I am really picky with the items I include in my gift guides and many of the items featured are personal favorites you may have seen pop up on the blog throughout the year while others are on my radar for great gift options for my family and friends. I hope you find something that jumps out at you for someone you care about this holiday season!
I figured we’d kick things off with the most affordable gift guide of all! The gift ideas featured in this gift guide are all under $50 and most of them are under $25. Woop!

I am in love with this tinted lip treatment and have been recommending it to everyone lately. It feels luxuriously moisturizing but adds the perfect pop of color to my lips. It’s available in a ton of colors but my personal favorite is the Rose. It’s pink without looking too light or too dark — perfect for a pop of color that still looks natural.
I bought this frother earlier this fall it’s one of my favorite purchases of the year! It warms my coconut milk and makes it thick and foamy and I cannot help but feel like I’m indulging in a coffee-shop creation whenever I use it for my morning coffee! The best part: It’s a lot more affordable than other frothers on the market!

A New Book or Cookbook
While I always love receiving books as gifts, I am often nervous to gift books to people for fear that they may not enjoy the book I selected. I realize this is kind of silly, especially when I really know someone and have a good feel for their literary preferences. If you’re looking for some recommendations for books I think would make great gifts, check out this post: Best Books of 2018 (So Far).
When it comes to gifting cookbooks, I try my best to select cookbooks that seem to align with a loved one’s tastes and/or dietary preferences. A few of my personal favorites include The Whole Smiths Good Good Cookbook (great for Paleo/Whole30 recipes and my fav cookbook purchase of the year!), Barefoot Contessa: How Easy Is That?, The Skinnytaste Cookbook and Juli Bauer’s Paleo Cookbook.
File this gift idea under the gift to get for the person who has everything. I fell in love with my collapsible totes earlier this year when I found myself using them for everything from toy storage and grocery shopping to closet and travel organization (they’re great for keeping kid stuff organized during road trips) and more.
Blue Light Blocking Glasses are definitely a trendy item this year and I hopped on the bandwagon with this affordable pair. I leave them on my desk at home and slip them on whenever I sit down to work on my computer and think they have helped me a bit with headaches and eye strain. Gifting glasses is a bit risky since I know most people prefer picking out their own glasses so a gift certificate might be the best way to go! (I’ve heard great things about Felix Gray glasses and they offer e-gift cards.)

Comfy Cozies
I’m going to go ahead and rope all pajama items and loungewear items into this category because I’m pretty sure everyone loves receiving updated cozy items around the holidays. A new pair of slippers, a warm and comfy robe, a slouchy beanie, jogger pants for lazy Sundays… anything cozy is almost always a hit!
Some personal favorites: GapBody Print Joggers (Silky soft and so comfy! I gave these to my sister last year and we both LOVE them!), this affordable fleece from Amazon (I have it in gray), this slouchy pom beanie, J.Crew Factory Pajama Pants (a long-time favorite for traditional flannel pj pants), TOMS Slippers for men (Ryan and my brother-in-law love these), Splendid Joggers (my fav joggers — temporarily 40% off with code WINNING), a cozy fleeced hooded robe and tons of cute finds on H&M like these cozy knit slippers, faux fur slippers and Pile Bathrobe
(Ornament by HansonsHands)
A few years ago, my aunt gave me and my sister hand-painted ornaments featuring pictures of our dogs and it was such a thoughtful gift. It’s also a gift that continues to make me smile year after year when I hang it on our tree every December. If you know someone who is obsessed with their pet, check out Etsy for tons of options for customized ornament options.
This little cloth is wonderful at removing everything from mascara and eyeliner to foundation and concealer. I also love that it’s travel friendly and I bring mine with me everywhere so I don’t have to worry about staining washcloths with my makeup when I wash my face. It’s a great stocking stuffer for the beauty-lover in your life! (The 700+ positive reviews don’t lie!)

OMG the pet ornaments look SO cute! I never thought to give something like that as a gift, but my parents got a new puppy and they would love something like that! Thanks for the recommendations!

Two questions:
Does the lip tint have a flavor?
and Do you use the makeup remover cloth without an actual makeup remover? Or do you add one?
Ginger G. says
Would love to know the answer to the remover cloth question! 🙂
Julie says
I still use a cleanser but I do that more so because I like to use vitamin C on my skin and really get a deep clean with my Clarisonic every night. 🙂 Even with a cleanser, I often have a lot of mascara/eyeliner to remove and the cloth is GREAT for that and gets it all!!
Julie says
It has almost a floral flavor if that makes any sense. It’s pretty mild but if you’re sensitive to smells/flavor, I’d probably avoid it!

That lip tint looks so pretty, love the color! And I’m super curious about that makeup remover cloth – I’ve never used anything like that. I think my mom and sister would like it (and me too!!)

Cookbooks are always a great idea! I’ve got Joanna Gaines, Tiffany Thiessan, and Crissy Tiegen’s books on my list. Pretty sure I butchered the spelling of all of their names, but you get the point. Ha!

For the facial cloths, Do you rinse and hang yours to dry and reuse? ~Or do you machine wash after each use?
