Yay for New York! Hope it’s not too cold this weekend!
The Physique 57 book intrigues me because I always like trying a new challenge! It looks like Physique 57 would definitely challenge my body in a different way, and that’s always a good thing, right?
I’ve had trouble getting back into strength training since my hand surgery a few weeks ago. I’m hoping a book like this will help put me back in the right mindset!
Have fun! I’ve heard such great things about it, I’m dying to try it!

I had reconstructive surgery on my Achilles tendon last year. After being in a cast for 14 months it’s so refreshing and liberating to get back into a workout routine. I’m always looking for new, challenging workouts to get back into the shape I was in before the surgery!
Good luck with the class! Can’t wait to read your next post about it! 🙂
I once watched Kelly Ripa do this on Live and was curious, but never really gave it more though. IT seems super hard, yet kind of fun!
I am a PT, fitness instructor, and injured ballerina. This would be great for new ideas to give clients and classes, and help me get back to my ballet body. Sculpted and lean! Like many others, I too am interested to hear the “science” behind it. I am very research oriented!
I want to see if this works!
This looks like a awesome book!
There (sadly) aren’t any Physique 57 classes near me, but I’d love to learn more about it!

The ballet connection really intrigues me- I’ve always envied ballerina bodies!
I have always wanted to try this workout. Sadly, I must admit that being in Germany I do not get to do all the “old and familiar” workouts I am used to doing at my gym, like Body Pump (Julie, I am sure you can feel the pain on that one.) So it would be nice to have something a little more familiar and a lot of fun to try when I can squeeze in some much needed me time. Enjoy NYC!
57 minutes??? Funny. Not 50-minute, not 60-minute—57 minutes. Always interesting to read about a new take on fitness and exercise.
I love the ballet aspect of it, I’ve been dancing for 17 years and I love any workout that incorporates dance!
I’ve heard of Physique 57 before, but didn’t really know what it was until I clicked the link in your post! I like the idea of using your own body weight to workout rather than having to have a bunch of equipment on-hand!
Oohhh I love physique 57!! I have all the DVDs and would love the book to round out my collection!
