Last night was full of Latin food and lots of laughs!
Ryan and I got together with our friends Brittney, Cara, Casey and Dustin for chips, salsa and a delicious Latin dinner at Latinos y Mas.
I went to bed with a very full belly!
Workout
Today started out with a Saturday morning workout at the gym. Ryan and I began with 20 minutes on the elliptical before hopping off to each do our own thing.
I opted for a slightly shortened version of my 1000 rep workout. I am seriously loving that workout! I omitted some of the upper body strength moves since I did lots of arm exercises at the gym yesterday, but left nice and sweaty anyway.
Breakfast
If you’re a long-time blog reader, you might remember Ryan’s love affair with McDonald’s hotcakes. He thinks their pancakes are the best thing goin’ and after the gym, he swung by McDonald’s to pick up breakfast for himself.
I opted for an iced coffee.
Then we had to make a pit stop at Tas-T-O’s doughnuts because I wanted to grab one of their unbelievably delicious apple fritters to bring to Orlando today for my friend Laurel for her birthday celebration.
If you think I have willpower of steel and can stop by Tas-T-O’s and not get an apple fritter for myself, you are mistaken.
The breakfast of champions.
Just to give you guys a little glimpse into the doughy, cinnamon-swirl deliciousness that makes a Tas-T-O’s apple fritter the best darn fritter in the world, I cut into it.
Drooling may commence now:
Let’s hope the apple fritter I bought for Laurel actually makes it to Orlando!
Off to walk Sadie with Ryan before hopping in the shower and driving back to my old stomping grounds.
Enjoy your Saturday!

Hi this is kind of random but I’m just curious. How heavy are the weights that you lift? I know strength training is essential for toning and sculpting the body and I’d just like to know if you have certain weights that you use all the time or you vary the weight depending on the exercise or day.
I love your blog and I read it all the time! Thank you so much!
Jenn says
That apple fritter looks amazing! They are one of my all time favorite bakery items that I (usually) can’t pass up.

I’m not a big fan of apple fritters, but I would struggle to pass up a caked donut. I’m really lucky that most of the time when I pass the nearest donut shop, I’m on my way to boot camp and can’t stop!
Mary says
omg…fritters are one of the GREATEST donuts EVER! I don’t know what it is about them but they are so amazing…I am definitely drooling..into my oatmeal 🙁

Haha! Love Mary’s comment above me! Holy crap I haven’t had a donut in years! My favorite has always been jelly, but I could lower my standards for this too! ;o)

I’ve never tried an apple fritter!! And…this may sound like a really DUH thought–but I still wonder if apple fritters have apples…haha. It seems like your 1000 workout is really a success! 😀
Amber says
That fritter looks epic!
Jacki says
Apple fritters were always my fav and I haven’t had one in years. I was excited to see them at Walmart when we stopped on the way to my sisters. Alas, it was a terrible let down. (Serious, I should know I wouldn’t get a great fritter without going to a donut shop) No apples, just fried dough ;(
Candice says
That is so funny that ryan loves mickey Ds pancakes.. Brent (my husband) does to! Men… haha! That apple fritter looks AMAZING!
Lisa says
That fritter looks awesome. Surprisingly the only way I like cooked apples is in a fritter or when its in applesauce. I hate chunks of apples cooked otherwise. I need to try out that 1000 rep workout, since those are totally my favourite kinds of workouts! I must admit I’m a tad embarrassed to say I have no clue what types of foods are Latin. Yikes. I guess I’ve never had it before
Jess @ Blonde Ponytail says
Enjoy your walk with Sadie–she is a machine! Cooper poops out fast these hot days! Must try a McCafe–lil cheaper than my beloved starbucks!

I’ve never had an apple fritter before (I usually like to keep my sweets and my fruits as far away from each other as possible haha) but that looks AMAZING. I might have to try one sometime!
Bek @ Crave says
I use to love Mc Donalds pancakes also, especially in my unhealthier eating days. I had a special way I ate them and in a special order- the whipped butter that came with them was also amazing!
