It felt good to get crackin’ on my work-related to do list and forget about the house-related to do list for a little while today.
I worked through lunch, enjoying a Caprese bagelwich with baby peppers and a cup of Greek yogurt at my desk.
I made my Caprese bagelwich by topping a wheat bagel with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil leaves.
At the last second I thought to add some of the leftover sautéed onions from last night’s steak sandwiches.
Great decision!
I also basically chugged 33 ounces of Ferrarelle naturally sparkling mineral water that the company sent me to try.
The water is naturally carbonated and is bottled at the source in Italy. Fancy, huh?
I absolutely loved the fresh, crispness of Ferrarelle. I am a fan of sparkling water in general and this one was definitely top notch.
It made me wonder why water can’t just come out of the tap carbonated? For some reason, the bubbles make it easier for me to drink than regular water.
Errands + Frozen Yogurt Pit Stop
After working a bit more, I took a 45-minute breather to do some returns and purchase a new curtain for the kitchen window.
While I was out and about I grabbed a cup of frozen yogurt.
I ate half before snapping the pic.
I kept my cup small since I knew I’d be eating dinner shortly, but small fro yo is better than no fro yo, especially when it’s topped with Heath bar bits, chocolate-covered sunflower seeds, Capt’n Crunch cereal and granola.
Dinner
Tonight’s dinner included my favorite fish.
Salmon!
We enjoyed a meal of broiled salmon, roasted green beans and zucchini.
After dinner Ryan and I took Sadie on a 35-minute walk around the neighborhood before coming home and going a little crazy on the Pottery Barn website.
Okay, so I went a little crazy on the Pottery Barn website.
Now that we purchased a couch and loveseat for our living room, I feel like I can finally start buying other items to decorate the space.
I’ve been obsessed with Pinterest when it comes to finding inspiration photos for decorating our new house and am in love with this Pottery Barn look:
I managed to locate and buy every single Pottery Barn pillow on that couch to be used on our new couch.
And I bought this rug in the brown trim:
I hope everything looks good when it’s all in one space!
Mallory @ It's Only Life, After All says
that lunch looks delicious! Salmon is def one of my favorite dinner choices. I can’t wait to get out of this temp housing and into my own apartment so I can cook it more often!
Alysha @ She's on the Run says
I love pottery barn. If I had my way (and tons of extra cash), they’d be my go-to furniture and accessories store. Did you and ryan set aside a budget for all your home upgrading? It’s so easy to go overboard if you aren’t careful.
Sweet and Savvy says
I am in love with everything Pottery Barn ! Everything they sell is such a classic!
Maria@La_Piattini says
I’m the same way with West Elm and Crate and Barrel- I just love getting inspired by their catalogs and it usually leads to obsessive purchases 😉
Michelle says
I’m so obsessed with Pintrest. It’s not healthy.
RhodeyGirl says
In Italy that’s the only water my nonna drinks!
Holly @ The Runny Egg says
I love Pottery Barn too — their furniture always looks so nice and comfy.
Megan says
I LOVE Pottery Barn! I told my husband if we ever fall into money (how, I have no idea) – I would just have Pottery Barn come and redecorate the house. It would be amazing. 🙂
peanutbutterfingers says
oh ME too! i have a feeling these pillows and the rug we bought will be the only things we’ll be able to afford from pottery barn sadly.
Morgan @ Some Kind of Sunshine says
Yeah, Pinterest is basically a life changer when it comes to planning for anything…including home decor!
Love what you picked out. 🙂
Meghan N says
I totally agree with you, sparkling water goes down way faster for me than regular water. In fact, I am drinking Grapefruit Polar seltzer right now!
mmm LOVE salmon!
I have that pottery barn couch! I love their stuff, I get their catalog and love to flip through it.
Laura says
Do you ever shop at OneKingsLane.com? It’s basically the RueLaLa of household goods/decorations…so to sum up, it is FANTASTIC!
peanutbutterfingers says
NO! i need to check that out!
Katie @ Peace Love and Oats says
fro yo is good at any time, and in any quantity! I just don’t understand why the closest one to me doesn’t open until 11am… hmm.
chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says
Um, that is almost identical to what my living room looks like – minus the trunk because we have a huge ottoman we use as our “coffee table” – love the Pottery Barn look!!
Lauren @ What Lauren Likes says
Love pottery barn!! Definetly go crazy at the store haha

Shaya (Eye Girl Eats) says
I can’t WAIT to see your finished living room/ whole house 🙂 🙂 Espesh with all the new fun things you’ve purchased! Nice to know none of it will get covered in mouse poop 🙂
PS, why is Cap’n Crunch the best froyo topping ever?? it’s in my cup every time.
kathleen @ the daily crumb says
our main room furniture is all from pottery barn and, i have to tell you, it is such great quality. we have two dogs that no know boundaries and spend TONS of time on the couch… and it is no worse for the wear. everything cleans easily and is super durable! i imagine it will be fairly kid-proof as well 🙂
Jessica @ Sushi and Sit-Ups says
I did the same thing with our throw pillows on our couch! They’re pottery barn’s orange paisley pattern, and I’m kind of in love.
Lindsay@ In Sweetness and In Health says
Um, all of your eats look super delicious!! I’m jealous! And pottery barn is fabulous…I hope I’ll be able to afford it someday haha
Leigh says
I love Pottery Barn! I have a $100 card for there and I just can’t decide what I want to buy… I go in there and get overwhelmed because I like so many things that, rather than leaving with everything, I just leave with nothing lol.
Sana says
I always forget to order still water in Europe, no bubbles!!
Liz says
We have those pillows on our couch too! Good choice! 🙂
Ellie@fitforthesoul says
Oooo I’ve been in pottery barn once, but I should def. check it out again sometime! I love water just plain, but I also do love perrier or something of that sort b/c it helps with digestion! 😀 Where I grew up (argentina), we drank carb.water all the time. And we would mix it with apple juice, etc., and it tastes sooo delicious <3
Carissa says
I have been trying to avoid pinterest because I need to save money…haha…and time! But now I really want to redecorate things!
So jealous of the fro-yo. I only had it once this whole summer!
Danielle Spellman @ Squirrel Snackin' says
Your fro-yo and salmon dinner have me feeling pretty hungry right now! Yum! I’m also a fan of sparkling water. It always reminds me of Europe. 🙂
Emily says
I am obsessed with potter barn, too. They magazines always come in the mail and they are such a tease…I can’t imagine the day will ever come that I can afford them! I have a cousin who’s home is furnished like that and I am always in love with it when I go there 🙂
Ali @ Ali Runs says
I love Pinterest when it comes to home decorating! I have a whole board dedicated to future house style. I can’t wait until I can actually put it to use. 🙂
Brittany @ Itty Bits of Balance says
“Small froyo is better than no froyo”
Amen.
Anna @ Food Fitness and Frolicking says
Your dinner looks delicious!! Do you usually buy your produce from Publix or do you ever get it from a farmer’s market? It always looks so fresh, so I was just wondering!
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says
I, too, am Pottery Barn obsessed! I like your decor look! I’m sure it’ll turn out great.
Khushboo says
Haha Pottery Barn always reminds me of that Friends episode where Rachel & Pheobe don’t see eye to eye about it!
Claire says
Love PB too! Just be careful if you order furniture from them. All of my living room furniture is from there and I have to say it’s not the highest quality (even though the price might suggest otherwise). I also had a few problems with pieces being delivered broken and such…but they gave me a $300 gift certificate because of it so it wasn’t all that bad 🙂
peanutbutterfingers says
oh yikes! thanks for the head’s up!
Rosa - Fitness, Food, Fulfilled says
The living room is going to look awesome! I love the giant trunk as a coffee table. I’m normally a dark wood and black leather couch type of girl, but the earth tones look so cozy.
Cait's Plate says
I am SO beyond obsessed with Pottery Barn. My sister and I were just having this conversation the other day…like if we had all the money in the world, we would absolutely decorate our whole place from there. Haha. (Just don’t tell Phoebe Buffet)
Nicole W. says
I have 3 of those linen pillow covers with the button accent. I LOVE them! They are so soft. Did you go with the Pottery Barn inserts? If not, I highly recommend them. They are a super plush down and they are actually affordable. Bed, Bath and Beyond has inserts for around $10 but Pottery Barn’s are $12 and much better quality.
Michelle (The Runner's Plate) says
I agree that it would be awesome if sparkling water came out of the tap!
I have yet to try the strawberry banana Chobani. We *just* got the pineapple flavor, so it might be a while until we get other flavors. 🙁
Lorin says
Do you have a post about working at home and keeping focused while not boredom eating or other distractions?
peanutbutterfingers says
i don’t but i should write one!
Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga says
I love Pottery Barn but I love West Elm more. I have posted recently (again) about my love of their pieces and it’s what I’ve tried to do my house after.
With plenty of Pottery Barn and some Anthropologie inspiration thrown in. And lots of window shopping! and wishing 🙂
Your new place is going to be awesome!
Lauren says
Ah, Pottery Barn is such a dangerous store!!! Its such a good thing we don’t have one near by or else I’m pretty sure I would need a 12th job.
Katelyn@ Foodie Goes to School says
I’m OBSESSED with sparkling water! Trying to get off of the Diet Coke/Coke zero train obsession. 🙂 Sparkling water is so expensive though! Know any cheap brands/places to go?!
Clare says
Have you thought about getting a SodaStream or similar? One of my friends only likes sparkling water so bought one to save money (plus its more environmentally friendly – less plastic bottles!). You can get them fairly cheaply on the internet, I think.
Kelly says
I love Pottery Barn..I have those exact pillows (in red) on my couch too. They are awesome.
Jennifer - Somewhere In Between says
That Trunk from PB is gorgeous, too! It gives the room a sophisticated and vintage feel! I hope you enjoy the pillows – I am in need of an upgrade and completely forgot about PB til your post – thanks for the inspiration!!
Hope says
I love Pottery Barn! I really like that look in the picture. The pillows are so pretty and I like the rug that you purchased!
