Nike Training Club

October 30, 2013 by Julie 84 Comments

You guys are so, so wise.

Thank you to so many of you for recommending the incredible Nike Training Club app after I asked for awesome fitness app recommendations at the end of my morning blog post yesterday.

Nike Training Club App

Since a large number of you had such wonderful things to say about the app, I downloaded it after work yesterday and played around with it before my morning workout.

Oh my gosh, it kicked my butt!!! I was dripping in sweat and even had two different people come up to me and ask me about my workout because they were intrigued by the crazy moves I was doing all over the gym floor. It was killer in the best possible way.

I did the Advanced Adrenaline Hit 45-minute workout and was so impressed with the way the workout included a timer, video demonstrations of the exercises, words of encouragement and proper form tips.

Nike Training Club

The workout included a warm up and stretching which, as a trainer, I also loved. Safety first!

I am excited to try workouts from the other categories and will definitely report back! Today’s workout was one of the app’s Get Lean workouts but they also have Get Toned, Get Strong and Get Focused workouts.

The app is free and available to both iPhone and Android users. I know I only have one workout under my belt, but even after one use, I can say I highly recommend it. Thank you so much to those of you who recommended it to me! Big sweaty hugs for all of you!

Breakfast

After my sweaty workout, I was more than ready for breakfast and prepared a batch of scrambled eggs with green pepper, mushrooms, chicken sausage and shredded cheese.

Plus a banana on the side!

Time to get the work day started!

Question of the Morning

  • What is the last workout you did that completely kicked your butt?

Be sure to follow PBFingers on Instagram and Facebook!

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I’m intrigued by this App! Does it allow you to select gym or home workouts? Or do all workouts require equipment found at most gyms (rather than limited equipment at home or when traveling)?

Before you choose a workout, it’ll tell you what (if any) equipment is required. Most of the workouts only require dumbbells or a kettlebell and a yoga mat. I downloaded the app when I moved into my house and cancelled my gym membership in favor of home workouts.

I used it too and it is great! The ab burner 15 minute one is awesome too if you just feel like running and then doing abs!

I used this app once or twice and was iffy on it just cause I enjoy lifting heavy weights so much. But now that I don’t do as much cardio (& in desperate need of doing it again..) maybe I’ll give this a try.

Those eggs look so good-I eat eggs just about every morning and need to start adding some chicken sausage–yum!

So glad you like it! Sometimes after a run I’d do one of the 15 minute workouts that can target legs, abs, or arms. I really need to get back into that app since I know it’s so effective. Sweaty hugs back! 😉

I just joined a new gym in Philly called Unite Fitness….it’s so hard! 30 minutes of HIIT on either the treadmill, the spin bike, or the rower (up to you!) and then 30 minutes of weights intervals followed by a 15 minute yoga stretch. I’m normally dripping with sweat after just the cardio and it only gets better from there!

I LOVE the NTC app! I really need to dig it out and use it more often. The last workout that kicked my butt was a little 2 mile trail run on Sunday. I ran 8 miles Saturday and the hills and unsteady terrain Saturday has left my ankles and shins still angry today.

I love NTC! The workouts are challenging, but use simple moves and limited equipment to do them. I’ve had the app for awhile and it’s always my go-to place to find a workout when I need to switch up my routine.

I mix it up a lot, but I tend to stick with Tracy Anderson and she kicks my butt every workout! If you haven’t heard of her, look her workouts up on Youtube. I HIGHLY recommend!

This sounds exactly like something I need in my life. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do for workouts lately, and this sounds great! Nike actually has a NTC concept store in Chicago where they offer free workout classes every day, including NTC workouts, but I have yet to attend (mostly because I’m lazy and it’s much easier to do a workout at home than go somewhere to workout!).

NTC is the best! I’ve been using it for the last year or so and it’s the best way to a.) add on to a short cardio workout or b.) squeeze in a quick at-home workout. You’ll get bonus workouts along the way and those are awesome, too. Welcome to the NTC club!

We have some awesome instructors at our local Barre 3 and I typically leave these classes shaking from muscle fatigue. They always find a way to use those muscles that “don’t exist” which is a good reminder for me to switch things up and add in that resistance training. Definitely an awesome workout and great way to tone the body.

I love the Nike Training app! I love the workouts from other athletes and always get excited when there is an update or I unlock another level! I think a workout from that app or the yoga workout from P90X was the last butt kicking workout I did. Now that I’m 7 months pregnant, walking on the treadmill at an incline for 30 minutes kicks my butt.
