Last month’s Reebok shoe giveaway was so darn popular that I knew I wanted to feature another one on the blog this month. Since the new Reebok Nano 3.0s seem to be on the top of everyone’s mind at the moment, I reached out to Reebok about a giveaway centered around the new Nanos and they were kind enough to agree!
I actually purchased a pair of Reebok Nano 2.0s on my own before the new Nano 3.0 came out and the company sent me a pair to try before FitBloggin’. Reebok Nanos are my go-to workout shoe most days of the week, unless my workout involves lots of running. The shoe doesn’t have a lot of cushioning and since the midsole material is a flattened platform, it’s thinner which allows your foot to lay flatter and closer to the ground. This increases your stability, making it ideal for functional workouts like CrossFit.
Though Nanos are popular with the CrossFit crowd, I’m not an avid CrossFitter and I still love the Nanos for functional or boot camp-style workouts that I do on my own. I used to feel like I was a bit wobbly during certain exercises like lunges or speed skaters, but when I wear my Nanos, I honestly do feel a lot more stable and can tell a big difference. If you’ve only ever done squats and lunges in traditional running shoes, I think you’ll immediately love the Nanos. The difference in stability is huge!
Plus, the wider toe box makes them super comfortable for days when I am just walking around the gym training clients.
So what’s the deal with the new Nanos?
According to Reebok, the updated shoe has more flexibility and protection to the outsole with Metasplit grooves and RopePro wraps on the medial and lateral sides. Additional highlights include:
- 360° PU Cast for lightweight, seamless, engineered support and durability
- ETC anti-friction lining to reduce abrasion and heat build up with breathable air mesh
- Dual Density for rearfoot stability and impact protection
- Die Cut Ortholite sockliner
- RCF Natural last enables full foot dispersion for greatest stability with Medial/Lateral Rope Guard and multi-directional outsole splay zone
- 4mm heel to toe drop
Are you ready to win a pair of your own?

I do a lot of CrossFit style training at my gym and never knew I was using running shoes the entire time. I always just wear the same pair since it’s all I have, but after reading this, can definitely see how specific shoes can make all the difference. I’m on a weight loss track to lose 10 more lbs, so gym time has definitely increased and these shoes could be an amazing help!! 🙂

I’d love to win because I haven’t bough myself new running shoes in 3 years! My last ones were a Christmas present and they were great for many months, but once they started to wear down, I lost motivation to go running. Maybe a new pair will help me get it back 🙂
Kelly says
I love how you listed all of the specs on these! I am a runner (and have my favorite running shoes) but recently joined the world of weightlifting and functional workouts! I have been really unstable in some of the exercises, and now I know why – my running shoes aren’t built for cross training stability! I would love to win these and hopefully continue to grow my love affair with functional training and weight training.

These shoes sound amazing! I just started taking a CrossFit styled class at my gym and have definitely felt a bit wobbly. LOL , lets blame my running shoes instead my lack of coordination 🙂
Anyway, I love your blog. Please keep posting. You are a great motivation for me to continue on amy path to healthy living. So many other blogs focus on extreme calorie reductions and crazy exercise regimes and I appreciate that you keep it “real.”
So, thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge/experience/ life with us.

I’ve heard the nanos are great! I’d love to win a pair and here is why: when I was a little girl, my mother (who, by the way, is wonderfully supportive and encouraging in every aspect of my life) noticed that I was interested in ballet. As a tall little 4-year-old, she enrolled me in ballet classes but noticed that I didn’t stay on my feet all the time. I was so clumsy, in fact, that I persistently had bruises over my legs at all times. As such, she gave me an additional middle name – “Grace”. Stability was not my thing growing up, I’ve gotten better since then, but sure would appreciate a pair of nanos to help me as I have just started crossfit. Just like my mom sweetly pointed out to me – we all have flaws or areas where we aren’t the best, but that doesn’t mean it has to ruin us, we just identify it and work with it!
Jordyn says

Please!! I could use a good crossfit shoe. I started working out and use my old New Balance running shoes which slip and are uncomfortable doing my workouts. I am also recovering from a knee and tib/fib injury and the stability and flexibility of the Nanos sounds like they would be perfect. Please, pretty please. Thanks
Melissa says
Ahh what a great giveaway! I am an avid crossfitter and I’m in need of a new pair of Nano’s (I have the 2.0’s). I’m also having issues with tendinitis in my foot and I need something with good support for all things running, box jumps and double unders.

I always have trouble finding running/training shoes that will be flexible enough to run with my orthopedic inserts. I feel like such a dork when I have to bring them to the store to try on! Either my foot feels jammed inside the shoes, or the shoes that don’t feel cramped are too stiff to move adequately. I love running and switching up my workouts, I just wish I could find a comfortable shoe to complete with my crazy feet! I’ll have to check these out. Thanks!
