Salads are better when…
- Someone else makes them for you
- They include at least four toppings
- They are colorful and vibrant
- The lettuce is hard to find underneath all the toppings
- They are BIG
Can you guess what I had for lunch today?
Around noon today, I took a break for a date with Ryan. We met up a Crisper’s for lunch!
I ordered the signature southwest salad that included tons of veggies and chicken.
My favorite salad topping was the roasted corn. It was seasoned with some lovely spices and I was quite a fan.
Since Ryan and I have a tendency to inhale our food, we hung out at Crisper’s for a bit once we were done eating, discussing plans for this weekend and cars.
Cars?
Car Talk
I’m not really a car person. I would’ve driven my teal 1994 Toyota Corolla forever if I could have which makes me a very boring person to talk to about “awesome cars.”
I think I surprised Ryan when I told him I saw a car I liked while on my morning walk with Sadie.
Check out this beauty.
Not too shabby, huh? I thought it looked awfully classy. I’m pretty sure that kind of class comes with quite a hefty price tag as well.
Plus, it reminds me a lot of the other fancy car I think is pretty cool.
The other two cars I like?
Smart car!
And the Toyota Prius.
Ryan said he wants me to drive a monster truck so I don’t get hurt since he worries about my driving abilities.
I say, nonsense!
But he could probably talk me into driving this beast…
Maybe not.
Question of the Afternoon
- What is your dream car?
- Do you like cars or is car talk lost on you?
When I was growing up I dreamed of owning a red Mitsubishi Eclipse! Now I don’t really have a dream car. I’m so boring.
Oh I love cars!! Haha, my dad and brother are way too into them for me not to….if I didn’t they’d disown me. My dream car is probably a BMW M3 convertible. Too bad it’s not going to happen any time in the next few decades…
I totally wanted to buy a smart car and when I told my mom told me she said absolutely not haha. Prius was actually my next choice (I drove so much for work), but they are still pricey so I ended up with a new Hyundai Elantra which looks pretty sharp, was affordable and gets pretty good gas mileage. I’m a fan of it 🙂
I’m actually in the process of starting the process of researching my next car. It’ll be my first car I buy (my parents bought me my current one 11 years ago) and I was looking at the Hyundai Sonata. 🙂 As long as the car is reliable and safe, that’s all I care about. However, I would love a white one with tan interior. 😉
My bf makes fun of me when I say that I drive my dream car… but it’s true and it’s a Toyota Prius! I am seriously in love with it, still after 5 years. It’s cute and girly, sooo surprisingly roomy, and rarely getting gas is a serious perk! If you seriously consider it and have any questions, let me know!
My dream car when I was younger was an Eclipse, too! The Eclipse Spyder to be exact 😉 The cars I really want right now are the BMW 328xdrive and Audi Q5…in my dreams haha
I’m the same way. I could care less about cars! My next car will be an SUV though since my fiance hates his truck and wants a car. We need one larger car for house stuff and by then probably kid stuff!
Pink Hummer is hilarious!! Umm please please watch this video…. I think it’s the funniest new car commercial out there!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTA2CE8_KLk
I like my car. I totaled my car back in June and managed to buy almost the exact same thing, only newer! A VW Golf TDI. Diesel gets anywhere from 42-50 MPH. Worth looking into .
The Kidless Kronicles
For the longest time I always wanted to buy my own car. In highschool my parents got me a jeep grand cherokee as a present and then I pretty much kept that for the longest time. My dream car has always been a Lexus suv. So this March, I finally was able to buy my own car and I got the lexus RX450 hybrid and I have never been happier or more proud of myself! I’m already thinking about the next goal car hahaha
I’m not a “car person” but then again I don’t really like driving. It’s something I have to do every day, but if I lived somewhere with accessible, safe public transportation I would definitely use it instead. My car gets me from point A to point B, it doesn’t make any sort of statement.
My hubby is a MAJOR car guy (used to rebuild muscle cars, now works for Audi). I’m not a car person either but I do know a thing of beauty when I see/drive it. And holy moly, Audi makes a great car. Plus my hubby (who is VERY educated and knows his car stuff) educates me on things I never EVER knew…it’s fascinating. My DREAM car would either be the A3, A8, or Q5…if we’re just narrowing it down. And Audi doesn’t know me from anyone. I just really think they make fantastic automobiles.
I want a lexus IS 250 so badly I can taste it. But I have a hard time parting with my trusty Honda Civic that is PAID OFF! Everytime I think about getting another car I remember how much I love having that extra cash each month. Now if money really were no option I would totally go for a Mercedes. Love Love Love.
I was totally set on getting the white soft top Jeep from Clueless until I was about 16, haha.
Not into cars, but am very distracted my how yummy that salad looks! 🙂 Werid becauseI just ate. ha!
Cars bore me, too. I just bought a new one, but I was more focused on things like gas mileage, etc. I love my purchase, but it’s definitely not anything to brag about ; )
Hahahha that pink hummer is hilarious! I’m not a huge car person, but I really like the new volvo suv. If only I had the cash…
I have a Honda Fit (looks just like the prius in your picture there), and I just LOVE it! I agree with you, the Jag is pretty darn classy. My dream car would be the Audi SUV (I don’t know what they are all called) or an all-black *murdered out* Mercedes Benz. HAHA.
I am not really a huge car person but I LOVE my current car. It is a black Mercedes CLS 550. I think it is so sexy!! (lol.. I am a dork) But I am thinking about having another child and if I do I will have to get something bigger. Boo!! Considering either a Porsche Cayenne or Range Rover. I also saw a Jag I liked the other day but I don’t know what kind it was.
Agreed the more toppings the better!!! My dream car is a raspberry escalade or range rover!! But I would also take the brand new jeep Cherokee… So pretty! Other than talking about models and styles of cars…car talk is useless to me hahaha
too funny! i am actually not a car person at all. as long as it drives and won’t break down on me, it’s good to go! i do feel safer in an SUV and something higher off the ground though
Eek, no Prius. Sorry, but everyone who has one cannot drive, drives way too slow, or something else! I would say I am not a car person, but I do like to talk cars because you can always learn something new! I would love an Acura, but in time I want my Corvette baby! Sigh…someday!
car talk is completely lost on me… All i know is that I want a small SUV. Although I LOVE driving pick up trucks! Just a pain to park…
Car talk is definitely lost on me haha. At the moment, I’m just looking forward to getting my current car fixed! A huge piece of tire tread from a semi-truck messed up the front of my car a couple of weeks ago. My poor little Honda Civic looks so sad! 😉
No really, why are salads always better when someone else makes them?? I am definitely not a car person and I am very happy with my old Honda Accord. My Mom has a Prius and I love it and would definitely get one in the future.
Random I know… but have you ever noticed that 99.9% of the comments on your posts include either exclamation points or smiley faces?
I have a 4Runner and I love it, although I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s way too big a car for a single girl. My next car will probably be something smaller.
I’ve wanted a Mazda3 for the longest time. Their TV ads sold me I don’t even know, probably like 5 years ago or so. It was a really long time ago. And they’re pretty good cars, too, so win win!
my mom drives a jaguar and it’s so cute! But I’m so content with my car (a mini cooper) it’s perfect for me. 🙂
My boyfriend gets super excited when I say I like a car too! I don’t know the name of anything I like though, they’re usually big, black, sporty-looking SUVs though. For now I’ll continue walking everywhere 🙂
I agree with all your salad points! I’m not really a car person…my dream car would probably be a soccer mom SUV. I just love them! My fiance watches Top Gear on BBC all the time, and all the car talk just goes over my head.
I agree! I went out for lunch today too and had a salad that was definitely up to par. It needs to have at least 8 ingredients for it to make it on my list. 🙂
I’m really getting into the Hyundai’s lately, especially the Sonata. Or the Ford Fusion. We’re big on being efficient when it comes to gas consumption. And the Sonata is so pretty. 🙂
I’ve always wanted a nice convertible!
My husband owns a used car dealership so we talk about cars all.the.time. He keeps telling me I’m driving mine untll 250K but all I want is a small SUV that I can put the dog in. My dream car is either an Acura MDX or a Lexus RX. Nothing too crazy 😉
It’s kinda funny but I hate making salads for myself- I think they’re so much better when I buy them somewhere!
Is there any special reason you like the Prius and not the Insight? I have an Insight, and I LOVE it!
I love my truck too! It has so many problems such as; no AC, a beast to park, and is just plain old. I won’t tell it that though because I love it so much 😉
Those are beautiful cars though! If I could afford one I would probably buy one haha.
My dream car is a mini Cooper. They’re so foreign and cute. I can soo imagine myself driving it around like Italy or Germany. haha. 🙂 But I also love the Chevy Camaro, especially red ones!!!
That’s so funny! My first car was a red Eclipse. It was a 1993 with a black top – so hot! But I longed for one of the ones with the ridges on the side – circa 2003. Ah, memories.
I LOVE cars! 🙂 I used to flip through my grandpa’s Car and Driver magazines all the time when I was little. I always remember having quite the eye for all of the foreign cars as a child. If I could choose a dream car right now it would be something either red or white and fast…like a Porsche! I can’t wait to get rid of my “green machine”. I’ve had it since I was 15!
I never had a dream car and then after college I decided to go non-practical and bought a MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE! I love it! In fact, I think I always will own a convertible….and I live in MN! 🙂
First off i LOVE LOVE LOVE Modern Family, secondly: an eclipse was my favorite car that I wanted to own in high school too! I though they were awesome!
ill let you borrow my smartcar but you have to be careful… that plastic box is worth alot. like $73.
Cars are like a foreign language to me- as long as they look pretty, they’re a keeper….horse power whhaaat?? …and I realise how bimbo this comment sounds 🙂
I don’t feel safe about driving Toyota cars anymore… 🙁
I like Genesis from Hyundai. My father drives this one and it’s really good. Oh I like Mini Cooper too!
My fiance drives the jaguar xf (the first car pic)…and I drive a volvo 🙂 I love my little volvo and wouldn’t trade it for his fancy jag for anything. Must be a guy thing! I would rather buy a really cool bag than an expensive car!
I drive a Honda Accord & I love it! It’s the second one in a row I’ve had & I pretty much plan to always drive them. I also like the Suburu Outback & a few of the BMW sedans. I don’t think I have a ‘dream car’, since I like the Accord so much 🙂
My first car was a 1981 Impala. Duel Exhasts, sounds system, window tint, Dubs….good stuff….then it met a pole, the pole won that battle….
And my pops has a 1957 Chevy Bel Air, 454cc motor, 500 horsepower….(Tim Allens Grunts from Home Improvement are needed here)
You should look at some mid sized SUVs! They get you up higher off the ground, room for the pup, and if a wreck should happen, you would be pretty protected…the smart car…boo…you hit one of those toads..boom the smart car is demolished.
I loved my 95 Corolla so much… I bought a 2005 Corolla. 🙂
I am currently driving my dream car – it’s a Hummer! Black though, not pink. Lol.
It was my Christmas present from my husband last year (we needed the tax deduction) and I LOVE it. It’s not that big really (the H3) and it’s nice to have a reliable truck for our harsh Colorado winters.
