I would say I don’t know why they don’t get more attention… but I do. It’s because they’re more than a dollar more per pound than green peppers! Blasphemy!
Still, sometimes the pretty peppers are worth the extra dough. I guess sometimes you just want to enjoy something bright orange in the middle of October!
Along with a sliced orange pepper, my lunch included a honey mustard chicken salad wrap.
I made the chicken salad by combining honey mustard with a sliced chicken breast. I placed the chicken on a bed of broccoli slaw before rollin’ it up and chowing down.
Good lunch!
Mighty Leaf Tea Giveaway
I know it may sound silly, but something about this cooler weather makes me feel warm inside.
Maybe it’s because I know the days of sweating five seconds after you step out the door are (mostly) gone, or maybe it’s because I know that with cooler weather comes the holiday season. Whatever it is, I’m loving the comfy, cozy feeling of fall.
Along with big sweaters and fuzzy boots, a hot mug of tea enjoyed this time of year takes me to a place of warmth and comfort. When I was contacted by Mighty Leaf to try a sample of the company’s fall teas, I was more than game.
I was already a fan of the company’s chocolate mint truffle tea (I bought it at Whole Foods and blogged about it last October), so I was excited to try new flavors.
The first one up to bat? Vanilla bean!
I enjoyed a hot mug of this tea with my lunch today and it was tasty and warmed my insides right up!
Now it’s your turn to try!
Mighty Leaf is offering one reader the following items:
- 1 box Bombay Chai
- 1 box Rainforest Mate
- 1 Box Chocolate Mint Truffle
- 1 Box Matcha Green Tea
- 1 Tea Top Brew Mug (pictured below) or 1 Mighty Leaf Ceramic Mug
To enter this giveaway, simply comment on this post by telling me your favorite kind of tea.
I will randomly select and announce a winner tomorrow afternoon.
Good luck! 😀
Green Tea! I love it hot or iced 🙂
Ever since I got back from London I enjoy a mild Earl Grey or Breakfast Blend with milk and sugar. It’s a timeless classic!
I’m quite partial to Tazo’s vanilla rooibos tea. Delicious stuff. (Love your blog — thanks for being a daily source of fun!)
I love orange flavored teas! Also, your bell pepper picture makes me want one really badly…
apple cinnamon tea…. it just warms me up!
i’m actually wondering what does chocolate tea taste like…. sounds interesting. haha
I love the Tazo Green Tea. It has a hint of mint and is so good!!
I am typically a coffee drinker, but I am all for tea when I’m feeling like I need a little detox. Yogi raspberry tea for liver and intestinal health makes me feel like I’m doing my body some good, but is so tart and delicious, too!
oh im a tea fiend! i love peppermint tea..especially during the holidays 🙂
I love pomegranate white tea – I get it at Trader Joe’s, and it’s so refreshing!
I love coconut mango oolong tea in the winter. I always keep a stash in my desk!
oooh that sounds fantastic!
I’m not sure if I can pick just one! I’ll say Chai or Roobios in the morning and something minty at night!
I’ve got to go with either regular old green tea or Good Earth. Have you ever had that stuff? Delicious!!
I adore MateVana tea from Teavana. Taste just like chocolate with a nice caffeine kick in the afternoon to beat the sweet tooth cravings around 3:00pm.
I love chamomile tea! Helps me relax and the flavor is delightful.
Love vanilla chai! yum!!
mmm, i love tea! the best tea i’ve ever had was from a store called teavana. you are able to mix and match teas so i opted for the store recommended blend for that day – white ayurvedic chai with samurai chai mate. so amazing!
I really, really like Sleepytime Tea (Extra). It really knocks me out at night (yay, Valerian!), and as I sometimes suffer insomnia, that’s very helpful. Plus, I don’t need to put anything in it. Mmm.
I like simple black tea (boring, I know) but every once in a while, I mix it up and drink something more exotic. Like mango black tea 🙂
after being shocked at the nutrition stats for chai tea lattes at starbucks, i love to make my own chai with light vanilla soy milk and stevia and save the pricey lattes from sbux for special occasion treats!
Love the classic Earl Gray tea. comforting and it warms me up!
I love chai the best! Plus I just broke the top to my travel mug so that would be perfect.
i like any loose leaf tea. preferably with chocolate!
mmm I would have to say ‘bengal spice’ from celestial seasonings. my dad would always drink it EVERY night- and still does- but it always makes me think of him 🙂
Anything vanilla, blueberry, or plum flavored are the best! No milk or sugar, just as is.
🙂
I love the gingerbread tea from celestial seasonings in the winter, but also can’t go wrong with good old Earl Gray!
My favorite is Blood Orange Black Tea. I get it from a local tea / coffee shop in Pittsburgh.
so hard to pick a favorite tea…but i usually like green tea. and the rooibos peach tea from teavana is one of my favorites, too.
i’ve really enjoyed your blog! it’s my break during the day and always brightens my day a little. your cheery attitude is always nice!
Peppermint tea! I drank it pretty much everyday while I studied abroad in Australia. Now everytime I drink it I am reminded of the great times I had there and how much I’d like to visit again.
I love all tea! Lately I have been brewing a green tea bag and a fruit tea bag together…so good!
I love Darjeeling tea. I haven’t had it in forever though! Must buy some.
I have a love affair with tea, whether it’s iced or hot. One of my favorites is definitely a black tea called Barry’s. It’s a favorite in Ireland, and once I enjoyed it over there I definitely had to have it here 🙂 Good thing they sell it all over. Did you know Ireland has the most tea drinkers? Take my word for it, they know their tea!
I love straight up black tea – earl grey or english breakfast. It reminds me of my mom who drinks 10 cups of tea each day, using a new cup each and every time. What happens to the used cups, you ask? They are left all over her house!
mmm I think mint or green tea is my favorite. I’ve been obsessed with hot tea since it started to get cold 🙂
I would LOVE to try some Mighty Leaf tea too… I’m super excited about fall & perfect hot tea-drinking weather. I’m a fairly new tea drinker, so I have only tried a few. Ginger Snappish & Sleepytime teas are my favorites so far. Pick me, pick me to try these teas! 🙂
I love anything with mint! The chocolate mint truffle sounds amazing 🙂
I’m trying to find a good tea that I fall in love with. I usually opt for something fally- cinnamon apple? Delish.
I love Irish tea =)
lemon herbal tea – sweet but not too sweet
I’m usually a sucker for black teas, so I would say my favourite is Chai. But lately, I’m loving mint tea. It’s always so refreshing and tastes great with a coconut cookie!
Vanilla tea!
Srawberry tea with a splash of milk!
Green tea for me! No sugar required. The mug is super cute. 😀
I heart all tea- so narrowing it down would be quite difficult. But I’d say what I tend to drink the most is just simple and plain unsweetened iced tea…
Vanilla CHAI tea!
I am a huge green chai tea fan and love to make my own lattes. Living in Chicago I have already broken into my stash numerous times since summer!
I love golden moon coconut pouchong tea!
I love apple cinnamon tea! Perfect for fall =)
I’m torn between two. There is my favourite go-to tea: orange pekoe with skim milk and splenda. Then there is the perfect special occassion tea: apple cinnamon!
Delish!
I would LOVE to try these – I went on vacation a few months ago and the hotel I stayed at had MIghty Leaf. I loved it so much I took the bags they left in the room home! (hey, they’re included with the room, right??) I normally drink any chai tea I can get my hands on.
I love earl grey lavender tea, but it’s hard to find. Great giveaway for us tea lovers!
