I would say I don’t know why they don’t get more attention… but I do. It’s because they’re more than a dollar more per pound than green peppers! Blasphemy!
Still, sometimes the pretty peppers are worth the extra dough. I guess sometimes you just want to enjoy something bright orange in the middle of October!
Along with a sliced orange pepper, my lunch included a honey mustard chicken salad wrap.
I made the chicken salad by combining honey mustard with a sliced chicken breast. I placed the chicken on a bed of broccoli slaw before rollin’ it up and chowing down.
Good lunch!
Mighty Leaf Tea Giveaway
I know it may sound silly, but something about this cooler weather makes me feel warm inside.
Maybe it’s because I know the days of sweating five seconds after you step out the door are (mostly) gone, or maybe it’s because I know that with cooler weather comes the holiday season. Whatever it is, I’m loving the comfy, cozy feeling of fall.
Along with big sweaters and fuzzy boots, a hot mug of tea enjoyed this time of year takes me to a place of warmth and comfort. When I was contacted by Mighty Leaf to try a sample of the company’s fall teas, I was more than game.
I was already a fan of the company’s chocolate mint truffle tea (I bought it at Whole Foods and blogged about it last October), so I was excited to try new flavors.
The first one up to bat? Vanilla bean!
I enjoyed a hot mug of this tea with my lunch today and it was tasty and warmed my insides right up!
Now it’s your turn to try!
Mighty Leaf is offering one reader the following items:
- 1 box Bombay Chai
- 1 box Rainforest Mate
- 1 Box Chocolate Mint Truffle

My favourite type of tea is oolong. Specifically the creamy nut oolong from teaopia 🙂
Peppermint tea is always delicious!
Mint Yerba Mate or Lapsang Souchong (if you don’t mind the whole campground smell)
I love mixing mate with a white chai from Teaopia! Mate is so energizing and the chai has a wonderful, complex flavor.
Peppermint tea mixed with a dash of vanilla extract and a vanilla poppy seed scone on the side! Perfect morning drink that compliments a perfect light breakfast or midnight snack!
I love chai tea!
I wish the red, orange, and yellow peppers were as cheap as the green ones! Did you know that the green ones are just unripe versions of the others? I’ve read that in a few articles… I don’t get why they are so much cheaper!
Those teas sound amazing! I will have to look for them the next time I’m at the store!
Oops! forgot to put my favorite kind!!! In the morning my favorite is green tea, in the afternoon it’s chai tea!
english breakfast!
My favorite tea is yerba mate or vanilla caramel black tea!
lady grey tea!
I love, love, love a nice cup of green tea. I enjoy the versitility of it. I can make it hot, or enjoy it iced, and I can add honey, cream or sweetner. The best part is that it is a great alternative to coffee, and is known to be quite the metabolism booster. It’s my favorite!
Favorite tea is chai latte flavor. Brew a very strong cup and mix with equal parts coffee, deelish!!!
spiced chai! I love the warm spice and its perfect for this chilly pacific northwest weather!
Chai tea!
My favorite tea is Maple tea but I’m currently in love with violet black tea by Kusmi Tea!
I have been in a ginger mood lately — which has definitely made it into my tea choices — loving the Lemon Ginger green tea by Yogi Tea.
Peppermint! oooh baby!
My favorite type of tea is plain green. Its so simple and lovely. However I am a tea addict and also enjoy black, oolong, and white teas.
Gosh it’s hard to pick just one, I love tea!! I guess I would go with chai tea!!!
I love Tazo Awake for my daily cup with milk and no sugar. I also enjoy chai tea when I want something sweet. I’ve had some of the Mighty Leaf teas before, but am game to try more. I like the ones I’ve tried. I haven’t seen the brand in my local grocery store though.
I love just plain black English breakfast tea and acai green tea by Revolution teas. It smells great !
I love jasmine dragon pearl tea. YUM. I drink a lot of tea, and I need to get more from Mighty Leaf. I forget about them unfortunately!
During the warmer months Tazo’s Passion is my fave…But this time of year vanilla rooibos is probably my fave, with some milk and a little cinnamon 🙂 mmmmm
Stash brand makes this WONderful decaf pumpkin spice tea — perfect for this time of year! It is deliciously cinnamonny and nutmeggy. I think you’d dig it, what with your fall pumpkin kick! 😉
That’s a hard one because I love tea in general: green, earl grey, lemon ginger, chai, and mint!
Would have to be a tie between English Toffee and Double Spiced Chia. And because I just thought about it, I need to go get myself a cup!
My favorite tea is Peppermint. It just reminds me of the holidays and makes me all warm and fuzzy inside!!!!
chai tea or peppermint tea… it’s a tie!
English breakfast!
My favorite tea is general green tea with loads of honey. I’ve heard so many great things about honey and its benefits. Also, green tea makes me feel strong and powerful!
I love, love, love green tea with a little lemon. I have a cup every morning at work.
i love chai tea… with steamed soymilk, yum!
I love Chai and Vanilla teas but I will always have a special place for peppermint tea.
I am loving Pumpkin Spice tea right now! And green tea will always be one of my favorites!
Tea with any “fruity” flavor is my (summertime) favorite. Spiced apple in the fall & winter……
I love to combine tea bags for a ‘custom’ tea. Decaf green tea with peppermint is a fave, English breakfast with cinnamon apple is a close runner up. Delish!
yummy! i actually just saw this in the store this morning. my current fave is gingerbread spice by celestial seasonings!
My favorite cuppa tea would have to be chai! Mmmmmmm. Smooth, and keep me warm!
I love chai tea as well. Or the sugar cookie sleigh ride that comes out in the holiday season.
Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Herbal Tea!!
A little but of sweetener and a piping hot cup make for a WONDERFUL afternoon tea!
My favorite is a tie between Earl Grey with honey and Peppermint with Sugar. We drink SO much tea at home in the winter; it just makes you feel so warm and cozy!
My all time favorite is Black tea, just plain. Then peppermint. But most recently i have been into Chai teas. I have a really yummy vanilla chai tea and it is so awesome!
I love chai tea! So full of spices, yum!
I love Green Tea it really clears my head and gives me an energy boost!
I am a fan of chai and the sugar cookie sleigh ride tea. I would love some more tea in my life for the fall. 🙂
I agree with Brianne! Chai tea with milk is cold weather perfection!
On a completely unrelated note, I have run on and off for about 3 or 4 years. Then, during my freshman year of college, I turned to the workout program Insanity. Now I’m a sophomore and have used Insanity somewhat regularly for about four months. I’m ready for a change, and you’ve inspired me to train for a half marathon in February. Any tips?! I’m nervous!!!
Yum, I love tea! I don’t think I have a favorite because it changes constantly, but I’m currently drinking Tulsa Tea Red Mango. It’s yummy!
I’m also been wondering, with all your talk of cool weather, teas, and sweaters, does it actually get cold in Florida? I thought it was warm all year round. Do you ever need a sweater? Just curious!
Have a great day!
vanilla chai with a splash of vanilla almond milk – mmmm so creamy!
Chamomile, right before bed!
Chai green tea with milk, it’s how I always start my day 🙂
