Workout
Today started like any other Friday in our household… with a sweaty workout.
Ryan and I headed to the gym an initially hopped on side-by-side ellipticals, but when Ryan’s machine started clicking and making funky noises, we hopped off and decided to do 20 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill instead.
I honestly feel like walking on an incline can be harder than running at times. Phew.
Treadmill time was followed by an upper-body workout that included the following exercises:
- Superset One: Lat pull downs + Upright rows
- Superset Two: Incline bicep curls + Overhead press
- Superset Three: Tricep dips + Chest press
- Tricep pull downs
- Bicep curls (3 minutes non-stop, inspired by BodyPump)
- Mac raises (Also inspired by BodyPump)
- Ab work on the exercise ball
My arms feel like Jello now!

Clearly I’m still on my egg sandwich kick. Mmm.

The last meal I ate involving quaker oats was your banana bread pancakes recipe! I actually blogged about it, they were so good but I was a dork and used a kitchen aid instead of a blender. ;p I’m making your pumpkin ones for my boyfriend tomorrow morning!

Hi Julie – thanks so much for such an awesome giveaway. Last week I made a delicious mexican dish with whole grain tortillas and tonight I am having whole grain pancakes! I love breakfast!

I enjoy quaker old fashioned oats almost every morning, made with milk and and a spoonful of peanut butter. My favorite!

I had Quaker old fashioned oats for breakfast this morning! Alongside an egg over easy and a Peach Chobani. So. good.
Can’t go wrong with my everyday English muffin, 2 egg scramble(onions, bell peppers and potatoes) topped off with avocado. More Ketchup than you could think is humanly possible for one person to ingest as well.
This weekend includes the return of Oatmeal back into my life. Took a short break from it due to over consumption but I am back on the wagon.

plain yogurt, quaker old fashioned oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, frozen berries, stevia all sat over night and i had delicioud over night oasts to wake up to!

Quaker’s quick oats with pumpkin, blueberries, banana slices, and peanut butter on top!
I made a protein pancake for breakfast! 1/3 cup of oats mixed with cinnamon and stevia, 3/4 cup of egg whites, then cooked on a skillet and served with a teaspoon of peanut butter on top and syrup! NOM!
I had some yummy pumpkin oatmeal!

I actually ate Quaker Oats cinnamon oatmeal squares this morning for breakfast!
