PBF Gift Guide: Under $30
If there is someone in your life who has an Apple Watch they love and use regularly, this little charging stand would make a great stocking stuffer. I gave Ryan an Apple Watch for his birthday this year and along with it, I wrapped up this inexpensive charging stand. He uses it every single day for his watch and said it’s awesome! It’s also available in a bunch of colors — black, white, navy, pink — so you can easily find one to match a loved ones’ watch and/or household decor.

New Game
There are certain games that have taken over game night in most houses — Cards Against Humanity and Catch Phrase come to mind — but we’ve had a few additions to our game collection over the years that have proven to be incredibly popular with our friends that are slightly less well-known. 5 Second Rule is a personal favorite as it’s another quick-thinking game that’s easy to catch onto and fun to play in groups. We also love BANG! which is admittedly harder to learn but incredibly fun once you get the hang of it. My in-laws also introduced us to Mexican Train Dominoes this year and we thought that was a blast a well.

Bluetooth Shower Speaker
A small Bluetooth speaker is great for anyone who likes to sing in the shower or get ready to some favorite tunes! Our boys do so much better taking baths together when we have music playing so this is a great one to keep in mind for kid bath time, too! This rose gold option is so pretty and this black portable speaker on Amazon has great reviews.
This is a stocking stuffer I think almost anyone would appreciate, especially those who travel a lot or frequently bring electronics with them on the go. Etsy has gorgeous options out there with many multi-packs and even cable organizer cases available while Anthropologie’s faux-fur tech pouch is quirky and adorable.
I think this collapsible tote may just have to be a permanent fixture on my gift guide lists because I continue to get such positive feedback from those of you who have ordered it! I cannot tell you how often we use this tote in our house! It easily pops up into a large structured tote when you’re ready to use it and collapses down when you want to store it away. It’s ideal for travel and we use it to corral all of the boys’ toys into one space in the car and also as a toy staging area wherever we go. We also use this tote to store snacks on long road trips since the size makes it perfect for storing everything from boxes of crackers to apples in one easy-to-access place.
These were a Things I’m Loving Friday feature a few weeks ago and for a good reason. We love Stasher Bags in our house because they help us reduce our waste and can be used for everything from transporting the boys’ snacks around in our bags to storing sandwiches, marinating meat for dinner, etc. The uses for Stasher Bags are endless and we have them in a variety of sizes because we use them so often. There are a bunch of knock-off bags out there, but from talking with friends who have gone that route, it seems like you cannot beat the quality of Stasher Bags!

Reusable Paper Towels
In the spirit of reducing waste, how creative is this reusable paper towel roll? The towels can be bought with snaps so they roll up like a traditional paper towel roll, making it easy to snap one off the moment you need it.

New Planner + Gel Pens + Pastel Highlighters
I love combination gifts and this is a great one for the person who still loves using a paper planner. (You’re not alone! Paper planners for liiife!) Pairing a new planner with a pack of quality gel pens or pretty pastel highlighters feels like the adult version of gifting someone brand new school supplies and as someone who loved shopping for school supplies every year, I am obviously a fan of this idea!
Planner Favorites: Anthropologie Garden Party Planner (this one just makes me smile!) / Floral Day Planner / $7 Navy Floral Planner / Blush Pink Planner /

Card Holder or Card Case
Okay hear me out on this one: I personally own a wallet, card case and card holder and use ALL of them on a regular basis. I keep my driver’s licence and most-used credit cards in my card case which I store in my wallet. This makes it easy to grab my card case and easily transfer it to whatever purse/bag/wristlet I am using without worrying about fitting my whole wallet in some of my smaller bags. My wallet then contains cash, punch cards to local hot spots and a gift card or two I’m planning to put to use soon. My card holder is my “catch all” card organizer that I use for gift cards, membership cards, etc. This may seem like an odd system but it’s actually quite organized and I figured it was worth mentioning here since all three of the items I use regularly were gifts from loved ones at some point. Clearly I’ve loved them all and put them to good use! If you know someone who might benefit from this strange yet effective card/money organization system, I highly recommend a card holder or card case as a great holiday gift this year!
Card Case Favorites: Gemma Suede Card Case (love the mustard yellow and poppy colors of this Anthropologie find) / Pastel Leather Card Case (simple, classic and so pretty) Kate Spade Sparkling Card Holder (This is the one I have and LOVE. I prefer the the business card-style metal card case with a clasp closer that makes it really easy to access my ID and credit cards.) / Personalized Card Case (another gorgeous and reasonably-priced find with a clasp closure)
Card Holder Favorites: Fossil Logan Zip Card Holder (This $27 option looks way more expensive than its reasonable price point) / A great $8 option from Target available in black, a caramel color (my fav) and olive green

Sherpa Throw
I’m convinced sherpa throws are the coziest blankets on the planet. I love to give them as gifts and can usually find quality, affordable options at HomeGoods, Target, Marshalls and TJMaxx.
My Favorites: Plaid Sherpa Throw / UltraLux Plush Blanket (great reviews, lots of color options and only $27) / Monogramed Sherpa Blanket / Solid Cable Knit Chenille Sherpa Throw (I love the knit on one side of this Target sherpa throw, plus it looks just like this Pottery Barn version we have that is $100+ that we love!)

New Mug or Tumbler with Coffee Shop Gift Card or Favorite Hot Beverage
This is another great combination gift, perfect for coworkers, neighbors, babysitters, etc. I love finding a mug that fits the personality of the person I’m giving a gift to and then pairing it with either a gift card to a favorite local coffee shop or a bag of their favorite coffee, a seasonal tea or yummy hot cocoa. Tip: You can never go wrong with Williams-Sonoma hot chocolate. Their peppermint hot chocolate is unreal and we buy a container every year!
Mug Favorites: Stojo Collapsible Travel Cup (awesome for those who like their coffee on the go but don’t want to cart around a big tumbler when they’re done) / Yeti Travel Tumbler / Anthropologie Garden Party Mug
Hot Beverage Favorites: Four Sigmatic Hot Cacao or Chai Latte Mix (for the health-minded friend!) / Tazo Organic Baked Cinnamon Apple Tea / Williams-Sonoma Hot Chocolate

New Key Chain
I’m not sure whether it’s just me, but I love receiving a new key chain every few years. My current obsession is my O-Ring key chain which makes life easier since you can slip it on your arm and go hands free while carting your keys around. I’ve also loved my tassel leather key chain in the past and these color block letter key chains and ombre key chains are gorgeous.

Thank you for all the ideas! Those card cases are all so pretty- could you update the Anthropologie one? It links to the Kate Spade 🙂 I really need to nail down a better card holder/wallet/purse system since I feel like I’m all over the place!
Julie says
Yes!! It’s updated now — so sorry about that!!

I just got a few Stasher bags three or so weeks ago and I’m a huge fan of them! They’re definitely bulkier than regular plastic bags, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it eventually. I love having something sustainable instead of constantly throwing away plastic bags. I actually plan to put some on my Christmas list (since they’re not cheap!), so I clearly think they’d make a great gift, haha.
Julie says
me too! there’s definitely a little adjusting that has to happen to get used to them but i’m all in since they really do feel like a much better option in terms of reducing waste in our home!

In the past few years, we’ve tried to get all of our shopping done in November and it makes December SO MUCH MORE FUN!

I use a paper bullet journal and I LOVE mildliners! They are pastel-y highlighters and SO much prettier. I highly suggest you pick up a pack from amazon for $5, particularly one with a gray.
