Hello, hello!
I’m back after a busy Monday! I spent the day in Orlando going through a “Healthy Living Principles” training which serves as a precursor for the LiveStrong adult cancer survivor group training that three of my coworkers and I will be going through in the coming month. My mom actually participated in the program following her breast cancer diagnosis, so I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it. I’ll be sure to share more as the training continues!
Today
Today will also be a busy day, but it’s a different kind of busy since it’s all travel related. As soon as I am done publishing this post, I’ll be driving two hours to the airport to catch a flight to Los Angeles for the IDEA World Fitness Convention. To say I am excited would be a serious understatement. I’ve heard the most amazing things about this convention and since it’s in LA, I just know I’ll see at least 20 celebrities. Right!?
On Friday I will be flying directly from LA to Colorado for Michaela and Kyle’s wedding! Michaela is the most laidback bride in the whole world and said she doesn’t care what shoes we wear with our bridesmaid dresses as long as they’re nude. I currently have three pairs packed in my suitcase because I can’t make up my mind!
Any suggestions? I think I am leaning toward the snazzy shoes in the middle.
I think they’re so fun and I’ve never worn them before. They were my sister’s shoes and she didn’t want them anymore, so I scooped them up!
Workout
Today’s workout started a little too early for comfort. I feel like my body will crash hard tonight!
Ryan and I headed to the gym at 5 a.m. for a workout. My workout included 25 minutes of cardio that I split between the treadmill and the elliptical. I also did an upper body strength workout which felt great! I have always loved training my shoulders, so any workout that includes shoulder exercises is always a good one in my book.
Breakfast
Once we made it home from the gym, it was time for breakfast.
I toasted a whole wheat English muffin and topped it with crunchy Barney Butter almond butter and a drizzle of honey.
On the side I had a small bowl of scrambled eggs for some added protein.
Time to hit the road!

I love the snazzy shoes! I also like the ones on the far right. 🙂

Very exciting! I am leaning towards the shoes on the left or in the middle though. That dress is so pretty! Have fun!
KB says
I love that dress! I’m currently looking for bridesmaid dresses for my wedding, would you mind telling me the designer? It’s just what I’m looking for! Also, I pick the middle shoes for sure! 🙂

It’s J.Crew!

The middle shoes are definitely cute!

I like the ones on the right.

I agree. Shoes on right. The middle ones are too “pretty woman” pre-classy style to me. Sorry, no offence! The ones on left look too business formal maybe? Right seem good.
Elisabeth says
Love the shoes on the right! Have a fun, safe trip!

For a bridesmaid, I like the ones on the far left the best!

The shoes in the middle are flippin adorable- they get my vote!
No idea why, but I’ve never had nut butter on an English muffin. What have I been thinking? Snack time!
Erika @ fortheloveofpeanutbutter says
Wooo have fun! I would say the shoes in the middle or on the left. However, all are pretty darn cute!

Have fun! I went to college out in LA. 🙂 If you head down to San Diego, let me know!
Ky says
The shoes in the middle are my favorite, but I think the shoes on the left would be more appropriate for the occasion. Enjoy LA and good luck if you have to drive anywhere while you’re there! 🙂

I’m so glad to hear you’re getting involved in the Livestrong program. You seem to have a great personality for it.
My husband and I were talking with a local Livestrong trainer in the hopes of her working with my father-in-law. Unfortunately, he lost his battle with cancer two weeks ago. But having seen him go through his struggles makes me believe even more in the Livestrong program.
Have a super trip.
PS I LOVE your recipe for overnight oats. 🙂

I would love to know where you purchased the bridesmaid dress! Exactly what I am looking for.

J.Crew!

What brand are those middle shoes your sister gave you? I am looking for wedding shoes and I found a similar pair at dsw but they no longer have them in ivory so I am sort of sad 🙁
peanutbutterfingers says
They’re Ann Taylor!
Corry says
Shoes on the left. I haven’t been following your blog for too long so not familiar with your morning routine….do you eat before you work out? If anyone knows the answer, feel free to reply.
Kelly says
The ones in the middle are the cutest! Love that combo! Have fun traveling, these all seem like amazing and fun things to be a part of this week 🙂
Ryann says
Right or middle — shoes on the left are cute but too business-y!
heather says
The ones on the right 😉
Christina @ The Beautiful Balance says
Definitely the heels in the middle. Super feminine but sophisticated enough for a wedding 😉
