You guys make me laugh!
I think you should know that the most popular link that was clicked by readers on the blog today was the one for this little gem…
Please tell me that one of you actually bought it. And then let me be your best friend.
Workout
Since my lunchtime post was taken over by oatmeal recipes, we have some catchin’ up to do!
After eating a quick lunch, I headed out to hot yoga.
Since I really enjoyed my experience at a local yoga studio last week, I went again today and bought a package of five classes for $35. I hope this will motivate me to incorporate more yoga into my life!
Today’s class was challenging, mostly because my hamstrings were sore from yesterday’s workout. Considering my hamstrings are naturally crazy-tight, having sore, crazy-tight hamstrings made the class a treat!
At the end of the class, I was sweaty and felt wonderfully stretched out in the way only a yoga class can make me feel.
Even though my relationship with yoga is a little rocky in that I will love it for a few months and then forget about it, it’s one of the forms of exercise that my body honestly craves.
Dinner
After yoga and cramming in a few hours of work, Ryan let me know he was running late this evening, so I got to work on a dinner that takes a little longer than usual to make. Okay, so it took only 40 minutes, but that’s long for me! I’m a 20-minutes-or-less kind of gal!
I set out to make my favorite squash casserole and it turned out just as wonderful as I remembered.
I ended up adding a cup of chopped mushrooms to the casserole, but other than that, I followed the original recipe.
I can’t believe I don’t made this dish more often. I like it so much but I tend to forget about it. Mental note: Bring this casserole into a regular rotation!
I went back for seconds and practically licked my bowl clean. Yum!
After dinner, Ryan and I took Sadie on an hour-long walk around the neighborhood. It’s unbelievably beautiful outside this evening!
Now I’m off to cram in a little reading before bed. I’m about halfway through Fever, the sequel to Wither, and while I’m enjoying it, I liked Wither better so far.
I’m not complaining though because both books are thoroughly entertaining!
Speaking of books…
Just a reminder that we’ll be discussing The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes next week on Tuesday, April 3, for those of you who read March’s book club selection. If you’re a blogger and posted a review of the book on your blog and wish to have your link included in the post, please email it to me and I’ll be sure to add it to the list!
Goodnight!
Caroline @ After Dinner Dance says
I’m almost done with the book club book – I’ve liked it a lot so far. I’m thinking about reading Wither too…though I’ve only read the first in the Maze Runner series as of yet. You give me so many good book ideas to choose from!

I recently bought a livingsocial deal for 20 bikram yoga classes for $50 for a studio near me. I actually waited to try bikram yoga until the livingsocial deal came out because I knew the studio usually runs them every 6 months or so. Gotta love daily deal websites!

I love squash casserole but never made it with sausage. Sounds delicious!

Haha that wine glass holder looks klutz-proof for someone like me, but I’m pretty sure I would still find some magical way to spill it all over myself.

You’re inspiring me to give yoga another chance! I always get a little bored when I do yoga, but I think if I really *try* to like it a few times, it may come around.

I am the exact same way – love yoga for a few months, then forget about it, then remember it, then love it again…and the cycle goes on and on. Not sure why this happens though! lol

That link popularity is hilarious! I think if I had to buy one of those items I’d definitely go for the hoodie pj’s!! LOL I used to rock a lot of those footed pj’s back in my younger days. 😉
As for the hot yoga, good for you! I do like yoga, but wish I had more time to fit it in. I can understand your struggles w/it. You buying the yoga package was a great idea and kind of motivates me to go back to Jazzercise and buy another subscription. 😉 Have a great day!

Totally going to try that squash casserole 🙂 It looks Yum-O!
So I was surfing Pinterest the other day and ran across this list of books that someone compiled. I remember you had read The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner Trilogy and thought you might like some of the other books on the list. Some I’ve added to my wish list.
