When I was first cleared to exercise after Chase was born, I quickly realized a few of my old favorite ways to work out weren’t going to work for a while for me because of the lack of childcare offered at some of my favorite fitness studios.
Not only could I not resume teaching my regular classes at the gym (they do not offer childcare until a child can sit up), but I also had to temporarily forgo Pure Barre workouts as well. I was quite bummed about this, but sometimes when one door closes another one opens. In this case, the door lead me to my local Burn Boot Camp.
(The above banner is hanging on the wall at my local BBC. LOVE it.)
I heard wonderful things about Burn Boot Camp (BBC) from other moms in my area. The workouts sounded seriously challenging but, most importantly for me, the childcare offered at my local boot camp received rave reviews.
I visited BBC two times by myself before I felt comfortable enough to bring Chase along. I wanted to meet the woman who worked there and speak with her about bringing my baby boy there soon. She instantly made me feel at ease and the first time I arrived with Chase, Miss Lindsey held him swaddled in her arms the entire time.
As weeks went by and I fell more and more in love with my BBC workouts, I also fell more in love with Miss Lindsey and her incredible passion for caring for children. Not only does she come up with the cutest craft projects for the children, but she plays with Chase when he’s excitable, snuggles him when he’s sleepy and gives me peace of mind during the 45 minutes of the day when I’m not in full-on mommy mode.
During the holiday season, I knew I wanted to give Lindsey a holiday gift bag to say a big thank you to her for taking such great care of Chase and the other BBC kids. She truly goes above and beyond and the other mothers and I know how lucky we are to have her watching our children during our workouts.
I picked up a bunch of goodies at CVS and tried to stick with a fitness/health/holiday theme!
I filled the gift bag with hair ties, cucumber hand lotion, facial cleansing towelettes (perfect to use to freshen up post-workout!) and nail polish for a little something fun. Side note: I am in love with Essie’s Bahama Mama color. So pretty!
I also had to add some festive holiday items to the gift bag and hoped Lindsey’s adorable daughter might like the fuzzy socks I included.
And because gift bags should always include some kind of delicious treat, I added two of my favorite snacks.
I know Lindsey is fairly health-conscious so I wanted to include snacks that were tasty and a little sweet but still mostly healthy and free from artificial preservatives and flavors. We LOVE the Gold Emblem Abound Berries & Nut Clusters in our house and I think the Fuji Apple & Raspberry Clusters are a perfect healthy option to grab when your sweet tooth hits.
We also included two cards (our family Christmas card from Chase and a thank you card from me) and a VISA gift card in the gift bag. I really hope Lindsey knows just how much she means to our family. A thank you gift bag doesn’t even begin to do her justice, but hopefully it added a little bit of holiday cheer to her day last week!

I love this! I would split up the basket to share with my sisters.
I would make a gift basket for the two moms who get my kids home safely from school every day.
I would give it to my aunt who watches my daughter everyday.
My mom! She is always taking care of everyone and it would be nice to give a little something to “just her!” 🙂
I would love one for my coworker! She keeps me sane 🙂
Our first baby, a little boy, is due in February. My mom is going to keep him when I go back to work in March until school is out. I’d love to be able to get her a thank you basket!
My husband! He works hard to provide for our family. I am a SAHM and he is so supportive (it was a hard transition). He never complains about his horrible hours, his tough/stressful job or bad days of work. He comes home with a smile and helps out with the kids as much as he can. Honestly, I probably don’t give him the praise or thanks he deserves on many days. He always goes out of his way to let me know how special and thankful he is for me and all I do for our family.
I have so many people who I need to thank but I believe the one that stands out the most is my aunt. She’s recently been helping to take care of my mother and I have no idea what I would do without her assistance.
I think I would assemble a gift basket for my mom or sister. It is always nice to show family a little extra love.
I would do a thoughtful basket for my daughters preschool teacher. They go above and beyond for her daily, I truly couldn’t thank them enough 🙂
my mom 🙂 she just threw me the most amazing baby shower and i would love to give her a thank you basket for all that she did!
My mother in law!
And the award goes to….our 2yo daughter’s teacher, Ms Jenilee. We are so lucky to have her again in this classroom. She was my daughter’s infant teacher before she left on maternity leave. She knows how to reign in and keep my sassy 2yo in line. She’s become such a good friend, an incredible teacher and mother. Hands down our favorite and we couldn’t imagine a day w/o her.
Thank you for hosting this thoughtful giveaway! My apartment mate most definitely deserves a gift basket showing her that I appreciate all that she does year round to show me and our other apartment mates she cares. She is the kid of selfless person who always asks how things are going in a way that shows she truly cares to hear… and she does way more than her fair share of the dishes 🙂
I would love to assemble a thank you bag for my mom. She is my best friend and she takes care of my two boys when I work part time. She makes me feel so comfortable leaving the boys in her experienced and loving arms.
I would make a gift bag for my neighbor. She’ll always keep an eye out on my home when I’m away travelling and will even collect my mail. I would love to surprise her with some goodies for Christmas!
My dad! He’s the best!
my niece, who brightens every day with her great spirit and smile
Definitely my grandma who is always so welcoming, generous, and loving towards me!
The nursery worker at my church. She is amazing and I always feel comfortable leaving my kids in her care for all the functions we have at our church. 🙂
My mom! She deserves and awesome gift basket and much. much more <3
My amazing babysitter. She watches my baby while I’m at work, and my bigger kids when they get home from school until I get home. I know she loves them like her own, which gives me such peace of mind!
I have a belated Secret Santa on Monday and would love to use this gift card to get my friend a whole bunch of wellness-related items from CVS!
I would send it the gift basket to my sister since she won’t be spending Christmas with us this year.
My mom deserves a gift basket from me every day of the week. She helps me daily to become my best, and I don’t know what I would do without her.
I would use it to thank the sweet lady who is hosting an unexpected baby shower for me next month! We are new to the area and didn’t know very many people so I was so so touched when she offered to throw one for us.
I would spoil my mother in law who is always yay helping everyone else.
My mom!
I would love to gift a thank you bag to my sister, who is a teacher!
I would love to gift it to my daughter’s teachers. They are so kind and wonderful, and I never have to worry about my daughter while she is in their care. It is a true blessing to be a working mother and find day care that feels like a second home for your child.
My mom definitely deserves a thank you gift basket! Even though I’m in college now, she still does so much for me!
I would make one for the person who watches my two dogs when I am out of town. My dogs are like family to me and I know she takes really good care of them.
I would love to give a gift basked to my friend. She has been there for me this entire year and has supported me through some pretty difficult times. I want her to know how thankful I am for her <3
I’d give the basket to my mom. She’s given me so much over the years and now is my time to give back! 🙂
I would definitely give this to my mom! She deserves to be spoiled.
My best friend Michelle deserves a thank you gift basket/bag. She is a new mom and just got back to working again and she still always thinks about others. I would love to give her a thank you for always being there for me, even when she is so busy, she always makes the time 🙂
I would give my neighbor the basket. She has done so many wonderful and thoughtful things for us!
What a sweet gesture! I bet she’ll love it. I would make a basket for my mom, because she picks my daughter up from preschool every day and helps me soooo much! I don’t know what I would do without her!
for my friend peggy who’s going through a hard time right now
I would put together a thank you basket for the custodian at our school. She is the hardest worker and I don’t always think people give her the credit she deserves!
my husband! He works so hard in school full time and he’s the best daddy around!!
I would make a gift basket for my dog walker! I got a new job this year and unfortunately am not home very much. She has taken all my worries away! When I’m not home, I know she plays with him for hours and keeps him company. I know it sounds silly, but I don’t have children and my dog is like my baby. I appreciate her so much!!
I am a few weeks away from the birth of our first baby. My sister, Maddie, has been the biggest help for both me and my husband. She planned the whole baby shower, has constantly asked when I need her to help with something, and has been that person that I complain to when pregnancy gets rough 🙂 And I know she will be an amazing aunt for our son. I would love to buy her a thank-you gift bag with the gift card!!!
I would definitely want to assemble a thank you gift basket for my boyfriend, Connor. He is such a wonderful human being, and he is loving and caring every second of the day – he never expects any gifts, even at Christmas or on his birthday! So assembling an extra basket of goodies for him would be so amazing, I want to remind him of how much I appreciate him 🙂
My boyfriend deserves a huge thank you. I’ve been super stressed lately and he’s been so supportive and a constant source of positivity
Great idea! My husband is in surgery today…rotator cuff repair. I’d love to assemble him more of a get well basket!!
My mom!
Would do for our Sunday school teachers
I would love to get a basket for my husband. He is definitely deserving of a nice thank-you gift for putting up with me lately 🙂
