Thank you so, so much for taking the time to provide me with feedback and suggestions about what you would like to see on Peanut Butter Fingers in 2011. I compiled a list and am excited to get crackin’!
I will probably start with the most common requests I received which included:
- Fashion-related posts (I am no expert, but I’ll do my best!)
- Ryan’s workout routine
- Ryan’s eating habits
- Ryan (<– Seriously. Please don’t steal my husband!)
- Videos
- Snack ideas
- Relationship-related posts (marriage, family, etc.)
- Sadie (<– Love everyone who requested more Sadie. I seriously feared someone would be a Sadie-hater and I would cry.)
- Attitude posts (Body image, remaining positive, etc.)
- Recipes
- Time management
- Money management
Something I absolutely love about your suggestions is how well-rounded they are. When I first started this blog, I shared my workouts and recipes, but found myself really enjoying blogging about random topics, fun dates and Sadie. I’m glad you guys don’t seem to mind my random tangents and welcome dog-dominated posts. Just another reason why you guys are the JAM!
Breakfast
Breakfast today was a big ol’ bowl of random goodies.
In the mix:
- Greek yogurt
- Cottage cheese
- Homemade cranberry sauce
- Harry & David apple slices (nabbed from my work’s stash)
Not a bad lil’ concoction.
While I assembled breakfast and snapped some photos, Sadie tried to entice me into a game of fetch in the back yard.
I obliged, but had to cut our game short because of that silly work thang.
Though Sadie’s fetching workout was cut a little short, I did manage to get in a workout of my own before breakfast.
I did 50 minutes of cardio that looked like this:
- 10 min. death stair master
- 35 min. elliptical
- 5 min. arc trainer
I’ll be honest, I really wasn’t feelin’ the gym this morning. I used my 168 hours trick to lure myself out of bed and it worked. The feeling at the end of a workout is totally worth getting out of bed a little early. No doubt about it!
Now it’s time to work. Today is like my Friday, as we have tomorrow off for New Year’s. Woo!
I was feeling blah today too and I also used the 168 hour trick! Great minds must think a like.
i’m looking forward to some of the new blog topics!! and i love that 168 hours trick- it really makes you think!.. the captions on Sadie’s photos are always the best!
It’s so funny how expressive animals are with their facial expressions and body language, lol
Aww Sadie!! Are you mad Julie? No-one could EVER hate that cute little face, don’t worry! 😀
Love everything on the topic list! Can’t wait to read these posts! 🙂
There better not be a Sadie-hater hangin around here! That would be crazy, because she is adorable 🙂
I can’t wait to see what is in store for your blog in 2011! I have off tomorrow too! Yay for today being our Friday!! 🙂
Sadie totally cracks me up cause she has a million different faces! Plus I love her super floppy ears.
cracking up at superstar sadie.
I took splenda from starbucks yesterday and felt bada$$. you were right.
Sadie isn’t wearing her snuggie today. It must have warmed up.
it’s supposed to be in the 70s this weekend! florida weather is weird.
glad to see i’m not the only one who hates the stair master! i can never get it to work right!
What the heck is that in front of Sadie in the second picture of her?? It looks interesting! 🙂
it WAS an elongated tennis ball toy, but she ripped off the neon fuzzy coating.
sadie is SO adorable. i’m obsessed with her ears..:)
question- do you normally eat things before working out in the morning? i usually don’t but i feel like that’s a bad habit..
Ah more Harry & David fruit! Still jealous!
I’ll never get sick of Sadie posts, especially with the comments under the picture of Sadie talking. So funny!
I agree! I love when Sadie “talks” too!
I giggled out loud about the chicken jerky thing this morning!
I love your pup! She’s so cute!
And.. this is REALLY weird.. but true – I had a DREAM about Sadie last night! Haha! I guess I really, REALLY like her!
That.. or I stalk your blog too much! 😉
Love to see another pup lover out there as “obsessed” (as “they” say) with your fur baby! My Dexter is my baby too!
Happy New Year to you guys!
haha i’ve dreamed about bloggers too!
Haha! Oh good! That makes me feel way less creepy!
I will say – there are worse things to dream about than her cute furry face! 🙂
Awww, love me some Sadie pictures! I love all of her expressions!
I love your videos. I’ve worked in TV and done some hosting, and I am so impressed at how natural you are on camera! You come across so genuine, knowledgeable and sweet.
thank you jenn! how cool that you worked in tv!
Sorry – I didn’t get to post suggestions for upcoming blogs. Has everyones life been crazy over the holidays? I say…. don’t change a thing about your blog! It’s great! I love how full of variety it is. Not just work out routines or healthy eating (like many others are). I love how you include everyday – useful ideas and help keep us positive and upbeat. Even when it’s 30 degrees in Florida! Lexys been wearing her fleece dog coat, hat, scarf and boots too!
Sadie is sooo adorable!
Can’t wait for whats in store for 2011!!!!
Oh my gosh! That sounds awesome! 🙂
I can’t wait to read your blog in 2011 (can it really be 2011 already?)
Looove, the Sadie posts! I’m a horseback rider, so I definitely understand the [sometimes crazy] love for animals thing! She’s the cutest pup – can’t wait to get one of my own after I graduate college!
Yes more Sadie posts! My pup is the love of my life, I know how you feel 🙂
I love all the possible topics!! And it’s so funny how everyone wants more Ryan. I’m interested in his eating/exercise habits too- I’ve always been curious as to how two different people can make their healthy habits jive!
Only a crazy person could hate Sadie!
lol, I love your photo captions! they make me smile 🙂
Sadie is my favorite blog dog to read about. She’s definitely got personality! I talk about her to people sometimes, lol.

I thinnk everyone togethre gave some great ideas!

i look in the fridge & scrounge around until something catches my eye! 🙂 that usually does the trick!
haha i lvoe that ryan was the top request! you do have a very cute husband 😉
i’d love to hear more about relationship-type posts as well as overall attitude. you are so cheery and optimistic that i wish i could be more like you!
So funny that everyone wants to know so much about Ryan!! I think I’d like to know more about his eating habits because I eat like you, and my husband has recently lost 60lbs… so I’m curious as to how he eats in comparison to you!!
Enjoy your long weekend!!!
I just really LOLed at the captions under Sadie’s pictures, especially the “my people. They love me” one!! So cute 🙂
I don’t know who could say a bad thing about Sadie! I love that you include her in your posts, the pictures are great! I love today’s picture and caption 🙂
I love your pics with Sadie, Ryan and yourself! Especially when you are holding Sadie. I can’t believe she isn’t very heavy! I emailed you a couple days ago with some questions about starting my own blog. I don’t know if the email went through though! How long did it take you to receive feedback and create an audience for your blog when you first created it? Do you have any advice for a new blogger?
I’m going to run my first 5k, throw myself into my new writing and editing job, dedicate as much time possible to expanding and promoting my blog, meet new people, and be the best friend possible!
LOL that everyone wants to see/hear more about Ryan. I have another topic suggestion, though: Ryan’s single friends?! haha 🙂
I like that suggestion – Ryan’s single friends!!
What! Who could ever be a Sadie hater?? She is so silly.
Just wanted to say…
Whatever you do with your blog, it’s gonna be great. You have a wonderful dedication to writing it, and it’s obvious that you’re readers love you and what you type.
Keep up all the great work, and have a great 2011.
