I’ve always been more of a get-out-and-go exerciser. I love the group exercise environment and enjoy both taking and teaching fitness classes, but after Chase was born, I quickly realized that making it out of the house to work out five or six days a week might be a little unrealistic. Class times don’t always coordinate well with Chase’s nap schedule (or lack of a nap schedule…) and I’m not about to wake a sleeping baby to drag him off to the gym. And if Chase ever has a runny nose or a cough, I try to be cognizant of the other little ones at my gym’s childcare and keep him (and his potential germs) at home.
So workouts seem to happen at home more and more these days! I often look to my Fitness Pinterest Board and the At Home Workouts I’ve shared on the blog in the past for inspiration. I have a small handful of workout DVDs to choose from as well, but after I saw one of my blogging buddies, Janae, blog about Grokker, I signed up for a free two-week trial.
Grokker is a community and resource for busy people who want to make time for wellness. The site offers more than 1,500 full-length, expert led fitness and wellness-related videos, ranging from barre, cardio and strength training videos to meditation, sports conditioning, flexibility and healthy cooking videos. Videos range in length from 10 minutes to more than an hour which is perfect for someone like me who sometimes has only 20 minutes to work out but also occasionally wants to get in a quality 60-minute sweat session.
During my free two-week trial, Grokker caught wind of my love for one of their yoga flow videos that focused on my hips when I briefly mentioned it on the blog a couple of weeks ago. They reached out to offer to extend my membership to 90 days and give you guys a chance to try out the site, too! I was psyched since my two weeks was quickly ending and I was already beginning to count on Grokker videos as a go-to resource for me during my at home workouts.
So far, I’ve really enjoyed most of the videos I’ve tried, but since there are tons to choose from, if one isn’t really my speed/style, I can quickly browse around to find one that it a better fit. I REALLY like the 20-minute HIIT videos by Kelly Lee and find myself turning to them again and again.
Here’s an example of one of the Grokker HIIT arm workouts I found in the HIIT Club Arms Workout by Kelly Lee that I completed last week:
As a personal trainer, I really love the way the HIIT Club Arm Workout video offers modifications for beginners and also offers ways to make the workout harder for those who might be a little more advanced. (There were also two people physically doing the workout with Kelly Lee who were demonstrating these modifications the entire time.) You can also interact with the trainers in the videos by leaving them comments and participating in the Grokker community.
One thing I didn’t think I’d really use all that much that completely surprised me is the Cooking section of Grokker. There are tons of healthy recipe videos on the site, but if you don’t have time to watch the video, you can find all the details from the recipes mentioned in the videos right below the video on the site.
(If you’re looking for a place to start, I’ve made two of Stephanie O’Dea’s slow cooker recipes and we loved them. Her sweet potato chili is awesome.)
You can sort through the cooking videos by a myriad of topics ranging from specific cuisines and interests to specialty diets and specific meals. (FYI for my fellow parents out there, Grokker has an entire section of their cooking videos dedicated to baby and toddler-friendly food.)
And now it’s time for a Grokker G-I-V-E-A-W-A-Y!

I would love to try the barre workouts!
The core strength video in the yoga section sounds like something I would definitely try at home when I don’t have time for a full trip to the gym (or when it feels too cold to leave the house 😉 )
Definitely the yoga videos! I need to do more yoga.
Ohhh they all sound good! I love recipe videos AND workout videos, so I think I would really love this website!

I love Pace & Go’s 7 minute total body HIIT training! I’d love to be able to use the rest of the collection and other HIIT workouts! 🙂
With an incredibly busy student schedule (med school is no joke!) I gravitate towards at home workouts as well! I’m recently into Kayla Itsines’s BBG program which I LOVE because it’s super quick and very effective! So Grokker sounds right up my alley for sure! 😀 I’d love to incorporate more yoga into my routine so the yoga flow videos would definitely appeal to me 🙂
Toning and barre workouts. I’ve done an absolute series and I loved it. Great in a home with a new baby! Awesome give a way 🙂
The barre and yoga classes look great since I love group classes for strength but have a harder time motivating to leave the house for yoga and barre.
I’d love to try the HIIT workouts and strength training!
Toning and HIIT videos are where it’s at! I love trying out new workouts!
I would love the HIIT workouts! Trying to incorporate more into my routine
I would love some great yoga videos. For more intense workouts I usually prefer the gym atmosphere, but yoga at my gym is pretty hit or miss and studios are so expensive. But I have been making an effort to do more yoga and this would be a great push. Thank you!
I love variety and this looks like the perfect website for me! Yoga, Barre and HIIT all look great to me!
the hiit workouts sound great!
I am most interested in the cardio and toning workouts!
Barre and yoga for athletes!
I’d love to try the HIIT workouts. Those are my absolute favorite classes to attend and with a baby on the way, I know my schedule will be more limited as well.
I’d love to use Grooker for HIIT videos — love a good sweaty workout at home!
Toning videos and recipes!
Im in grad school now and my university offers terrible group fitness options but I can’t afford to buy a fancy gym membership . I miss yoga!
I love the HIIT videos or the toning and sculpting…my favorite things to do!!
I would love to check out their yoga videos. I didn’t realize they had a cooking section. I’d have to look at that too 🙂
I would love to try the yoga videos!
I would love to try the HIIT and yoga! I’m more of a cardio girl so this would be a good change, and with 2 sick kiddos throughout this winter, my gym days aren’t as consistent either!!
I’d love to try the barre videos as well as some shorter HIIT ones!
I would love to try the barre videos, I have been taking a class at work and it it so much fun.
I would love to try some barre workouts and am always looking for new recipes! Would love to try Grokker!
I am in desperate need of some new HIIT workouts!
I would love to try the yoga videos and love that there are so many options – my current online subscription to barre3 is great but some days I just want to switch it up and do something more high intensity or totally different!
Flexibility and balance!!
I love doing barre workouts online. When I go to the gym I like some intensity but barre is great to fit in during the day at home.
I would love to try the abs section or HIIT section! Both look very interesting and to be able to do it from home- SCORE!
I’ve started to get more interested in Yoga and HIIT exercises so I’d love to check out those videos.
I would love to try the yoga videos! Also any cooking videos that can give me new recipes are always a win in my book!
This looks awesome! I would love to try the yoga challenge! I have been in a workout rut after having my baby and I just love yoga.
I’d love to try the yoga videos! As someone who runs a lot, I’ve heard how beneficial yoga can be for the body’s recovery, but for some reason it has always intimidated me!
I only ever do pilates and yoga at home so those would be great!
As a new mom I am struggling to find a decent amount of time to workout. I would love to try grokker for their hiit, yoga, and barre videos so I can at least squeeze in 10 minutes during my daughters inconsistent naps.
I would love to try some of the yoga videos. Due to my work schedule, it’s hard to get to my local studio during the week!
I would love to try the UFC workouts, Barre workouts & cooking videos!
I have always been good about working out at home – but I really need inspiration in the kitchen, so the cooking videos would be incredible for me. We just tried blue apron for the first time and really enjoyed it, so we want to stay in the zone!
I had never heard of Grokker so thanks or the site recommendation! 🙂 I love HIIT routines and prefer the gym/class environment too, so I mostly look for yoga/stretching videos when I workout at home. Looks like the gentle yoga on this site would be helpful! 🙂
I would use the barre videos probably the most. I do barre at home, but would like more variety!
