Shop (Healthy!) ‘Til You Drop

February 16, 2011 by Julie 930 Comments

Approximately two weeks ago, I received a package in the mail from iHerb.com. I was contacted by the company and offered a $50 shopping spree on their site and jumped at the chance  to stock up on some goodies I was dying to try…

Like chia seeds!

Chia for Mia!

And wheat berries!

Wheat Berry Bonanza

And coconut butter!

Artisana Coconut Butter

Ryan and I finished the entire jar of coconut butter in three days. We’re special. And it really is that delicious.

I loved perusing iHerb’s website because it’s a clean, no-frills website that offers a wide variety of brand-name natural products.

In the end, I nabbed the following for $50:

  • Nature’s Answer chia seeds
  • Bob’s Red Mill soft white wheat berries
  • Artisana coconut butter
  • Kashi TLC Honey Toasted 7-Grain bars
  • Now Foods Pistachios
  • Nurture Inc. Strawberry Puffs
  • 2 sample packets coconut butter (1 chocolate, 1 organic raw)

I can honestly say I loved every single product I selected! Seeing as how I received all of these goodies about two weeks ago and only the chia seeds and wheat berries remain, I’d say I liked ’em juuust fine.

And now for the best part of this post!

iHerb.com is offering one reader a $50 shopping spree of their own! Woo!

Now you can stock up on healthy goodies and we can talk about our shared love of chia seeds because I just know you’ll love ’em if you haven’t tried them yet.

To enter this giveaway, simply comment on this post telling me about one item you’d select as part of your shopping spree on iHerb.com if you won this giveaway.

I will randomly select a winner tomorrow afternoon. Good luck!

(P.S. The Fashion page was updated today!)

I'd love to connect with you! I am always so grateful when you let me know you tried one of my recipes or workouts and tag me in your photos or updates. Thank you so much!!!

I would get protein powder – I have never tried it, but everytime I see a recipe that uses it, I wish I had it. Or maybe chia seeds, because they’re very hard to get here and therefore super expensive.

Steel cut oats. I can’t find them where I’m from (Cresson, PA aka the middle of nowhere) plus I’m a dirt poor college student, even if I could find them, they aren’t in my budget. I have a love affair with oatmeal and I’m dying to try these 😀

COCONUT BUTTER because I have been trying to decrease my intake of peanut butter…. Do not hate me…. I seriously finished a jar BY MYSELF in less than a week. My addiction has unfortunately increased my pant size. This must come to a halt ASAP. In my “fast” from the heavenly PB, I have been experimenting with different “toppings.” I would LOVE to try Coconut Butter. THANKS JULIE !!!!
