I feel very fortunate to have a good handful of friends from college who live close by. It makes celebrating birthdays all the more fun because everyone gets together and we all have a chance to catch up.
Tonight a gang of us headed out to Mucho, a restaurant in downtown Orlando, to celebrate my friend Kaitlyn’s 25th birthday.
The evening began with chips and salsa.
The chips and salsa seemed to refill automatically and I feel like I ate an entire platter full of chips and salsa myself over the course of the evening. Both the chips and salsa were homemade and so, so good!
For dinner Ryan and I ordered a chicken quesadilla and fish tacos and split them down the middle.
We both agreed that the quesadilla was the better of the two. Anything dripping in cheese is bound to taste good!
Once everyone’s plates were cleared, our waiter brought out the cake that I made for Kaitlyn and we all sang to her as she made a wish and blew out her birthday candles.
Everyone enjoyed pieces of red velvet birthday cake in honor of Kaitlyn!
I had two helpings, plus a load of icing (not to mention all the icing I ate when I made the cake!).
I am officially stuffed to the brim.
I think my body will welcome tomorrow’s morning blogger boot camp class. I can’t wait! To those of you who are coming, I’ll try not to cramp up due to icing overload, but I make no promises.
How fun! 🙂 I need to come down to Orlando in April for my 21st and you can make me a cake. 😉
