Oh lululemon, I don’t know how you continue to make the cutest workout clothes, but season after season, you do!
(Inspire Tight II Mesh Tights + Think Fast Pullover + Fringe Fighter Headband)
Earlier this month, I received an email from lululemon with an invitation to try out some of their latest apparel and I’m pretty sure I took no less than 10 seconds to respond.
As a group exercise instructor, personal trainer and fitness lover, I wear workout clothing all day every day and jumped at the opportunity to add some functional, adorable and flattering workout apparel to my wardrobe… Especially since the majority of my previous workout tops and sports bras were quickly becoming too tight and a handful of my capris and leggings were beginning to dig into my sides more and more as each week of my pregnancy passed.
I felt like a kid on Christmas morning as I selected a few new tops, crops, pants and bras. With so many colors, patterns, cuts and styles out there, the choices were plentiful and I felt very grateful to have the opportunity to choose a few gorgeous pieces of apparel to replenish the smaller and more form-fitting workout clothes I am no longer able to comfortably wear.
Here’s a breakdown + review of some of my latest lululemon favorites!
Lululemon Springtime Favorites
When it comes to workout tops, I am a tank top lover through and through. I sweat a ton when I teach spinning classes and gravitate toward lightweight, breathable tops like the 105 F Singlet tank.
It’s long enough to cover most of my booty (and that’s saying something since I have a very long torso) and I’m hopeful it will be a great tank I can wear as my baby bump grows since it’s not restricting and very comfortable. I paired it with the strappy Energy Bra (love the extra coverage in the front!) and the In The Flow crop in heathered pigment blue.
The crops are a personal favorite because of the thick, forgiving waistband. They are a pregnant woman’s dream, as they don’t dig into my sides at all and simply hug my body without constricting my belly. Heaven!
To add to my desire to expand the number of flowy tanks in my fitness apparel wardrobe, I also picked up the mint green Yogi Racerback tank that I’ve been living in!
It’s soft and thin without feeling flimsy and currently on sale! (Since lululemon’s sale items never last long, I also think the the Modern Racerback and What The Sport tanks look quite similar.) It’s been a great tank for every workout I do on a regular basis – spinning, barre, strength training, fast-past circuits. The tank moves with my body and keeps me cool. Win, win.
I was also fortunate enough to pick up one of lululemon’s Vinyasa Scarves which I was especially excited about since I’ve heard a handful of women rave about it at my local Pure Barre studio.
The scarf can be worn 10 different ways and while I typically wear it looped around my neck twice, I’ve pulled it over my head to shield my hair from the rain and love unbuttoning it at home to wear as a comfy shrug as well. It’s great for chilly outdoor activities during the fall, winter and spring but I also really like simply throwing it on top of some of my more casual outfits to run around town!
In the above photo I paired the scarf with the silver Rest Less Pullover top (also currently on sale). I selected this pullover after reading tons of positive reviews online that highlighted its flattering fit and thick, durable material. During the winter, I was in the market for a top that would be a great outdoor running or hiking top – one that’s warmer than a basic long-sleeve tee but not as hot as a jacket – and this top seemed like the perfect choice!
I’m also wearing a pair of my beloved Wunder Under pants. They are so smoothing over the booty and way more flattering than your average pair of black leggings. In the past I’ve purchased the reversible Wunder Unders to get more bang for my buck and this time around I did the same and selected pair of reversible Wunder Unders with a feminine floral band on one side and a plain black band on the other.
Love!
The final look I put together centered around a pair of mesh tights that immediately caught my eye.
The Inspire Tight II is made with Luxtreme® technical sweat-wicking fabric and offers support without causing friction or chafing.
The mesh detailing and cloud-print waistband are not lost on me since I think they make a simple pair of gray tights 10 times cuter!
And I love the little zipper pockets – they’re perfect for stashing a house key during our morning and evening walks with Sadie.
The thick headband I’m wearing is the Fringe Fighter headband and I was honestly a little surprised by how much I liked it when I slipped it on! I wear a headband almost every single time I work out to fight flyaway hairs and typically gravitate toward skinny headbands, but I really liked the way this one stayed in place and kept the hair and upper forehead sweat out of my face when I wore it to teach spinning.
Sadie loves it, too! Haha!
Thank you again to lululemon and ShopStyle for the opportunity try out some wonderful new fitness apparel. I am very grateful!
Question of the Afternoon
- Do you have any lululemon favorites that you swear by?
Lululemon’s Wunder Unders are the jam but I also really, really like their workout tanks, mostly because they’re flattering, feminine, functional and usually quite long, too!

You will LOVE those blue crops right after birth too!!!! I found that waistband was just long enough and firm enough to allow me to feel supported during my first days back to exercising – good choice lady!!!
Love following along with your new adventure!! I have a two year old son who’s now the craziest mini human ever, but the love of my life 🙂

My favorite Lululemon items are the Cool Racerback, Swiftly tanks, and Bang Buster headbands. I don’t own many of their bottoms, but I have a pair of Skinny Groove pants that I basically live in over the weekends (sooooo comfortable!), and my favorite pair of workout pants are my Wunder Under crops that have mesh panels and laser cut detailing on the bottoms!

Where did you find those Toms you are wearing and what color are they? They look SO SO cute and perfect for spring!
Rachel says
Unfortunately I have never purchased any items from them. The cost was always a little much. I told.my husband after I run my first mini I will but some as a present to myself. (:

Love your insight into all things LULU. Love the brand, and i’m obsessed too!..
I LOVE the vinyasa scarf! its a great travel item for cold plane rides when you need it to be a blanket because you are freezing, and actually a few of my friends said its a great “breast feeding cover” in a pinch!
Love all the new updates, and congrats again on the pregnancy!

I LIVE in wunder unders (usually the crops- especially now that I live in Florida haha). And sport bra: free to be or energy ALL the way! My hubby and I pretty much exist only in lulu. It’s a bad, bad habit, but an oh so good one on the flip side 😉

You’re killing me! After reading your post, I just had to go order something from Lululemon! Ordered a top today, but those “in the flow” crop leggins ARE NEXT!!

I don’t have a favourite item as their clothing is way too expensive for me.
linda says
amen to that. and there are so many great alternatives at old navy, jcpenny, etc!!

That energy bra is everything!! You look great in all these clothes

I know they have a cult following and super cute items but I’m just too intimidated to go in to one of those stores. I workout regularly but I’m not a size small.
Maybe someday I’ll have the guts but until then I’ll stick with online ordering of Zella from Nordstrom. I did a few Fabletics and my last order was not as good quality as earlier ones so I gave that stuff away. Love the earlier pieces though.

I think you are the best blogger about being upfront with your sponsored posts. I also really like how much you thank the companies. Some bloggers are vague about it, which seems ungrateful. You are so blatant and grateful and I admire that. I love all the clothes too!

Oh my gosh, LOVE those pants!

I LOVE their tights! Wore them all through my pregnancy (my normal size)…as in until a couple days before I had my daughter. They bounced right back after and I still wear them all the time.

Your first outfit as my current lulu faves! I wasn’t sure why those crops got not great reviews online because I love mine (and have 2 colors now). I also have several of the 105 singlets because they are SO flattering, cool, and comfy.

As a former Health and PE teacher and new SAHM, I also live in work out clothes. Since I’ve been home with my babe, my wunder unders have been my go-to pant. I lived in Lulu before babe as well. Best work out gear out there!

I am addicted to lululemon and have a huge wardrobe full it of them. I love my in the flow crops but didn’t know they were suitable for pregnancy. Thanks to this post, I will try them out. I’m currently 17 weeks pregnant and have living in their no limit tanks( discontinued), 105f singlets and speed shorts for workouts.

I get my workout clothes from TJ Maxx! How do you stomach buying something for that much money?? Just going into Lululemon gives me anxiety because of my budget! LOL
Stephanie says
To be honest I have never purchased from lululemon. I am still in the weight loss phase and have to replace clothes every six months or so. The sports bras are super cute, but are they supportive? I have been looking for a good sports bra, but I am well endowed and need good support and coverage.

Lululemon is a shop that I only visit to browse and wish I could afford their clothing. They make such cute things, but I just can’t do it. I love the headband you have on though- I’m a bigtime headband user during my workouts.
Casey @ bahstonrunnah says
Love everything you showed! I’m totally a “price per wear” type person so I would WAY rather spend my money on cute comfortable workout clothes that i’ll wear constantly than splurge on dresses or going out tops that i’ll only wear a handful of times before they go out of style. Yes, lululemon is expensive, but compared to other fitness brands at retail price (Nike, Northface, Brooks, etc), their stuff is right in line!
Sarah @ LifeAsRough says
Oh my goodness…I need that scarf!

Hi Julie! I’ve been reading your blog for a while and LOVE it! My favorite are the Lululemon Run: Speed shorts – they are super comfy and the lining doesn’t ride up when running which is always a plus 🙂 Love your last outfit… super cute!
Michele says
Could I ask if you ended up sizing up from your normal size in the bottoms you chose due to pregnancy?
Thanks!!! 🙂
