This morning started off like any other Monday morning… at the gym!
Twenty minutes of cardio on the elliptical followed by my beloved BodyPump class. Only one more week of the ‘Pump and then it will be out of my life foreverrr.
Okay, maybe I’m being a bit dramatic. The gym we’ll likely join in Ocala doesn’t have the ‘Pump, but I am seriously considering looking into becoming certified to teach it myself if the gym would be open to offering the class. We’ll see!
Walk
After my workout, it was Sadie walkin’ time!
Ryan joined us for our usual walk around the lake because he has the whole week off work.
Woo!
Ryan planned to have a week off between jobs and we’re planning to use this week to finalize our housing situation in Ocala (or set up temporary housing), pack and move. Eek! It’s a big week in the Fagan household.
Of course I will be doing my usual work thang, as I have a couple of freelance pieces due this week and some blog to-dos as well. I wrote (and baked!) for a few hours yesterday so I would feel better about taking a few hours off in the middle of the day today.
Ryan and I have an appointment with a realtor in Ocala at 10:30 a.m. to see four potential houses to rent. We’re very hopeful one of them will work out, but if not, at least we’ll know it’s time to seriously look into temporary housing.
Needless to say, our morning walk was dominated by discussions of our housing hopes and plans.
Breakfast
Once we arrived home, I took a quick shower before it was time for breakfast.
On the menu for today was a coffeefied green monster… aka a mocha protein smoothie… aka DELICIOUS.
A lil’ caffeine plus a lil’ chocolate, served in my favorite Anthropologie mug = Win!
And now I’m feelin’ a little jittery! It’s amazing how much a little bit of caffeine affects me. It makes me chatty. I’m glad I’ll have a road trip buddy to talk to as we head to Ocala in a bit!
Catcha later, alligators!

Brandi @ The Vitamin Bee says
Good luck! I hope one of the houses works out for you.

Before I even finished reading that first paragraph I thought, you should totally look into teaching it yourself. Go for it!
Brittany (A Healthy Slice of Life) says
Take pictures of the four options so we can help you choose!
…what do you mean you don’t want us to decide where you will live the next year of your life? 😉
peanutbutterfingers says
haha i will! i’d love your opinions! 😀
Emma @ Microcosm of Life says
What a great idea– you should totally be a BodyPump instructor! Even if the gym ended up saying no, you would know all the routines and could have a BP class whenever you wanted 🙂
That smoothie is breakfast and coffee in one. Efficient, me likey!
Lisa @ Mrs. Fish says
Fingers crossed you find something today!
Lisa @ Sunny Seed Stories says
Getting certified is a great idea! 🙂
Good luck today! I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!!
Claire says
Ah! Caffeine jitters! I sort of love/hate those…sometimes they make me SUPER chatty and energetic, too which is fine and other times it makes me go, go, go and then crash!
Roz @ My ViSalus Journey says
I feel the same about body pump…I totally want to teach it!!! I figure I’m there 3x a week in the class, might as well teach it and potentially be paid/get a free gym membership out of it lol! I’m not in shape to teach it now but in a few months I will be. Already talked to the instructors and expressed my interest so they are helping me with my positioning and challenging me to up my weights etc.
Def talk to your instructor before you leave and speak with the group class coordinator! You’ll be paving the way for the Ocalaians to LOVE body pump hehe 🙂
Parita @ myinnershakti says
Good luck with everything this week! I’m positive it’s all going to work out.
I also just want to say that your dedication (to everything) is so inspiring. I love how you plan out your day and get . things . done!
LizAshlee says
That would be awesome to become certified…I hope that works out! Best wishes for the housing situation too!!
Mocha Smoothie…mmm:)
Have a wonderful day!
tom says
no offense you are going to hate Ocala. after college i lived there myself for a couple of years due to my job. it was horrible for young professionals. not much to do, very little nightlife. the most popular place to go is a chinese restaurant inside the holiday inn.
peanutbutterfingers says
we know it’s a small town, but we’re homebodies at heart and are really looking forward to being close to the national forrest and some amazing hiking trails. it’s a good move for us and ryan’s career goals at this time so we’re trying to be positive about it. i’m sorry you had a bad experience. fortunately different people like different things, so hopefully it will be a great fit for us!
Annie says
i think ocala will be the place to BE now that you and ryan and sadie-bug are moving there. do it to it girl!
Cait's Plate says
You never fail to leave me wanting a thick chocolatey smoothie in the morning. Made only better by being “coffeefied” 🙂
Good luck with the housing situation – I have a good feeling for you guys that it’s all going to work out!

I’m glad you’re thinking of teaching BodyPump!
Jessica @brighteyesandbushytales says
I don’t know a whole lot about Ocala, but I’ve got a feeling you guys are going to be really happy there! 🙂 It’s kind of exciting to go somewhere off the beaten path, you can really make it your own!
Sounds like there will be lots of space to spread out (and no mice!) and places to take Miss Sadie to play! Sending lots of good luck your way for a house today!
Jane says
just out of curiosity, do you read all of your comments?
p.s. good luck on the house search!
peanutbutterfingers says
Every single one!
Silvia @ skinny jeans food says
You also have the option to choose temporary housing and then wait for the house you liked in the first place, but was not available til September…. Good luck!

That is definitely in the back of my mind!

Wait a second, did you forget the spinach? Does it taste better without it?! And also, the only thing more fun than househunting is house decorating once you find your home! Good luck!
peanutbutterfingers says
No it had spinach! I think it just looks darker and not as green b/c I also used cocoa pwdr.
Julie H. of Spinach and Sprinkles says

You should definitely look in to getting certified to teach the class! Since you love it so much, you’ll be a great instructor! The best instructors are the ones who are really passionate about what they’re doing! 🙂
Hope says
Good luck to you and Ryan today! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you! 🙂 It’s a much easier process to go out with a realtor. They can usually offer some good advice and find places that normally you wouldn’t be able to find.
Erika @ The Teenage Taste says
I wish you and Ryan good luck with the house hunting! Hope everything works out for you two! 🙂
Lindsay@ In Sweetness and In Health says
Good luck in Ocala!!! I hope you guys are successful :). That smoothie sounds awesome..and I love those anthropologie mugs. I LOVE that you read all of your comments (I’m stalkerish and saw the one above that you replied to). I’m glad that everything I write to you doesn’t go unnoticed haha.
peanutbutterfingers says
Haha of course not!! Comments are the best part. 🙂
Amber K says
Are there seriously bloggers that don’t read all of their comments? That seems insane to me. Why blog if you don’t read the comments? People could be saying all kinds of things!
Katherina @ Zephyr Runs says
Good luck on the house hunt!!!
Nicole says
You may want to look into workout DVDs as an option – I use Netflix for at-home workouts. I really like Jari Love Get Ripped DVDs – users have commented that they are similar to Body Pump. All you need is a few sets of hand-weights.
Katie says
Good luck!! Hoping you’ll find something perfect. I think you should totally do the BP certification- it seems like it would be so fun and motivating to get paid to do BP, and I think you would be an amazing teacher.
Savannah (sweet and savvy) says
You should Definitely teach bodypump!!:) lobe that mug!
Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat says
Good luck in Ocala with the housing situation! And that’s great that Ryan’s got the week off. I think you’d make a great BP instructor! I’m not sure about in the US, but here it’s just 3 days of training – rather intense training, but doable – and a video submission. Let me know if you have any questions about it. Have a great day Julie! 🙂
peanutbutterfingers says
thanks a bunch, angela!
