This afternoon was spent in the kitchen!
I had a great time chopping, tasting and experimenting as I put together a recipe for Wisconsin Cheese Council’s 30 Days 30 Ways blog, which showcases 30 different ways to make macaroni and cheese over the course of 30 days. I’m not sure when exactly my recipe will be up, but I’ll be sure to let you know. As I got to work in the kitchen, I made sure to stay true to my blog and kept my recipe healthy and veggie-packed. When I started brainstorming ideas for this recipe, I knew I wanted to include veggies and keep it relatively light, but I also wanted to have breadcrumbs on the top, because casserole-style mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort food.
I prepared most of the mac and cheese on the stove top, but baked it in the oven after topping it with bread crumbs until it bubbled. I can’t wait to share this recipe with you guys! I know many of you share my love for cheese and I have a feeling this will be right up your alley. 😀 The 30 Days 30 Ways blog kicks off on January 20, so hopefully my recipe will be up soon.
And now, time for seconds!
