This morning, thanks to the time change, we lost and hour of our day. Apparently losing an hour affects us quite a bit because I feel like we’ve been hustling and bustling since we awoke!
Once we were out of bed, Ryan and I ate a quick breakfast before leashing up Sadie and driving 30 minutes to his 9 a.m. soccer game.
On my plate: A tortilla microwaved with Colby jack cheese and a smear of raspberry jelly, along with fresh strawberries and a cup of strawberry banana Chobani Greek yogurt.
Don’t knock the cheese + jelly combo ‘til you’ve tried it!
Soccer Game
With some food in our bellies, we drove out to the Seminole soccer fields where Sadie and I cheered on our favorite guy.
Sadie is such a good little fan! She didn’t miss a play… that is until a squirrel came running by to taunt her.
Once Ryan’s game was over (they tied), we drove home to grab a snack and quickly change before heading right back out.
We swung by Plato’s Closet to drop off some of my old clothes and jewelry (we got $13 for some stuff… the rest will be going to Goodwill) and then drove on to church to attend the 12:30 p.m. service.
After church we ran some errands. First stop: Target!
We stocked up on laundry detergent, Q-tips, toothpaste, my favorite vitamins, face wash and gum before driving to Publix to pick up our food for the week.
While grocery shopping, we were both hit with some serious hunger and picked up sushi for lunch.
We got the Hawaiian roll which was basically a tuna roll covered in a whole bunch of fun stuff.
Paired with a cup of chocolate whipped yogurt, this late lunch hit the spot!
Our non-stop day isn’t over yet. I still have ambitions to do some cleaning and then I have a few things I want to work on for the old blog.
First up: Updating my iPod with some new jams! Stay tuned for a new rockin’ playlist.
In case you’re on the lookout for some new workout songs, here are some of my other playlist posts:
See ya in a bit!

Those gummi vitamins are dangerous in my possession. I always remember to eat them, but sometimes eat like 4 in a day!!
Meg says
I LOVE jelly and cheese! Especially mozz + raspberry! Mmmm definitely not knockin’ it 😉
Enjoy your day and that sushi roll looks like SO much fun, haha!
Kody says
I always drop off my clothes at Plato’s Closet and I usually buy Flintstones vitamins, never had the gummies though.
Holly @ Couch Potato Athlete says
I agree — we slept in a little today and I feel like the day has totally gotten away from me! It usually takes me a day or two to adjust to the time change. Tomorrow morning will be interesting — I hope I don’t sleep in and am late for work — eek!
Dani says
Totally agree that this day seems to be going on fast forward! I absolutely love greek yogurt & was really excited to see that Chobani is available at Costco in individual sizes! And since it takes over a month for yogurt to expire, I can actually buy the massive Costco size & not worry about it expiring. 🙂
VeggieGirl says
Definitely a busy day here too!!
Cheese & jelly, eh? I must try that.
LOVE your hairdo!
Emma (Namaste Everyday) says
cheese and fruit is to die for! we are not crazy, all those haters are crazy 🙂
Kelly says
Hey…I did your treadmill workout from the other day this morning. It hit the spot!! 5 minutes at 4.0 speed, 10% incline, 5 minutes @ 6.7, 1% incline repeated 5 times for 30 minutes. In and out for a feel good quickie sweat session!
Annette @ EnjoyYourHealthyLife says
mmmm new playlist!! Love new jams 🙂 P.s. I love the cheese and jam combo, yummmy!
Mandy says
THAT SUSHI LOOKS AMAZING!!! And sadie looks like the best fan ever.. dogs are so much fun!
SaraRM says
OH-M-GEEEE that sushi looks amazing!!!!! Seriously yum!
Amy at TheSceneFromMe says
Plato’s closet is so frustrating! I take huge bags of stuff there and only walk out with $14. What they have in that store vs. what they take of my stuff is awful. I get so mad, I refuse to go back in there for a while.
Have a great day!

Hey Julie!
I have always read your blog but never actually commented (I am quite lazy at times) But I do enjoy your posts tremendously!
Speaking of playlist, I jam to this band while I am at the gym as well but they are a small indie band based in Canada.
I have all their music so if you really like them, I can send you the files! (You can only download one of their songs currently)

Your breakfast & lunch look equally delish. You haven’t steered me wrong with a combo yet, so I’m down for trying jelly & cheese fo sho! 🙂
Can’t wait for another playlist post! I’m loving Buzzin (Mann) and You Be Killin’ Em (Fabolous) for running lately! Also, pretty much anything by Far East Movement gets me goin!
Theresa says
What’s really good is a cinnamon raisin bagel thin, pepper jack cheese, and jelly!!! Reminds me of one of the best appetizers ever-pepper jelly and whipped cream cheese! So good!!

kristi (sweet cheeks) says
can’t wait to see the ipod update! I’m in serious need of some new ideas!
Lisa says
Thanks for posting a link to Plato’s Closet. I’ve never heard of it before and decided to see if there is a location near my house (there’s not). I was thrilled to see that there is one in the town my parents live in Florida. Next time I have things to donate I’ll have to check it out. I usually go right up the road to where the Goodwill truck is to drop off donations. This location is a little bit closer.
Lauren @ Fun, Fit and Fabulous! says
What a busy but fun day! Thanks for the playlist suggestions. I have been meaning to update mine for some time now, but never know what to put on it! I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening!
Ali @ Ali Runs says
I love your playlists! I am always looking for some new music so thanks for sharing! 🙂
Michelle says
Wait – that’s all you bought at Tar-jay? How do you do it? Hee. It’s rare that I can walk out of there without spending $50.
Glad to hear you’ve had the same experience with Plato’s Closet. I’ve brought decent/trendy stuff there (Banana Republic, Gap, Loft, Express, etc) and they always end up wanting the stuff I bought at Target — and give me like $2 for it. Whatevs!
Allison @ Happy Tales says
Hollaaaa! I just updated my ipod jams, too! Can’t wait to see what new songs you put on yours. I’m always up for ideas 🙂
Sarah says
I tried the cheese/jelly combo. How did I not know about this? Fabulous.
Laura says
that’s a lot of sushi, the portion sizes in the US always amaze me.
Lea @ Healthy Coconut says
If you like the cheese and jam combo on the quesadilla, try it on your eggs too.
I made egg omelet and stuffed it with a some nut butters and jam. Sweet + savory thing going on. Just like you said, don’t knock it til you try it right?
Cynthia says
I just discovered the goat cheese and jam combo. It is delicious! I put that in a wrap and have it as a snack. So tasty.
Amber K says
Oh my gosh I hate DST. I hate falling back, I hate springing forward, I hate the whole shifting of my whole darn system!
Missy says
Look at Sadie in her Sunday best!
I just want to say — Your Publix’s sushi > my Publix’s suchi.
It’s fine though….because I love Publix.
My Publix sells GT Kombucha!
