Good morning! How are you guys doing today? I hope your week is off to a good start.
Things are going well in the Fagan household. Last night we celebrated Ryan’s 30th birthday since we were out of town on his actual birthday this weekend. (I decorated our hotel room on Saturday but saved presents for last night.)
It was a nice low-key birthday celebration at home since neither of us were in the mood to go out after a weekend of traveling. We have plans for a hot date night in the future since I really want to do something extra special for Ryan’s 30th!
I think we may go out for a nice dinner in Orlando when we head there next month to see The Book of Mormon. Have any of you guys seen that musical? I bought tickets for us to go the day they went on sale and I can’t wait! I’ve heard such great things!
Legs Like Jello Leg Workout
Today’s workout began with a 20 minute stair master interval workout followed by a leg workout that left my legs feeling like Jello!
It was a good one!
Breakfast
Once I arrived home from the gym, my stomach was growling and I quickly threw together scrambled eggs with ham and peppers for breakfast.
Served with a banana on the side!
Now it’s off to work for this girl. Hope you have a great Tuesday!
Happy 30th to Ryan! I’m off to the gym to get my own lifting workout in, now. Love high step ups 🙂
Book of Mormon is amazing!!! Wonderful choice in securing those tickets. I have never laugh-screamed so hard in my life.
Book of Mormon – HILARIOUS! The Baptist in me cringed a couple of times, but overall, absolutely freaking hilarious. Especially the 2nd half. Enjoy it! And Happy 30th Ryan! I turned 30 last week…kinda sad to see your 20’s behind you, but on to bigger and better things!
I can’t wait!!! I’ve been dying to see it for ages. I’m glad it’s coming to Orlando!
Looks like an awesome workout!!! And happy birthday Ryan!!! What a fun way to celebrate at a wedding. He will never forget when they got married 🙂
I’m off to the gym now for a bodypump class!!
jealousssss. have fun! i <3 bodypump!
Ahhh happy birthday Ryan!! That would be a blast celebrating at a wedding. 🙂 Looks like a killer workout!!
Can’t wait to try the workout!!!
Happy 30th to Ryan. My hubs and I are going to see Book of Mormon in New Orleans in a little less than 3 weeks (a belated b-day celebration for him, too). I can’t wait! We’ve listened to the cast recording over & over, and it’s hilarious. Definitely not for the easily offended, though!
Book of Mormon is SO funny!! It helps if you have a basic understanding of Mormon beliefs and some of the history of the church, but it is laugh out loud funny. Actually, I still chuckle when I think about some parts of it and I saw it over 3 months ago!
Wooooo!!! That looks like a ridiculous leg workout!! Love it!! I’m going to try that this week. (And probably hate myself two days later) ha ha!
Oh my gosh — The Book of Mormon is HILARIOUS! Wrong in so many ways, but so funny. Happy birthday to Ryan!
I’ve heard AMAZING things about Book of Mormon (of course!) trying to get reasonable tickets when it come to Toronto.
Happy belated 30th to Ryan!
The workout looks like a great one.
And I’ve heard SUCH great things about The Book Of Mormon! I’m hoping to see it sometime!
The Book of Mormon is hilarious and brilliant! I think you guys will love it! It sounds like Ryan is getting a couple of different mini-celebrations; I love those kinds of birthdays. It feels like it lasts a little longer! 🙂
I’ve been trying to convince my boyfriend to go see a musical with me for years but it’s been a hard struggle. I think book of Mormon will be my best shot. Let us know how it is!
Looks like a great workout!! And your breakfast looks delish! All that’ missing with that banana is some peanut butter!
Awesome leg workout. I’m long overdue for a good one, so looking forward to trying this one out. 🙂
Wow what a great leg workout! Look forward to trying it out when I get back home! 🙂
Nice workout! I’ve been skimping on my strength training lately, so I may have to try this one!
looks like an awesome workout and that breakfast –YUM!
Happy birthday to Ryan, welcome to the 30s club 🙂
I love working out my legs, so this is a perfect workout for me!
Your breakfasts ALWAYS look so delicious. They’re always full of color and I think it’s just a great way to start the day – As corny as it sounds sometimes a pop of colorful food totally changes my mood.
You just have to get past the blasphemy like bits. I loved the opening scene.
Happy birthday to Ryan! I haven’t seen Book of Mormon but have heard the movie is just something else. I’d love to hear movie reviews!
I enjoyed it! I’m with the girl above who cringed, but overall really enjoyed it. It’s super upbeat and not overly long. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t liked it…
Officially putting it on my weekend to-do list! =)
Nice work out! My work out yesterday afternoon had a million lunges and squats in it and my legs today feel like jello also. Frankly everything feels like jello… normally I don’t get sore until about 24 or 48 hours later but apparently 2 runs and a circuit will make soreness come ASAP.
Great workout ideas!!
Julie you are going to LOVE Book of Mormon. I will say it is EXTREMELY offensive/irreverent, but if you know that going in you can just laugh.
What a great looking workout! And happy birthday to Ryan!
The Book of Mormon is hilarious! So offensive but as long as your not easily offended, you’ll definitely get a good laugh. I cried laughing so hard. I’m seeing it again in November with friends who haven’t seen it and I can’t wait! Enjoy and happy birthday to Ryan!
I’ve heard really great things about that musical as well. They say it gets pretty crazy!
Great workout idea! You always find a way to spice up my workouts when I feel myself entering a rut. Happy 30th to Ryan!
We went to the Book of Mormon in Chicago. So funny!!! As a strong Christian there were times when I was a little uncomfortable, but overall very funny.
I saw Book of Mornon on Broadway last year and it is the funniest show I’ve ever seen. It is, however highly offensive. If you can get past that, it’s full of spectacle and great music. My conservative parents loved it!
I forgot it was coming to Orlando. I hope they have student rush…but judging by its popularity, that’s doubtful! Enjoy 🙂
I love a good lower body workout! This looks like a great one!
Happy Birthday, Ryan! I’ve heard Book of Mormon was really good! So funny. Have a good time 🙂
Happy Big 3-0 Ryan! I think I might just have to give your leg workout a try at the gym today! Thanks for the great workout!
I saw this leg workout posted by you on Facebook and was super-excited about it. Always on the hunt for good leg workouts 🙂
Happy Birthday again to Ryan!
Great workout! I love workouts that leave your appendages feeling like jello!! No really, I do! lol I have one that I always do (it’s an at-home workout from one of the YouTube trainers that I follow) and it’s less than 10 minutes and I can’t walk up the stairs the next day! Success! 🙂

My legs are also feelin’ quite jello-y after today’s workout!
I did a pilates-based butt workout last night, walking up stairs is a bit painful today hehehe
I never use the leg press, but I probably should! Legs are a love-hate thing for me. It’s so much harder to recover from that upper body workouts!
Awesome workout! I usually don’t use machines when I work out my legs, but I should definitely start. Hope you all had a great weekend celebrating Ryan’s birthday!
I love your dishes so much!!! I’ve always wanted to see that play! My fiancé doesn’t like them…boooo.
Looks like a great leg workout!
I just saw Book of Mormon last weekend in Chicago! Offensive, inappropriate, and HILARIOUS.
I really want to see the Book of Mormon!! I’m so jealous! I’ve heard it is ah-mazing. I’m sure you guys will enjoy 🙂
love a good leg workout- they always make me feel so accomplished!!
LOVE the book of mormon…but I’ll warn you its a bit raunchy and there’s super foul language, but the music is great and it’s a great laugh!
I had my own jello legs day! I am really feeling the goodness now.
I saw Book of Mormon in NYC, but it would be even funnier to see it in Orlando…. One of my favorite songs in the musical involves the city of Orlando 😉 You’ll know it when you hear it! Have a blast 😀
