Jewlie Fagon

June 21, 2011 by Julie 130 Comments

Remember how my week last week was dominated by peanut butter?

Well, now you may see the fruits of my labor…

shape granola

You may click here to see the peanut butter recipe slideshow I created for Shape magazine in its entirety.

This may have been the most fun freelance project I’ve ever completed. Writing + Peanut Butter + Amazing Fitness Magazine. It’s going to be a hard one to top. I hope you guys enjoy the recipes!

Lunch

Today’s lunch was enjoyed outside of the home on a hot date with… myself.

starbucks 017

I felt the urge to get out of the house to work today and headed to Starbucks to enjoy their free internet and a mocha light Frappuccino late this morning.

starbucks 013

(Side note: I desperately need to clean my laptop screen. Anyone know of any good at-home cleaning techniques?)

Oh, and guess what? According to Starbucks and Shape, I’m a whole new person today. I’m Julie Fagan Jewlie Fagon.

Hey, Shape magazine can call me whatever they want. Smile

I worked through my normal lunchtime at Starbucks and was enjoying my new work environment so much that I decided to buy a sandwich and continue plugging away.

starbucks 011

I died a little inside when I paid $5.25 for that bad boy. It was pretty good, though I prefer my homemade egg salad.

I think I like all of my homemade egg and tuna salads more than the salads offered at restaurants because I make mine with Miracle Whip and not regular mayonnaise. I know Miracle Whip divides people and evokes a kind of hatred only matched by peoples’ hatred of cottage cheese, but I like it and will stand by the ol’ Whip. Regular mayonnaise gives me the heebie jeebies… kinda like catfish.

Time to get back to work. I think I may be ordering a hot tea because Starbucks is feeling a little chilly at the moment. Or I could walk outside because it’s hotter than a mofo in Orlando.

P.S. The Fashion page was updated this afternoon!

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

How in the world does someone misspell Julie? That just boggles my mind.

Those pb recipes look delicious! I can’t wait to try some, if not all of them!

I clean my computer screen with an alcohol pad that they would use on you before you get a shot. You can get a pack of like 500 for about two dollars at the drugstore! It wont scratch-trust me I have been doing it forever. I also use them to clean my tv screen and my glasses-plus you can use it on the keyboard to disinfect it.

Once, on a ticket, someone took my name (Jordan) and wrote is like this:

    Jor Clan

Two names. Neither one mine. A new record. Jewlie reminds me a lot of the word JUBILEE though, so I like it.

My name’s Yolie so you can only imagine the difficulties people have both saying and spelling that one, lol! 😛 No biggie! 🙂
I waaaay prefer home-made sandwiches over store-bought ones – I find my own so much more satisfying and healthy.
Working from home a lot is standard for me, so I totally hear you on the need to mix up your location and break out the house every now and then…hope you’ve had a super productive and pleasurable day!

I will say that egg salad cost you 490 calories and 22 grams of fat! I won’t copy/paste the nutrition ingredients, but I am telling you the best option that I have found is the Chicken on Flatbread w/ Hummus Snack Plate! 250 cals, 9 grams of fat, and 17 grams of protein! So good!!!!

I am not, nor have a every been a man. Daniel is a boys name, Danielle is a girls name. Really it’s not that hard. It took several months of me correcting the people at Starbucks before I didn’t need to say anything anymore. What pisses me off is there is a lady I have worked with for 10+ years and she still spells my name Daniel. Believe me if I could I would just return her inter-office mail with a note that says ‘No Daniel here, please return to sender’.

I always use rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth – that’s how I clean all of the monitors before I setup the computers at work. Just make sure that the screen is off for a while other wise the heat from the screen will make the alcohol dry too quickly and leave streaks.

My full name is Brieana and i’ve spent my entire life correcting peoples spelling of it. Don’t get me wrong, I love my name and the spelling, but even my dad spelt it wrong on a christmas card one time! And he’s the one that picked the spelling of it lol.

To clean my lap top screen, I use the same spray we bought to clean our flat screen tv. But windex works just as well, only I would use a microfiber cloth instead of paper towel…leaves less lint and definitely wont scratch (and better for the environment!)

I want to get a drink at Starbucks just for the funny name! Sadly, I’m not a coffee drinker.

There is a news anchor here in NYC who collects these “alter egos” on his blog:

My favorites: Daisy —> “Jay Z” and Kris —-> “Chris with a K” (yes, they wrote that!!).

OK. Growing up in Alaska, my mom served us liver a lot. Ew. But, the only way I could stomach it was to spread miracle whip over the top! I don’t eat either one anymore! 🙂

BTW…I thought this recipe had your name all over it! Use PB for the nut butter! 😉
