It’s official.
The final Harry Potter movie is awesome.
As a big Harry Potter fan – someone who has read all of the books and seen all of the movies – I had high hopes for the final film. Both Ryan and I agreed that it was a great conclusion to such an epic series of amazing movies. It’s hard to believe that the first Harry Potter movie came out when I was in high school and the final one made its debut yesterday, now that I’m four years removed from college.
After the movie, it was pouring outside, so Ryan and I decided to duck into a nearby frozen yogurt shop.
How convenient!
Delicious, as always. I think I will be adding Heath bar bits to all of my fro yo cups in the future.
The rest of our evening was spent at Moe’s eating delicious Mexican food before enjoying a quiet night in.
The Workout that Wasn’t
As I went to bed last night, I had plans to wake up early to work out, but when 6 a.m. rolled around, I decided to skip my workout for the day in favor of some extra sleep. I am going to my first ever blogger conference in Maitland at 9 a.m. today and figured I’d just take today as my rest day and workout tomorrow. Ain’t no thang.
After a quick shower, I headed downstairs to make myself breakfast and pack a lunch for the conference. (I think you have an option to buy lunch, so I’m packing a bag to save some moo-lah.)
Breakfast was a yummy smoothie bowl!
I think all of the frozen yogurt I ate yesterday left me craving more creamy and cool food this morning.
And now I’m off to learn all about blogging. My friend and former coworker Lisa is also attending and I’m really excited to see her!
Questions of the Morning
- Have you ever been to a blogging conference? If so, which one and how was it? If not, would you want to go to one?
Alaina says
I haven’t been to a conference yet! I was invited to the Wellsphere conference in NY in September and I’m still waiting for details. I would love to go to Foodbuzz though.

I too read the books as they came out (went to several midnight book releases) and have seen all the movies. I was so excited for the finale (saw it at midnight arrived an hour early to get a seat) but I am so sad it’s over!
Stephanie @ A Hungry Bookworm says
I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who can’t say no to HP, or fro yo!

Awww Julie! I just saw this post! I’m so glad we got to see each other, too! 😀 Phew, didn’t today go by so quickly?! I thought it might drag on a bit, but the day just zoomed by!
I really hope you’ll be coming to visit Orlando as often as you think!! I really am happy for you and Ryan…even though I wish you could stay! 🙂
Laura @ Unchartered 20s says
OoO a conference! I’m brand spankin’ new to blogging! I’m not sure exactly where my blog is headed (aside from everyday life), but would love to eventually get my feet wet and meet some other local bloggers. I bet NYC has a million of them!! 😀
Laura @ Unchartered 20s says
Actually, that’s probably low balling the amount of bloggers here. Haha!
Lorin says
I wouldn’t mind going to one, I think it would be interesting. I’m a reader not a blogger so I don’t know if it would really work. Plus, a lot of conferences are on the east coast, not San Diego or any part of California that I know of, besides SF; but I’m not close to that.

I had fro yo and totally thought of you! I did peanut butter with Famous Amos cookies, mini m&ms and Heath bar..I was really wishing they had peanut butter cup pieces also! It was absolutely freezing here in Seattle..but I just imagined being in Florida!
Laura (Cookies vs. Carrots) says
The movie was sooooo good! I agree that it was a great ending even though I am sad it’s over!
