Hello from the cutest little coffee shop!
I absolutely adore cozy, local coffee shops and after stumbling upon Sippers Coffeehouse in Jacksonville thanks to the Yelp app on my phone a few months ago, I was anxious to visit again when I was in the area.
Sippers Coffeehouse is adorable inside. Lots of plush sofas and cozy reading nooks. I set up a little blogging station at one of the desks that reminded me a lot of the desks I used to use when I would study at the library in college.
Top secret study desk!
As I placed my order at the counter, I saw that they still had pumpkin flavored lattes available and ordered a pumpkin caramel latte with almond milk. (<—Hooray for almond milk!)
I know it’s not exactly seasonally appropriate, but considering the fact that I would drink The Fresh Market’s peppermint crème coffee year-round if it was available, I don’t follow seasonal flavor rules. Such a rebel.
Breakfast + BodyPump
Before I made my way to Sippers, I ate breakfast at home around 7 a.m. before heading out for a BodyPump class!
Breakfast this morning began with a cup of black cherry Greek yogurt with Cheerios and Marcona almonds and concluded with one of my funky looking green protein pancakes. (I didn’t add almond butter to the pancake batter because my parents didn’t have any and it was still delicious.)
After breakfast, I took Sadie on an express walk because it was raining outside and then drove to the gym for BodyPump. I know I sound like a broken record when it comes to that class, but I love it so darn much. One day I hope to live close to a gym that offers it so I can make it part of my regular routine again. I miss it way more than I should.
Now that I’ve said good morning to my favorite internet friends, it’s time for me to meet up with my family and knock out some wedding to-dos!
Have a fantastic Wednesday!
Sippers looks adorable. Study carrels in a coffee shop?! The librarian in me is in love! 🙂
I didn’t know that kind of desk has a fancy name! Fun!
What a cute cafe! Perfect for productivity 🙂
Excited to the wedding recap on Monday!
Cute coffee shop! Totally reminds me of the little desks at the library in college. Probably nice and private to get some work or studying done!
I’m a HUGE fan of cozy coffee shops as well! I love the atmosphere and everyone just seems more at peace and friendlier over a cup of coffee haha ;).
Pretty sure I still have half a container of pumpkin spice creamer in the fridge! You’ve sparked a craving!
I would drink Pumpkin Spice Coffee all year if I could. I stock up on the Green Mountain K cups at the end of the fall because I know I won’t see them again for a while!
I love those desks that feel like your own cozy space. I need to try these green pancakes asap.
I live in Jax and I almost went to Sippers this morning! Ha ha! Now I’m sorry I didn’t…
Aw that would’ve been fun!!
I love that little coffee shop! I wish I could go… but it’s a little far!
My friend has that same gym bag! Haha 🙂
It’s my favorite!!
It’s always fun to find a new favorite restaurant, pub, or coffee place.
Love cozy coffee shops! Always so much more inviting and warm feeling than Starbucks 🙂
As soon as I saw the picture of your nook at Sippers, I was instantly transported back to the UCF Library! Those little nooks were my favorite study places. Aah, memories!
cute! i love little local coffee shops!! there is a great one in st louis called deer creek cafe!
I’m with you on coffee shops! There is something about them that is so warming and inviting that you never want to leave.
have been joking with a friend that we need to co-author a petition at whitehouse.gov to have pumpkin made a year round flavor. i’m sure it would get the required signatures needed to require the gov to at least consider it 🙂
I love your pink gym bag who is it by?
Love that bag!
You could just move near me and take my BodyPump classes…..just sayin! 😉
Have fun with the wedding stuff–I can NOT wait to see a lllll the pictures!
Julie, I love your phone case! Can you tell us where you got that from? So cute.. have fun getting ready for the wedding 🙂
I drink Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice year round … dead cheap kcups on amazon! Am drinking one right now!!!
The coffee shop looks so cute, and I love that they have a working desk in there. I’d be there every day!!! It’s not exactly the norm to sit around coffee shops here for hours, but since starting the blog in November, we’ve found a few that don’t mind our company=) I can only imagine if they had a desk at any of the shops here in Barbados…oh, the possibilities! Enjoy your Wednesday and good luck with the wedding planning!

I love finding cute little coffeehouses like that! I feel so much more productive and the extra caffeine always helps too. 😉 Looking forward to seeing some photos from your sister’s wedding!
all this excitement is making me miss my own wedding planning and specifically the wedding week. really the most amazing time!
Lol when I was in school, during finals week those carrels (in the libraries) were prime real estate. I used to see students bring pillows and blankets to sleep there so they wouldn’t have to give up their favorite spot.
Your day sounds so fun :). I totally get it re: Bodypump. I miss it so much too!!! Hope the wedding fun goes well :).
Ooooh, we’re heading to Jax in a few weeks and I’ll have to remember to stop there! I’m such a sucker for cute, local coffee shops. 🙂
I’d get so much more done if I had a cute space like that (with convenient access to good coffee as an added bonus!) to work in. Hope you’re enjoying wedding week! All I remember about my own was that my car broke down…wishing much better luck for your sister this week and always!
I hace to try that green pancake for st. patty’s day!!
I love weddings, and I can’t wait to see all the pictures and hear all the details. Have fun!
I have a new blog. I would love it if you would check it out sometime!
Loving the coffee shop. I love little shops like that! Have an awesome day with wedding things!
Purple Gaiam bag!
My green Gaiam bag says hullo.
I might have to flag this for the next time we’re in Jacksonville. I’m not a huge coffee drinker, but with the variety and my partner’s a big drinker, so it might work out just fine!
I Love love LOVE body pump! It is such an amazing full body workout. I love the set up of a muscle group a song and it is perfect to supplement my running training. Funny you posted about BP because I just shared some of my results on my blog thanks to Body Pump!
If you want to tone — Body pump is the way to go ! http://runningaragnar.blogspot.com/2014/03/progress-and-change.html
I love it too! I get to do it once a week here, on a Saturday morning! Wonder how similar our classes are to yours!? Is it a 45 minutes or 1 hour class? What sort of weights in terms of weight do you tend to use?
Oh my gosh! I want to move into that coffee shop. I also have a thing for cozy coffee shops. 🙂 Enjoy wedding weekend! Woohoo!
That is so smart- I have never seen desks like that in a coffee shop; more of them should do that! I like being holed up in those type of desks, it’s easier to stay focused! Otherwise I find myself looking around and watching other people haha 🙂
I feel like all the blogs I have read lately are posting about pancakes. I need to get on this!! I think maybe a breakfast for dinner is in order after work tonight 🙂
I have a dip you need to try because I know how much you love peanut butter!! Its greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey, and cinnamon. I don’t have measurements because I just kind of add as I taste. I saw your yogurt for breakfast in this post and it made me think of it!! I’ve been eating it with apples and it is so delicious!!
Thanks for the recommendation! I live in Jax and am always looking for something besides the Bux. And it is close to my house! Win Win 🙂
How cute! I love little gems like that place! 🙂
Please please tell me where I can find those almonds!!! Please….I beg you 🙂
From the outside it looks like a typical coffee shop but the inside is so quaint and cute! I love finding hidden gems like that, and there is something so comforting about a good local coffee shop!
I have been reading your blog for awhile and have been intrigued by your love of Body Pump because I had never tried the class! My local Y finally started the Les Mills classes and now I totally understand your obsession with it! It is such an energizing class and makes weightlifting a lot more fun. Thanks!
What an ingenious idea to put desks in a coffee shop! In a college town, they’d be packed, I’m sure. What a perfect little escape.
Glad you had a good workout, I LOVE BodyPump!
That coffee shop is adorable!
The coffee shop is so cute and cozy! I don’t like coffee but I would love to curl up in one of those chairs with a good book!
I WISH our coffee shop had desks like that when I was writing my thesis. I would often end up in the library, but would find myself cold and/or hungry. BUT, if I went into Starbucks, I’d always end up people-watching instead of writing. Talk about a great find with Sippers!
I am just getting into Body Pump and I am loving it too. I have attended 3 classes so far and I love how the class is structured. Each class I have slowly started to increase my weights, which is also a good challenge.
I LOVE little cozy coffee shops like this. This is the main reason I dream of having a job that I can do from anywhere! Never feel guilty about out of season coffee beverages. They bring so much happiness!
I love Sippers too! The owner Marci is soooo incredibly nice and her employees are great too. If you end up there again, definitely introduce yourself to Marci.
