Workout
Today started like any other Friday in our household… with a sweaty workout.
Ryan and I headed to the gym an initially hopped on side-by-side ellipticals, but when Ryan’s machine started clicking and making funky noises, we hopped off and decided to do 20 minutes of incline walking on the treadmill instead.
I honestly feel like walking on an incline can be harder than running at times. Phew.
Treadmill time was followed by an upper-body workout that included the following exercises:
- Superset One: Lat pull downs + Upright rows
- Superset Two: Incline bicep curls + Overhead press
- Superset Three: Tricep dips + Chest press
- Tricep pull downs
- Bicep curls (3 minutes non-stop, inspired by BodyPump)
- Mac raises (Also inspired by BodyPump)
- Ab work on the exercise ball
My arms feel like Jello now!

Clearly I’m still on my egg sandwich kick. Mmm.

Breakfast this morning was scrambled eggs with assorted veggies, shredded cheese, garlic hummus & a little Sriracha, all wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla. Super yummy!
I’m eating whole grains as I type this, quinoa flakes with cinnamon!
This morning I had whole wheat pecan pancakes.
This is easy! Quaker oatmeal for breakfast! and whole grain sammie for lunch!

Last night as part of my dinner, I had goat cheese and roasted red peppers on Whole Wheat Naan! I plan to make pumpkin pancakes on Sunday that will include whole wheat flour and old fashioned oats!

I made salmon cakes last night, and instead of making them with just breadcrumbs, I added oats as well. You would never know that they had oats in them, and they were great!
Yesterdays breakfast was over night old fashion oats with pumpkin, Greek yogurt, almond milk, and pumpkin pie spice. In the morning I mixed in a tablespoon of sunflower seed butter. Yum fall! 😉 I love over night oats!
I just ate a delicious breakfast with a whole grain Ezekiel English muffin with pb, banana, honey, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon….yummy:p

I had oatmeal for breakfast and plan on making these Mediterranean Lentil Meatballs (Mama Pea’s recipe) that have oats in them for the weekend!
I just finished my giant bowl of oatmeal with apple, banana, cinnamon, and PB! Yummy!!! My new favorite fall breakfast.
Just had a 100% whole grain english muffin with peanut butter and banana slices!
Here is my exact breakfast from this morning– SO good AND filling:
1/2 cup quaker old fashioned oats cooked on stovetop mixed in with almond milk, unsweetened cocoa powder and dark chocolate stevia droplets.
at the end i stirred in one scoop of milk chocolate whey protein powder and topped it off with fresh blueberries and cheerios for some extra crunch.
Yum!
I just ate cold oats for breakfast with flax, granola, walnuts, and jam on top!
I JUST finished a breakast cookie this morning. Im on a weird kick of those just like you are with your egg sandwiches. 🙂

I had a mushroom and pepperoni pizza made on a sandwich thin. Best thing closestbto the real deal. I’m on vacation so I hope i will be able to get in whole grains in breakfast soon in my toast or oatmeal.

I eat steel cut oats or old fashioned oats (overnight oats style). I am also addicted to you oatmeal pancakes recipe. They are the most moist, fluffy, flavorful pancakes ever. I live for whole grains!
