Even though Ryan’s 29th birthday wasn’t exactly the one we had planned, it ended up being a good one!
It was filled with fun, surprises, presents, good food and Oreo pie.
We initially had plans to celebrate two birthdays last night with our friends Will and Alex. Will’s birthday is on October 12 and we were supposed to meet up halfway between their home in Orlando and our home in Ocala to grab dinner and drinks.
Unfortunately they got caught in the middle of some horrendous traffic and were stuck on the turnpike for more than 90 minutes when we agreed to call it a day and reschedule our plans. We felt awful for them, but we’re looking forward to seeing them very soon!
Instead of our original plans, Ryan and I ended up enjoying an impromptu birthday date. I love our dates and we have another one on the agenda for this evening – the original “just us” birthday date I had planned all along!
Workout
Today’s workout had me sweatin’! I began with 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical before hopping off to complete my Sunrise Circuit Workout.
Not a bad way to start a Saturday!
Breakfast
After the gym, Ryan and I popped into Publix to grab some food for the weekend. I picked up one of their fruit and yogurt parfaits and ate it along with a slightly over-cooked pumpkin oatmeal muffin.
Time to walk Sadie!

I hope Ryan had a lovely birthday 🙂 I just grabbed some fruit for my breakfast post-workout. I never workout in the morning so I wanted something easy!

I’m sorry your b-day plans didn’t work out. At least your friends were not hurt in the accident…it looks like at least 52 people were injured.

I’m so glad you guys made the most of a sudden change in plans. I’m sure more than anything Ryan just wanted you to be there for his birthday festivities, regardless of what they involved!
