Friday is here and it’s time to chat about things we’re loving this week!
One thing I always love? Thunderstorms in the morning! Maybe it’s the April baby in me, but I’ve always adored waking up to the sound of rain against the windowpane and rolling thunder. (Of course it’s not so great on vacation or when I have an early morning run on the books!)
Thunderstorms have taken over Ocala this morning and they’re making it hard not to want to crawl back into bed, but I am enjoying the cozy ambiance they’re adding to my home office as I type up this blog post. I hope they stick around this morning but dissipate as soon as I need to hit the road for Miami. A five hour drive in crazy rain does not sound like a fun time to me!
Moving right along to your regularly scheduled programming… Below you will find some things that are making me smile this week. As always, please share your weekly favorites the comments section!
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Pandora Shuffle
As someone who listens to Pandora daily, I feel a little embarrassed that I’ve never noticed the “Shuffle” button at the top of my list of stations before. Thanks to my friend Leah, I discovered this button and the ability for Pandora to play songs from any of my favorite stations. Oh happy day! (For those interested, here’s a throwback post to some of my favorite Pandora stations!)
- My Ridiculous Husband and Dog
Ryan and I have been on a nightly massage kick (I hope it never ends!) and when Ryan laid on the floor in our living room last night for his turn, I had to laugh when Sadie quickly posted up right in front of him, laying her head on his arm as if she was waiting for her massage. Ridiculous.
This is one item I currently have on my wish list! (I probably should’ve shared it with my family when they were looking for birthday ideas, huh?) I love the super-thin gold band, but think I may need to do some digging on Etsy to find a more affordable option. I adore the delicate look and think they’d make perfect day-to-day rings.
Love this post from the always thought-provoking Carla Birnberg!
Talk about some badass band aids! I cannot help but laugh when I picture a measly paper cut covered in a “Shark Bite” bandage. Amazing.
- Plantain Chips
These plantain chips were a total impulse buy earlier this week and I’ve been finding myself grabbing a handful at all times of the day. They don’t taste nearly as sweet as banana chips and I love the salty crunch! My favorite way to eat them so far? Chip ‘n’ dip style with a creamy cup of Greek yogurt with honey.
- Reebok ONE Cushion Giveaway Winner
Congratulations to Erin! “Love the Sonic Green/Trust Blue/Optimal Pink – the more color, the better! Would love to have these to train in for my first half marathon post-baby.” Erin was emailed first thing this morning!

Those gold rings are adorable! I love them!
Anytime I impulse buy plantain chips I can’t help but eat the whole bag in one sitting! Soo good!
They are incredibly addicting!
Me too! It doesn’t help that Whole Foods sells them in tubs, so I think I’m getting a value for the size. 🙂 Trader Joe’s has some good ones. I can’t resist them!
Hahahahaha those bandaids are absolutely hilarious. I’m going to have to get my hands on some of those.
those thin gold bands are so pretty! i really love thin rings! and ummm i totally need to take your massage idea = LOVE!
It’s pretty fabulous!! I just hope we keep it up! 🙂
I LOVE threadbare rings. I got a set of five from Hannah Naomi’s etsy (and I’ve gotten more rings and earrings from her since!) In the set of five you can get all different sizes also so you don’t have to wear them all on one finger. Seriously check her out, her stuff is awesome and some of the more affordable, good quality options I found on my hunt!

Perfect!!!!! Thanks so much for this!
Those bandages are awesome!!
That picture of Ryan and Sadie is just too adorable! And those rings!! I was looking months ago for them, and I found many affordable options on Etsy!! Yum!! Never had plantain chips, but banana chips are the best. In trail mix, I pretty much dig them all out and eat only them. Everyone else can eat the rest haha
Did you happen to buy any of them? I found a few, but I want to make sure the gold holds up and doesn’t fade over time…

I have these rings from Stella & Dot since I was going after the same thin gold ring look. They’re shown stacked but I wear wither one or two or the rings on a finger. Highly recommend!
Thanks Meghan!
I snagged the plantain chips at TJ yesterday and had to hide them! They are so stinking good!
And full confession, I had no clue about the shuffle option either. Haha. TGIF!
haha I love the band aids, and those gold rings are so pretty! Definitely something I’d wear all the time.
Speaking of massages…(and it’s not about me or my husband), my V has gotten so used to HIS nightly massages that if I even walk by him at night while he is relaxing on the couch he leans back and put his leg up to tell me he is ready for his massage!! SPOILED!!!
Lol! Love it!
Haha – those band-aids are awesome! Have a great weekend!
Haha I love those bandaids! They would definitely make any injury more fun!
I really love those gold bands! They look awesome!
ooh, I didn’t realize pandora had a shuffle option either! I will have to try that out.
Hmmmm, I’ve been banned from putting pictures of my husband on my blog. And I have a pic of him sleeping with our Weinerdog but he denies he does this….oh well.
Those bandaids sucked me in. I mean, if they’re 10 bucks apiece, gotta get some. Okay, not that much. Will have to be less than a dollar =)
You’re so funny! I definitely noticed the “Shuffle” button but almost never use it. I do love that you have a BPM station! I totally need to get that.
I love banana chips so I’m sure those plantain chips are right up my alley!
thank you for the looooove.
and youre a bad influence 🙂
I NOW LOVE THAT RING!!!!
Of course! Always love your blog posts!! 🙂
Plantain chips from Trader Joe’s are amazing! They’re good in hummus.
It is a beautiful, hot, and sunny day down in South Florida! Have a safe drive!!
Yayyyy!
I tried plantain chips for the first time on a cruise in 2009, now whenever we go on a cruise (I’ve been on 3, total), if they’re on the menu, I get them. Last time, it was on the Disney Wonder, and they were served with Martinique Crab Dip. One of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten!
(Here’s the menu, listed under Appetizers: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/wonder/dining/parrot-cay/)
I didn’t know Pandora had a shuffle either. So good to have that information. Have a happy Friday! 🙂
Glad I’m not the only one in the dark!
I love those plantain chips from Trader Joe’s! I am loving the spring like weather that has finally arrived here.
I wish we had a Trader Joe’s in Ocala!
LOVING those gold rings- so gorgeous and love the delicate look- and those band aids are super fun!
i love those rings too! so darling and simple!
Those bandaids are so funny!
Ah! Every friday when I see when your ‘Things I’m loving’ share on FB, i’m reminded how fast the week goes by!
Looking forward to attending my niece’s graduation from UCF in 3 hours!!!
Back in FL with clouds!! Thought I left them in the Pacific NW!!
Nope!!
Off to Disney tomorrow for the continuation go Graduation Weekend 🙂
Yayyyyy UCF!!!! congrats to your niece!
Lol, those band aids are hysterical!
I am really looking forward to a weekend of relaxation and beautiful weather! 🙂
I listen to Pandora daily too! I have to listen to music to keep me going each day!
Those bandages are awesome! lol
I’m convinced that regular massage exchanges are the key to a happy life and relationship.
Yes! Still jealous of your ability to get one from your bf whenever you see him!
I love those bandages! Sadie is too freaking cute!
I love everything on your Friday list this week…especially your article “ending the glorification of busy”. What a refreshing article! I am loving mason jar crafts this week. I have been on a mason jar kick and have been painting them for flower vases and kitchen utensil holders. So cute!
What?! Pandora has a shuffle function!?!? Sadly, I also did not know about this in the 6+ years I have used it. The one thing I am loving this week is, Emma Stone lip sync on Fallon = Amazing!
HOLY CRAP – totally looking into that shuffle option. That is amazing! How did I not know that existed?? I agree about the bands, totally adorable!
Well I think I’m obsessed with two new things just from reading this post: those rings (beautiful!) and THOSE BANDAGES ARE HILARIOUS! I need to buy some right this minute.
Something I love this week? Caramel light frappuccinos. Not a new thing, but the weather is finally warm enough to start enjoying the cold beverages at Starbucks. I’ll be heading over to frappuccino happy hour again today at 3pm. 🙂
love those rings! I just discovered coconut chips- YUM. I have to keep myself away from trader joe’s or else I’m goign to buy their entire stock of them… haha
Those dainty gold rings are too cute!! I love dainty, elegant jewelry. Always a good go-to!
Love those rings!
Whoa I never noticed the shuffle either! I need those band aids!
Haha, those bandaids are hilarious!!! It totally makes getting injured somewhat fun 😉
I with you on the plantain chips. They’re delicious! Nature’s Harvest also has them in Salsa and Cinnamon Sugar. SO good!
Those types of rings are amazingly cute. Here are a couple Etsy shops that sell them for less (and in Rose Gold too!!)

i love those band-aids and the rings.
Is it bad that I hate giving massages? I always want one from Drew, but I HATE giving them back. They hurt my hands…they get all cramped up…
Carla has such thought provoking posts, indeed! Just checked it out and it was spot on. 😀 Thanks for sharing~And also, a nice massage sounds so nice right now! So, does Sadie actually get one? Haha, I wouldn’t be surprised if she likes massages being the princess she is. ;P
those band-aids!! I need ’em. Both for me and my baby…if she ever needs one, how hilarious would it be to cover her in those?!? Hahaha.
I want those bandaids (FYI we call them plasters!) Have to check out the glorification of busy post!
Careful. I think plantain chips are just as unhealthy for you as potato chips. I was eating them on my Paleo diet last year and my coaches mentioned I shouldn’t eat them all the time. Too bad, since they were delicious and always available for a small pack at the $1.00 store!
If you find those rings anywhere, post them on your site please? I’m looking for small thin gold rings too!
I love napping through thunder storms!! Especially with the windows cracked a little so the fresh rain smell can come inside.
Super cute rings and the bandaids are so fun!! Perfect for super clumsy people like me!
Love those thin gold rings — so simple & pretty!
Happy Friday! 🙂
