Sadie made a new friend today.
At around 9:30 a.m., the FedEx guy dropped off a package from the National Peanut Board that included this little character:
Cute, huh?
Someone else thought so, too.
He quickly became Sadie’s captive.
I held up the stuffed peanut guy to show Sadie his cute little peanutty body and she jumped up, took him from the safety of my grasp and brought him into another room where the two of them got properly acquainted.
Needless to say, my time with the little stuffed peanut didn’t last very long, but he found a very loving, extremely physical best buddy in Sadie.
Yes, I think they’ll get along juuuust fine.
Lunch
My package from the National Peanut Board was stuffed with peanuts and peanut butter and I’ve been eating peanut butter fingers like they’re going out of style today.
My two victims included these two jars of wonderful:
Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple and Sunland Natural Peanut Butter Creamy Chocolate Spread.
My taste buds are in heaven.
Even though I couldn’t keep my fingers out of these jars this morning, I still wanted to include both peanut butters in my lunch and toasted a honey wheat bagel before topping each half with a different peanut butter.
I added a little color to the meal in the form of a sliced pear and lil’ tomatoes.
And now because it’s Friday and we all could use a little more laughter in our lives on Friday, I must share the following links with you guys that I’ve seen throughout the week that made me laugh:
Have a GREAT weekend!
I think Sadie should have a section on your blog entitled “Peanut Butter Paws” 🙂
haha whenever we give our dogs stuffed toys, they are ripped up in no time. it’s too funny to watch them.
love your lunch!! i had peanut butter on a bagel this morning for breakfast!
haha sadie’s so cute.
those flavored pb kill me!! i love might maple…and every other flavor pb and co. makes..dark choc dreams is ridiculous.
If you like whatshouldwecallme you will also enjoy http://howdoiputthisgently.tumblr.com/ . they’re very similar but equally hilarious (and sadly mostly true :P)
Thanks for sharing that! Too funny. 🙂
LOVE Pb and Co peanut butter.. and OMG – that dog texts link is freaking hilarious! If you’ve been to D.C. before, check out this blog, too – it’s so funny/relevant as a resident haha: http://whenindc.tumblr.com/
AAAAH PB & Co. is amazing! Best combo ever = banana waffle + dark chocolate peanut butter from PB&Co + sliced bananas on top. Seriously, you have to try it!
Aww Sadie just wants to be friends with everybody … human and … not-human. 😉
Jealous of all of that peanut butter! I’ve just been stealing the little packets from the hotel for the last 2 months haha!! 😉
ommmgnesss!!!!!! your lunch looks so goood! Send me some over, please? 🙂 And poor peanut guy! lol
Sadies captions really make me laugh!
PB&Co. is my favorite. I currently have a jar of Dark Chocolate Dreams in my pantry that I’m trying not to plow through in one sitting. I made oatmeal PB cookies with it the other day—they were so freaking good!
The dog texts are funny but vulgar! I always wonder what my dogs think though. Dogs are the best!
There’s a National Peanut Butter Board?!?!?!
Those peanut butters look incredible! Peanut butter in Ireland isn’t so runny, I need me some more runny spreadable PB!
YES! I have been obsessed lately with what should we call me. So funny!
Aaaagh just spent faaaar too much time on What Should We Call Me!
Hmmm nothing better than a pb sandwich for lunch! Happy Friday, Julie!
Hahaha I love that sadie has claimed the toy as her new friend! She is too adorable
haaaaahaha wait the 50 people you wish you knew is so funny. I love the “what should we call me?” saw that the other day. I was going to tweet you about the RueLaLa yoga mats then I saw you wrote about it already, did you get one??
How is the mightly maple????!!!!! I’ve only seen it in stores once (and it was during a period of zero self control around PB so I skipped it). I’m dying to try it!
Haha….I saw those Texts from my Dog earlier in the week and my whole family thought it was hilarious. Have a great weekend!
Texts from my dog made my day. Thanks 🙂
oh sadie! she looks so satisfied.
im not gonna lie, when I saw the title of the post in my Twitter feed i got extra excited for a second like you got another Vizsla or maybe a German Shorthair friend for ms Sadie 🙂
Ah! #47 on the 50 people you want to know list goes to my school! (The University of Alabama) He is pretty famous–We call that “the face.”
MMMM! I looooove Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple!!! All their different kinds are SO good too!!!
I hope Sadie’s new friend is still alive – Teddy probably would have ripped out its insides by now!
Haha! LOVE whatshouldwecallme! Another one that’s just like it is mylifeasakitten.tumblr.com
Note to self: Don’t click on links that proclaim to make you laugh while your students are taking an exam…. You may make awkward faces trying not to laugh at the front of the classroom…
I’m not kidding, after reading those links im literally crying from laughing at my desk at work right now.
what bagels do you buy? they look so good!
I have been dying to try that maple pb forever but can’t find it anywhere. It taunts me.
So I just had to mention that the Sunland peanut butter is made where I live in New Mexico!!! They have a plant and have peanuts and peanut butters and all sorts of things.
I was so excited to see this on your page 🙂
The 50 people you wish you knew made me ACTUALLY laugh out loud. about 50 times.
I laughed out loud sooo hard with the text from your dog. Omg the first one about the cape got me. Hahaha
For Christmas, my husband got a gingerbread-man shaped oven mitt from one of his coworkers. I put it on my hand like a puppet and suddenly, our terrier was obsessed with it. “Gingey” — as we call him — is her fav toy now. He’s never seen the inside of the oven.
Julie,
I just wanted to thank you for being so inspirational to me! Let me explain…I have had a facebook group for some of my girlfriends for a while where I shared nutrition tips, snack ideas, and running tips, but that was as far as I was planning on taking it. I started reading your blog (and love it!), and decided that it was time to take my growing facebook group to a new level- so I created my blog. It’s nothing big yet, and it’s in that changing-all-the-time stage, but I just wanted to thank you for all of your blog start up tips and tricks! It’s definitely made my process a lot easier. However, I never would have done it without you-so thank you! It’s been so much fun. 🙂
PS If you want to check it out, it’s http://www.runningchickago.com! 🙂
Yum! A package full of peanut butter sounds like perfection!
Why oh why canada must you have no flavoured peanut butters. So sad. Sadie is just the cutest ever.
Most of my office left like 3 hours ago.. and I am dying laughing hahaha thanks for the links!
ooh I love the mighty maple pb!!!! and someone sent me texts from my dog while i was in class today – so hard not to laugh!
I had dolls that were peanut butter and jelly when I was little I loved! I still have jelly.
I used to live near Sandwich Illinois!! (from the 50 things list) We went to movies in their town all the time since the theater there didn’t card for R rated movies…
Hooooold on. How does one go about getting a package from the National Peanut Board?!?! That sounds like a package I would be ALL over.
Found your site searching for a Michael Kors Fushia dress and so glad i did! I laughed so much with the 50 people you wish you knew. Thank you for a great start to my Friday!
Sadie is too cute and I just love the captions! 🙂 Now I want peanut butter!
Mighty maple is my absolute FAV from peanut butter and co. just can’t get enough!
i recommend nightly maple on pancakes!!
That is just so darned cute. Love Sadie posts! And that flavored peanut butter IS in Canada… at Walmart.
Love the texts from my dog. I can totally relate to the “Crisps” one.
I’ve never seen that Sunland peanut butter, but it looks tasty! I’ll have to see where you can buy that…
Liz- The Sunland peanut butter is made in my hometown,a tiny town in New Mexico! If you click on the link provided by Julie it takes you to their website where I’m pretty sure you can place orders! 🙂 they have some awesome flavors, for banana lovers I highly recommend the banana pb. Its so so good!
It often buggs me that I’m allergic to peanuts but when I see your tasty pictures it drives me crazy! Happy Sadie found a new friend, they seem like a good match!
