Some of the other bloggers and I requested a quick pit stop near the grape orchards so we could snap some pictures and get up close and personal with the beautiful fruit. (Me & Olga)
Since we didn’t want to get in trouble for trespassing on the orchards, we hurried back to our cars after a few minutes.
After lunch and a quick change, it was time for dinner!
POM Dinner at Fleming’s
Last night’s dinner took the POM Harvest Tour group to Fleming’s, an upscale steakhouse, for a delicious pomegranate-themed dinner. Our car pool decided to be high rollers and valet our van, so we used the extra time we had waiting for the others to snap some pictures. Love blogger friends! 😀 (Olga, Mary, me, Mike & Gina)(Mike, Gina, me, Olga & Mary)
Once everyone arrived, we snapped a group picture before heading inside.
(Rosa, Olga, Mike, Yujin, Andrea, me, Gina, Paula, Rachael, Liren)
Once inside the restaurant, the hostess led us into a private room where a POM-themed table was set. I think we all started salivating when we saw the menu.
Before our salads were delivered we ordered drinks.
I opted for a pomegranate martini (how fitting!) and it was sweet and tasty!
Our meal began with a warm spinach salad, topped with fried goat cheese, pancetta and pomegranate arils.
The salty creaminess of the goat cheese combined with the pomegranate arils was fantastic! Win!
For my main course, I selected the petit filet mignon in a pomegranate reduction. Fleming’s is known for their fantastic steaks and I was in the mood for some delicious protein. The filet was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the pomegranate balsamic reduction was a wonderful complement. Ryan and I need to go on a hot date to Fleming’s when I’m back in Orlando. He’s been dying to go for ages and would’ve loved this steak!
On the side, our group share family-style servings of au gratin potatoes, mushrooms and creamed spinach.
Holy cheese! You put that much cheese on something and you just know it’s gonna be good! The potatoes and mushrooms were my favorite sides.
Then it was time for dessert… Oh baby was it time for dessert! 😀
We each enjoyed our own servings of pomegranate creme brulee which was beyond delicious.
The crusty sugar on top of the pomegranate-infused custard was fantastic! I ate it up!
We also shared molten lava cake with ice cream that was rich and perfectly delicious.
I love chocolate and definitely ate my fair share of the lava cake.
Our group stayed at the restaurant chatting for a while after dessert. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the group of bloggers and the two POM employees, Andrea and Mike, who participated in the POM Harvest Tour.
I really enjoyed all the different personalities and had a blast getting to know everyone and talking about blogging, food, our families, food, places to travel, food, farming, food, pomegranates and more (food 😉 ). I felt honored to be included in this tour.
I’m flying out today and will be back in Orlando late tonight, so I hope to get in another post about today’s activities from the sky!
Ryan and Sadie, here I come!!! 😀

That looks so fun/delicious/cool !!
The creme brule sounds a bit strange though, I guess it just sounds unusual but was probably good 😛

Gorgeous shot of the table with no one in it. I love shots like that… and then someone got the table with everyone in it – it was on twitter… that was a great shot, too. You are all dolled up and looking lovely. I find it so interesting to hear what you are saying about the wonderful group. I am not surprised. As I meet bloggers and readers I get to know in the blogosphere, I find I am rarely surprised, and always enamoured. Food just brings the most wonderful positive engaging group of still eclectic people together.
