Good afternoon, lovely friends!
Have you heard about National Bad Ass Hair Day? Well, it’s today! And it’s pretty awesome. Read on for more information and a fun giveaway opportunity, too!
National Bad Ass Hair Day is all about celebrating your natural beauty, your look and style and your hair in a way that makes you feel amazing. It’s OGX Beauty’s lighthearted way of saying that there’s no such thing as a bad hair day. It’s a day where bad hair days are transformed into bad ass hair days.
National Bad Ass Hair Day aims to encourage women to embrace their hair for its uniqueness and beauty, even on days when you might want to hide your mane underneath a baseball hat. For the past few weeks, women have been spreading the word about National Bad Ass Hair Day via social media by uploading pictures of themselves and adding the hashtag #badasshairday when they feel most bad ass.
The pictures flooding in aren’t of women leaving the salon. They’re not images of women right before a fancy event or a wedding. They’re real pictures from real moments that occur in every day life. An image of a ponytail right after an awesome workout. Tangled locks on the beach. A mom who just hair her hair styled by her adorable daughter.
To celebrate National Bad Ass Hair Day, OBX Beauty is encouraging women everywhere to participate and share photos from real moments that capture them when they’re having fun and feeling most like a bad ass.
To get in on the fun, you can upload a photo to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and add the #badasshairday hashtag. By doing this, you’ll be entered to win tons of fun prizes from OGX Beauty!
I’m also joining in and spreading the word and would love to offer one of you guys a prize pack of hair care goodies, too!

I’ve been working out in the mornings. I feel like a bad ass the rest of the day!! 🙂
I recently lost some weight and felt so confident in a bridesmaids dress I wore this weekend!
I work out in the mornings which makes me feel pretty bad-ass in general, but the other day a trainer came over to me at the gym and told me I was a beast. Totally made my day! I love feeling strong and healthy!
We’re working on our house and finally started to make some progress, so I felt awesome being so motivated and productive!
I feel like a bad ass after a sweaty work-out. I’ve always naturally been a pretty “heavy sweater” but as of recently the sweat has been pouring off of me while teaching. At first I was embarrassed of my wet pony-tail and soaked shirt, but a couple of regulars mentioned how much they love my class because my intensity pushes them to work harder. So, now I’m embracing the sweaty-ness! Total bad ass!
After a nice long hike on one of our favorite trails!
My latest badass moment was deadlifting 25 lbs over my body weight for 4 reps. I felt strong and ready to conquer the day.
In just two months I have lost 30 pounds, started going to the gym and weight training and am now training for my 1st half marathon in October. I have never felt better and more bad ass!
Hitting 720lbs on the leg press at the gym! Talk about a sense of accomplishment and pride. I felt like a total badass – especially when the guys were like “whoa!”
I survived 2 days taking care of my 7 week old with my husband out of town!
I feel like a badass every time i go for a run!
I installed some light fixtures in our house and that made me feel awesome!
A good, sweaty workout always makes me feel like a badass!
I ran my first race after ACL reconstruction last weekend!!! One guy even yelled “Beautiful scar” at me as I ran past 🙂
I put together two 70+ attendee meetings back to back days for work and watching them go smoothly made me feel like I could do anything!
My daughter just turned one and made it the whole year breastfeeding 🙂
I have to remind myself daily that the coconut cream “flavour” of the OGX is NOT EDIBLE.
Cherry? Have to buy it now!!
I just had two interviews for a new job! I should hear something by the end of the week, so fingers crossed 🙂
During and after a sweaty spin class I definitely feel like a bad ass! That is a tough workout!
After bodypump class. I feel so good that I was able to make it through. 🙂
What a fun giveaway! I’ve never tried OGX hair products but now I’m intrigued. I always feel like a bad ass after working out. On Monday, I held plank on my toes for the full 90 seconds in Pure Barre – that definitely made me feel like a bad ass!
While I’ve done many races, the one that really hit home and made me feel “badass” was the end of December when I ran my first marathon which I had been training for all year…and I placed 4th for my age group! More recent then that was actually Monday when although my workout ended way too early and I didn’t feel like I had done much, right before leaving I decided to try climbing the rope at my gym (no knots & this is my goal for this year) and I made it more then halfway! So psyched!
I interviewed for a new job that required me to make a presentation in front of a panel and I think I nailed it! Total bad ass moment for me especially after stress I was feeling about it!
I felt like a bad ass during my last half marathon 🙂
Running a half marathon last weekend made me feel like a bad ass!
Doing my first (in a long time) sprint workout on the treadmill a couple of days ago. I got in 4 miles of fast footwork and felt so good after! I admit taht I felt like a bad ass, especially when the other guy in the gym was slowly trotting along on the elliptical. 🙂
My physical therapist told me I was really nailing my knee rehab!
My morning workouts have not been as consistent as I would like them to be, but, they make me feel pumped up and ready for the day!!
Nailing a new-to-me climbing route at the gym is always a badass feeling!
This may be a strange time to feel like a bad ass but I was recently a surprise guest at a 4 year-old’s birthday party and felt so awesome to surprise him! I hadn’t seen the family in a few months and the kids were so beyond excited! I was on top of the world!
I finished my hardest semester of nursing school with my best grades ever. It may not sound very Bad Ass, but nothing feels more like bad assery then when people tell you you won’t be able to do it, and you prove them wrong!
When my team told me i am a strong leader, i felt so proud and like a bad ass!!
I just ran the Bolder Boulder and I must say, surprised myself with a great run! I rocked it!
I feel like a badass every time I go for a run, but especially after I finished the Joplin Memorial 5K two weeks ago in honor of the 161 people who were killed in the tornado. The last half mile of the race was lined with flags with all of the victims names listed. It was so empowering and humbling I felt like I could do anything because I was running for those who can’t anymore.
Every time I wake up & get to the gym by 5:30am for my hour long workout!
I recently ran a half marathon and got a PR. Total badass moment 😉
I am in a wheelchair and have been doing my own modified yoga routine everyday since March – also handcycling! Both of these make me feel like more of a bad ass than I already am 😉
I recently got into medical school- it made me feel like a total badass.
Congratulations to you! That is an incredible accomplishment!
I have been healing from a back injury this past December, and I finally got into doing planks at my physical therapist! It felt great, and I am on my way to strengthening my body back into the badass I know I can be!
I ran my 5th half marathon last weekend! 🙂
new job, one year wedding anniversary, new car, new lease on a place, and accepted into grad school all within the last couple months! GO ME!
Getting to the gym at 530 9 weeks postpartumM
I KILLED my track workout last Friday. I was nervous about it for days, but I did it and felt like a million bucks afterward!
Getting thru the day with a 19 month old!!
Painting my daughter’s bathroom who is 3.5 with her playing in the bath tub (no water in tub). And then installing hooks & new lights and shower curtain rod. WHOA
I felt the best the last weekend, when I woke up and I didnt get on the scale. Usually when I get on the scale I always feel bad and have a terrible start to my day.. I was on vacation in Atlantic Beach, NC. I woke up and went and sat outside on the porch watching the water.. and my day was perfect. I knew I had to be in a swimsuit all day.. but I felt great and confident in myself and enjoyed my vacation to the fullest! 🙂
I felt bad ass after a tough workout Monday morning to kick off memorial day!
Ran my 4th Half Marathon — first post baby (she just turned one) — this past weekend! Didn’t break any records, but felt pretty bad ass that I was even able to finish it after the late start training due to a horrible winter up here in Boston 🙂
I recently got accepted into the doctorate program I applied to. I felt pretty “bad ass” that day!

Today is a great day to be a bad-ass! I drove my mom to the doctor in traffic and she didn’t yell/freak out. I’ll gladly take that as a bad ass moment!
