My relationship with running, on the other hand, is slightly more tumultuous. (You may read my running story here.) Like my girl Alicia Keys says, “Iiii keep on fallin’, in and out, of love, with a-you!”
When I fall out of love with running, I find it best to just take some time away from it and slowly but surely my desire to run returns.
After a few weeks off of running, this morning I awoke with the desire to run and leashed up Sadie for a nice 5-mile loop. It felt good to be outside in the crisp morning air and, with the help of my rockin’ new playlist, the run flew by!
Breakfast
After our run was complete, it was breakfast time!
I headed into the kitchen to make my favorite breakfast bagelwich and popped a cinnamon raisin bagel thin topped with a slice of muenster cheese into the toaster oven while I sliced up a nectarine.
After smearing one side of the bagel thin with raspberry jelly, my bagelwich was ready!
Why is cheese so darn delicious?
I also prepared a tumbler full of Yogi throat soothing tea to sip along with my breakfast because I’ve woken up with a bit of a sore throat for the past few days. The healing power of tea doesn’t mess around!
HEAL! 😀
Time to work!

How do you slice your nectarines so nicely? I’m completely inept when it comes to slicing stone fruit :/

I found my passion for running back in college, and I have to say, i never have really *not* liked it since then. (I used to HATE it in HS and thought it was torture.. but that might also have been due to the fact that I had/have exercise induced asthma). I think a big part of the reason why i haven’t fallen out of love with running is because I take it sllllllooowwww! I never push myself hard, I settle in at a pace that my body feels is “natural” and just let my legs take me. Usually this is around a 12minute mile (not even kidding!) and that is why I find it so relaxing… a place and time for my mind to just wander. And i can go for a really long time because it’s not that hard to keep that pace! Heck, I could probably powerwalk ever faster.

I’m pretty sure you have the jelly and cheese market cornered. You won that…hands down. Get a trademark.
Need to try that next time I’m up for some cheese.
