More importantly though, how was your Thanksgiving!? Anyone else still full? I am almost more excited about digging into Thanksgiving leftovers for the next few days than I was for our real Thanksgiving feast. Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches are the jam!
We’ve been loving every second of Diane and Les’ visit so far and we hit the ground running the moment they arrived on Wednesday morning. We’ve been filling our days with family time outside, plenty of cooking and eating and relaxation. We’re hoping to make it out to a local zoo and possibly wander around Davidson today so more adventures await!
I hope you all had the most amazing Thanksgiving and I also hope you know how thankful I am for each and every one of you. I know how busy everyone’s lives are and the fact that you choose to take time out of your day to spend some time with me is not lost on me one bit. Thanks so much for reading. I appreciate it so, so much!
And now for Things I’m Loving Friday fun! Let’s get to it…
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Clean Juice Feature
I think everyone has a few local businesses they love and adore and Clean Juice is one of mine for sure. Ryan and I fell in love with Clean Juice when the first opened back in 2015 and we’ve loved watching them grow! Their headquarters is located in the area and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the owners a few times and think the world of them and the way they run their business. They’re great people who make a great product! I was honored when they asked me to submit a healthy recipe for a recent feature in their Juice ‘til Dinner pamphlet and loved seeing some of my blogging buddies included as well!
- Gingerbread RXBars
Oh, RXBars! You’ve done it again! RXBars simply kill it with their seasonal flavors and their new gingerbread bar is wonderful and tastes like healthy Christmas. Is that even a thing? I don’t know but they are GOOD.
- Black Friday Sales
Sticking with tradition around here, I wanted to be sure to roundup a small collection of some of the Black Friday sales I saw around the web that looked particularly awesome today! Happy shopping!
Old Navy: 50% off your entire purchase
Madewell: 25% off everything with code DONTSTRESS (They NEVER have sales!! I couldn’t resist ordering these high-waisted distressed jeans, this front-tie tee and my favorite whisper cotton v-neck in white!)
GAP: 50% off everything (Give yourself the gift of GAP PureBody pajamas. SO soft and they are my absolute favorite pjs! Their new sleep shirt + sleep pants set is on my current wish list.)
Nordstrom: Additional 20% off select sale items (Love this slouchy tunic sweater for only $22!)
Nike: 25% off select styles with code EPIC25 (Includes my beloved Flyknit sneakers, lots of winter apparel like this cozy vintage zip-up and plenty of leggings!)

ROOLEE: 25% off everything (The masterminds behind the best moto leggings EVER.)
New Balance: 20% off + free shipping
Nordstrom Rack: Additional 30% off all red tag clearance items + free shipping (Tip: They have adorable baby and toddler clothing!)

Mixbook: 55% off wall art, cards and premium books + 45% off everything else (This site is THE BEST for photo books! Their designs are gorgeous and they make everything so easy.)
- Suja Kombucha
I received a surprise delivery from my Suja friends late last week featuring an assortment of their new organic kombucha. I’ve tried every flavor (berry, peach, ginger and green) and all of them are fantastic. The berry is my favorite and the sweetest of the bunch, so if you have a hard time with the vinegary flavor of traditional kombucha, I’d try that one first. I love the way Suja incorporated adaptogenic herbs (moringa, ashwagandha, reishi and schizandra) into the kombucha to help the body restore balance and fight fatigue. Love them!
- Friday Flashbacks
Best Ever Morning Glory Muffins (My favorite local bakery’s amazing recipe! A crowd-pleasing, must-make muffin to share over the holidays.)
Thanksgiving Day At Home Workout (A handy workout to keep on hand during holiday travels. No equipment required!)
Question of the Day
What is one thing you are thankful for today?
Kim from MN says
I’ve said this before but I’m thankful for your BLOG! So much entertainment and information and inspiration and fun all the time. Thanks for being you! Long time reader and big time fan right here!
I saw the Instapots for sale for $49.99 I *think* at Wal-mart (but my goodness, so many ads means I just plain start to get confused about which store has what.) They were the 5 quart pots, and I don’t know about the sizes, but fyi to anyone who reads this or you if you want to give a second as a gift!
Can’t believe I’m here this early and seeing this so soon, but happy Friday! And Happy (belated) Thanksgiving. Looks like it was a good one!
Julie says

Kim from MN says
Oh yayyyy! I’m happy that I can return any of the happiness you give to me and others. Thank you! And I’m still puzzled as to how I found your blog so many years ago. It was pre-pinterest and I remember I really think I found you through some random google search for either a recipe or something related to a workout! I can’t remember exactly, but really glad I found you! 🙂
Vera says
NO Black Friday shopping here! It’s a time at our house to sit back and just relax and enjoy our Christmas decorations that we put up yesterday!
I am thankful for my husband, twin daughters, and our new baby due in April!
Vera says
You name is Vera?? I am a Vera too…I have never met anyone under 70 years old with our name…LOL. Nice to virtually meet you 🙂
Melissa says
Black Friday shopping used to be a huge favorite of mine and my family’s and though it’s not as prevalent this year as it was in years past, I’m still looking forward to picking up a pair of $1 fuzzy socks from Old Navy! Not only are they adorable, but they donate to the Boys and Girls’ Clubs. Lastly, this year, as I am every year, I’m extremely thankful for my family.
Katie says
I NEED to find those Gingerbread RXBars!

I’m thankful for getting 10.5 hours of sleep last night. My body really needed it!
Julie says

I totally agree about turkey sandwich leftovers being the best!! And the Gap Pure Body pajamas are SO incredibly soft – I am obsessed too!
Julie says
aren’t they so good? i also love them with turkey, cranberry and whipped cream cheese. SO good!
Maureen @ Maureen Gets Real says
It sounds like you’ve been having a great visit with the in laws Julie! I’m thankful for my boyfriend’s family since they’ve been so so welcoming to me and always inclusive of me (I live 12 hours away from my parents currently). His mom was SO sweet and called me on Tuesday to make sure there wasn’t a certain Thanksgiving dish I would miss having since I wouldn’t be at home. Have a wonderful night 🙂
Fiona @ Get Fit Fiona says
Happy Thanksgiving! It sounds like yours was great with family visiting. I used to work retail, so I know how absolutely crazy stores get today. You won’t find me anywhere near a mall! If I do end up doing anything shopping, it’ll be online like you’re doing.
Erinn says
You have so much to be thankful for! I am also a huge fan of Thanksgiving leftovers…my husband usually makes ANOTHER turkey with all the fixings right after Thanksgiving to ensure that we have enough leftovers to last through the following week.
And I’m with you on the online shopping…I can’t deal with the crowds and it’s so easy to just do all the shopping online 🙂
I’ve been able to grab a bunch of Christmas gifts for the family.
I saw that you do the BR boxers as a stocking stuffer for Ryan, any other recommendations for guy’s stockings?? I struggle with it every year!
Enjoy your holiday weekend with your family 🙂
Kimberly says
I am thankful for positive blogs like yours!
Karen says
I just grabbed an instant pot as well! I was hoping to find one! So glad you included!! Thanks for your great posts! I don’t read many blogs these days but I found yours over the summer and am so glad I did! I also picked up some natural sunblock for my kiddo based on your post and the great comments from readers the other day. Thanks again and happy holidays!!!!!
Karen says
Dang, I used a lot of exclamation points.
Emily @ Pizza & Pull-Ups says
Congrats on the Clean juice feature! I will have to look for those gingerbread Rx Bars, I loved the pumpkin spice ones they put out.
Kaitlyn @ Powered by Sass says
Woooo Thanksgiving leftovers are my jam. My favorite this year was leftover kale salad (it held up SO well!) and my Granny’s sweet potato casserole. She’s no longer with us, so having this dish time and time again is extra special – especially because it’s so delicious!
Heather says
Seriously looking forward to your Instapot recipes. I have no idea what to do with mine and need the help!
