone I’ve talked to has experienced a change in their sign!
Here are the new signs:
- Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16
- Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11
- Pisces: March 11-April 18
- Aries: April 18-May 13
- Taurus: May 13-June 21
- Gemini: June 21-July 20
- Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10
- Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16
- Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30
- Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23
- Scorpio: Nov. 23-Dec. 17
- Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20
I went from being a Taurus to an Aries. From being stubborn to being hard-headed. Aren’t I a peach? 😉
I’m not particularly into astrology, though I do see characteristics from people’s signs in their personalities sometimes. I always thought my mom and sister definitely possessed the traits of a Cancer while my dad is a true Gemini… but now it’s all switched!
Sadie was all bent out of shape after her identity was changed. She’s now a Capricorn and isn’t quite sure what to make of it, so I gave her a hard-headed hug and told her everything would be alright.
The change of my astrological sign didn’t change my typical morning routine. I still got up nice and early to hit the gym.
Today I completed 20 minutes on the elliptical, followed by a total body weights workout.
Breakfast
After getting nice and sweaty, Ryan and I took Sadie on a walk before heading home for a hot breakfast.
Sadly I am all out of my cinnamon raisin bagel thins, so I made due with a whole wheat bagelwich instead.
The bagelwich included a fried egg white and a thick layer of my favorite cream cheese. A cup o’ strawberry banana Chobani was enjoyed on the side.
It was not quite as good as my bagelwich from yesterday, but it was still satisfying and delicious.
Off to work I go to get things done and grapple with my new personality.
Question of the Morning
What was your old sign? Do you think it suited you?
EDITED TO ADD: Apparently the change in signs is debatable. Click here for more info. (Thanks to Melissa, Ashley and Babycakes for this link!)
Grace @ Your Daily Grace says
It think it’s pretty amusing that everyone is freaking out about this ‘huge change’ on Facebook. I’m still a Virgo=) but never really take my horoscope into account anyway. By the way I love Thomas’ Wheat bagel thins with reduced fat Chive and Onion cream cheese but you really have me wanting to try the cinnamon raisin ones too!
MJ says
I’ve always been a Sagittarius and according to the “new” list I’m a Scorpio. LOL thank-goodness it’s not true because I am a true Sagittarius. I don’t follow astrology but I do find that I am a true Sag.
Amanda (Eating Up) says
Haha I don’t believe in signs at all, but my roommate does. She was incredibly defensive about the whole thing.
Arlene @ Adventures in Weight Loss says
Hmm … if I believed that, I’d go from being a Libra to a Virgo. But I don’t buy it. I’m definitely more Libra.
Sarah K. @ The Pajama Chef says
you inspired me with your sweet/savory breakfast…today i had cheddar cheese melted on a piece of cinnamon raisin bread topped w/ a fried egg with half a grapefruit too. SO good!! my husband loved it too 🙂
Sara says
That’s is so silly! How can our astrological signs change?
I think there should be a grandfather clause that keeps us all in the same sign and only affects the new babies born from now on. I’m a Taurus though…so, I’ve always been pretty stubborn. 🙂
Maryann says
Oh thank goodness the change isn’t occurring, I can’t imagine not being a virgo 🙂 (little bit of sarcasm). I know some people were really worry about this though!
Britannie says
i went from gemini to taurus ! i was so upset when i read about the sign change, it felt like everything was a lie ! hahaha 🙂
Jessica says
Ha after reading this I was about to post that link at the end as well! I don’t think we changed…I am not a huge follower of Zodiac, but I’ll stick to being a Sagittarius rather than adjust to being a scorpio….
Amber K says
I also “switched” from Taurus to Aries. But I never believed the change anyway, even before I found out it’s not true.
I am WAY too much of a Taurus for anyone to change my mind! lol
Amy says
I was originally an Aquarius but now I’m a Capricorn? When I was 18 I was going to get an Aquarius tattoo….I’m glad I changed my mind and got something else instead…
Alexis says
the Catholic church (and my mother) tells me to ignore horoscopes. thumbs up for the someecards pic, though. love them.
Charlie says
I was a virgo and I am still a virgo with the new signs :P.
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
interesting…guess i’m a virgo now!
Jessica says
Where do you get your bagle thins? Those always look so yum! I can never get through an entire bagle.
peanutbutterfingers says
publix! (just in case you don’t live in the southeast, it’s a big chain grocery store in the southeast).
peanutbutterfingers says
period INSIDE parenthesis… sorry!
Kelly says
I went from being a Taurus to an Aries too. But, I thought the whole premise behind zodiac signs is determined by what zodiac sign you’re born under. If the zodiac changes, I was still born under Taurus. Now babies who are born on April 28 like me will be Aries, but that doesn’t change my particular zodiac. I’m no expert, just thinking…
Alex says
You forgot Ophiuchus, the new one!

Gemini – Jun 21 to Jul 20
Cancer – Jul 20 to Aug 10

Clare @ Fitting It All In says
This sign thing is throwing me off. I used to think I was a Libra through and through, and now they are telling me I’m a Virgo?
My mind is blown.
Amy says
I was reading that it didn’t really change our signs but I didn’t pay too much attention to the whole article. I’m still a Pisces either way and am glad. It suits me! 🙂
Mary @ Bites and Bliss says
I hate to go against what you’re saying because I know how annoying it is..but I just wanted to clear something up about the signs.
The new sign is a “sidereal” which is fixed by the constellations. The signs were follow are tropical and go by the seasons..so the new sign doesn’t affect the original. The signs we follow haven’t changed.
Which is good, cause Tauruses rock. 😉
Cassie @ A Very Busy Mind says
Sames for me! Taurus to Aries. Aren’t stubborn and hard-headed synonyms? 😉
Macrae says
Even though am not at all into zodiac signs, this is too funny that they are now all changed! I’m the same as you actually…from Taurus to Aries. Stubborn to hard headed, not too much of a change so must be what we really are 😉
Laura says
Julie…I’m a little late catching up on your latest posts and that astrological sign thing really surprised me!! I have never really ‘gone by’ the signs but now that there’s a possibility that I’m not a scorpio anymore I feel like my whole identity is outta whack! Ha…..
anyway, I wanted to comment and ask where you got that cardigan you’re wearing in the picture with Sadie…love the zipper and the ruffle! Too cute!
Have a great weekend,
Laura in Mississippi
Julie @ Peanut Butter Fingers says
thanks, laura! it’s from j.crew.
Dana says
This has been talked about for a long time! I heard about it years ago. Surely, no one is changing signs right now. I will never be anything besides a Capricorn!
