Hello and Happy Friday! Friday is officially my favorite day of the week. I love the anticipation of the weekend and knowing two days full of fun (and hopefully some relaxation!) await. Ryan and I have a low-key weekend planned and I could not be more psyched. We are hoping to visit a pumpkin patch at some point, make a trip to IKEA for some frames for my gallery wall and hike with Sadie. Woop!
But now let’s dive right into my favorite post of the week: Things I’m Loving Friday! Below you will find a list of things that are making me smile. (Lots of fall-themed loves goin’ on this week!) As always, feel free to play along in the comments section of this post!
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Maple Water
I first tried maple water during my trip to the Outaouais Region of Canada last year and was pleasantly surprised to find myself loving the lightly sweet flavor. It is incredibly refreshing and I’m happy to see it’s becoming more and more prevalent in the United States. Yum!
- Fall Frozen Yogurt
When frozen yogurt places start offering fall-themed flavors and toppings, you know I have to take advantage! I actually felt slightly ridiculous when I went to pay for this cup of frozen yogurt this week because I was also wearing orange and black. Overkill???
- Fabletics Lima Capri + Omemee Tank
After reading about Fabletics on so many blogs (Hi Ashley!) and receiving a few comments from you guys about their workout apparel, I was awfully excited to receive an email from the company offering to send me a few pieces from their fall collection. So far I’ve had the chance to try the Lima capris and and the Omemee tank and I cannot say enough great things about both pieces. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post about my favorite workout pants, am really picky about my workout capris and leggings. They need to be thick enough and have enough compression to smooth my legs and disguise any lumps and bumps. They must stay up during my workouts, feel comfortable and not dig into my waist . The Lima capris meet all of my criteria and then some! They’ve been a staple in my barre workout wardrobe and I wear them lounging around the house and on long walks with Sadie, too. They come in a myriad of colors and I have my eye on the Cranberry Stripe pair!
Just a quick heads up for those who may be new to Fabletics like me: It can be a bit confusing when you first browse around the website! Fabletics is a little different from most workout apparel companies in that you can buy their clothes directly from the site or become a VIP member and receive a monthly workout outfit (skipping months whenever you want). You also get 50% off your first month’s outfit ($25 for capris + sports bra + tank!?) which is pretty awesome. Full disclosure: I have included my referral link above, which will earn me a small credit to the site (the same credit you’ll receive if you refer a friend as well). So far I am impressed and I’ve already ordered my first $25 outfit!
P.S. The pullover you see above was from my most recent Stitch Fix box and it’s officially the most comfortable pullover I own. LOVE it.
- Garfi, The Angriest Cat On The Internet
Also known as my new favorite cat on the internet. He cracks me up!
I first spotted this kettle corn at The Fresh Market a few weeks ago and left swimming in a pool of regret when I didn’t buy it. Well, yesterday I found myself back at Fresh Market after coaching Girls on the Run and didn’t make the same mistake again. I bought it and the entire bag was nearly devoured by me alone. I managed to save Ryan a cup of it (which took some serious willpower), so heed my warning: You will not be able to put this stuff down! If you love candy corn and kettle corn, you will love this stuff.
With Halloween on the horizon, I figured it was a good time to bring back this Spooky Circuit Workout! I did this workout at home this week (all you need is a set of dumbbells and some stairs or a *sturdy* chair/bench for the step ups) and it’s a sweaty one!
- Your Skincare Comments
Thank you so much to so many of you for leaving such thoughtful comments on my blog post about switching up my skincare routine earlier this week. I really appreciate the resources and experiences you shared, the products you recommended and the time you took to type everything out. I took lots of notes!! If you happen to share my skin frustrations, definitely check out the comments section of that post. So many helpful tips!
- Celestial Seasonings Giveaway Winner
Congratulations to Haley C., the winner of the Celestial Seasonings giveaway! Haley was emailed first thing this morning. Thanks to all who entered!
Question of the Day
- Tell me about one thing you’re absolutely loving this week!
This weekend is Thanksgiving here in Canada, so I’m really loving that. It’s one of my favorite holidays.
How exciting! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Love your new gear from Fabletics! I have heard awesome things about their clothes Enjoy your weekend!
I am excited that it is currently raining outside! It is feeling like fall today!
My husband and I are planning to go to a pumpkin patch this weekend too! The weekend seems to be filling up fast though, so I hope we make it there!
I’ve always wondered about Fabletics! Those capris are cute!
I have also heard so many wonderful things about Fabletics. I am always weary about having to sign up for a service, but it is nice to know you can skip months. I think it’s time I give it a try. I love your Stitch Fix pullover too.
Oh my goodness, I just laughed SO hard at the pics of Garfi! They are hilarious!
I’m LOVING that it’s the weekend! My husband and I are going to check out a few hot spots in Charlotte this weekend for brunch and live music so I’m really looking forward to that! 🙂
OMG! I need to try that Maple Water, it sounds delish and a great way to drink more water. That Angry Cat is hilarious!
Sounds like we are going to be having very similar weekends… pumpkin patch+IKEA–YESSSSS. I love Fabletics and am constantly browsing for my next outfit.
Cute capris and pullover! I’m loving a pullover that is really long and goes great with leggings I snagged at the Gap Outlet a few weeks ago.
If you love that cat I have to assume you love Grumpy Cat?!?! My husbands bursts out laughing randomly while looking at his phone and I always know he’s searching for Grumpy Cat pics! What a nerd!!! hahah!

I’m loving the fact that I get to go home today to celebrate my best friend’s wedding! And I’ll be with my family for an early birthday celebration. Can’t wait!
Maple water?! That’s a new one to me! I love the fall toppings you got there…. candy corn– YES! I am loving scarves!!
The maple water…!!! 😉
Have a great weekend, friend! xoxo
Yay for Angie’s Kettle Corn! I live in the town where it is made 🙂 I’m so behind the times, I hadn’t heard about Fabletics until your post yesterday. Loving the pricing and so good to hear the quality is fantastic. Will definitely be checking it out. Thanks for the info!
I just received some maple water to try this week, and I’m really intrigued by it. I’m so glad to hear you love it! And wow wow wow – that fro yo cup looks incredible!! So glad you’re sharing the Fabletics love! It really is the best. Thanks for the sweet shoutout! xo
Maple water?? I need this in my life!
I am loving the weather here in Kansas City today! It is cold and dreary with some rain in and out. Normally I dont love this kind of weather but in the Fall I love the coziness! I think the high today is only 55! I am also loving that tonight my husband and I are having some friends over for my homemade chicken noodle soup and the KC Royals game. Everyone was instructed to come in loungewear so I think it will be the perfect chilly night spent with friends! I know all of that sounds a little dumb but I love Fall and the rain and chilly weather makes me happy this time of year.
Have a great weekend Julie!
I discovered Garfi earlier this week and just about died laughing at work!!! HILARIOUS. Poor cat. Life is tough when you’re born with a resting angry face!
I tried that candy corn kettle corn last weekend and it was amazing! So so good. I am loving this fall weather and am hoping to make it to a pumpkin patch this weekend as well… maybe some fall-themed baking (pumpkin chocolate chip muffins YUM) 🙂 And spend time with my puppy!
I’m loving my new son!! Mitchell was born last Tuesday and I am beyond over the moon! We are hoping for our first family walk and outing this weekend to enjoy the beautiful weather.
How exciting! Big congratulations to you!
Loving this week, my first cross stitching project! “Cotton” for my 2nd wedding anniversary <3
Told you that you’d love it 😉 Completely reasonably priced too!
I just ordered my first outfit from Fabletics (the “outlet” outfit) and can’t believe I will soon be getting three pieces of clothing in the mail for $40. I really hope I like the look and fit of the clothing. I’ve heard that Kate Hudson hired one of the clothing designers that used to design for lululemon. Pretty cool.
Lately, I have been loving the pumpkin spice Chobani yogurt! I am going to have to try the maple water – sounds delish!
Totally neeeed that sweater you’re wearing!!!! Can u give us the brand?! 😉
Yes!! I will check right when I get home!
Thank you so much!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!!!
The brand is Loveappella! 🙂
What brand is that pullover?! Would love to try to find it online! 🙂
It’s Loveappella! Super comfy!
I want to go on an Ikea + Home Goods + TJ Maxx shopping spree… but I can’t for another week until we’re actually moved in! This weekend we have an outdoor wedding (the high is only 61 brrrrr) and I have a cheerleading competition for the squad I coach on Sunday. I’m sure I’ll be exhausted by the end!
I just reviewed my first Fabletics purchase over on my blog! I ordered another outfit with difference capris than you’ve featured here, and they unfortunately dig into my waist a bit. Otherwise I love it all!!!
Also, I need to get that popcorn STAT
Maple might just be my favourite flavour ever (maybe it’s the Canadian in me)- I’m going to have to try that flavoured water! Also- on the orange and black note, as a student whose school colours are orange and black, I’ve definitely learned to embrace the all year round halloween-esque look. Rock it! (I try to 🙂 )
I’m loving I get to see Ingrid Michaelson in concert tonight! I can’t wait! I love her music.
Oh man that cat looks like a much angrier version of my Punkin! So crazy!
And you can get that popcorn from Target! It’s where I got my bag. 😀
Have fun tonight– I love her voice!
I’ve been interested in Fabletics but yes it completely confused me when I looked into it. Thanks for clarifying!
I have never heard of this maple water and I’m Canadian! I will have to look around for it. I love anything maple.
You must try it! I am seriously in love with maple water! So refreshing!
Today I am loving my iced coffee! I asked my bf to make extra coffee before he left for work and put it in the fridge… so all I had to do is drink it! winnerrrr 😉
I’m loving all the pumpkin smells and food! Trader Joes has everything pumpkin, including pumpkin croutons for their pumpkin soup, and it’s awesome!
I love Ikea and always end up spending way longer than needed and way to much money!! I really hate the fact that England has like no Froyo places, it makes me so sad aha!! I’m visiting my dad in Chicago at the end of October and I’m going to have to eat froyo at least 3 times to make up for it 😉 Have a great weekend
I still haven’t tried Fabletics and really want to. Thanks for the tip on that hilarious cat. Have a great weekend — I’ll be enjoying some lovely fall weather in San Francisco as well as the SF Fleet Week celebration.
Thank. You. So. Much!
Fabletics!
This is the first web service of that kind that is actually doable for me! I live in Estonia (Europe) and although there is no direct shipping here I can do it via the Fabletics German site with the help from my sister who lives in Konstanz. Whoop! Seriously happy 🙂
Now if only Stich Fix would find the European market… Fingers crossed!
Hope you love it!!!
I am jealous you’re going to a pumpkin patch, but so happy for you getting to experience a little bit of fall in NC! 🙂
Right now I’m loving gift cards! I somehow managed to get over $100 in Gap/Athleta, WholeFoods, and a juice/smoothie shop .. gotta get redeeming! 😉
Sweet!!!!!
I am LOVING the indescribable smell of fall outside at night. No idea what it is, exactly, but there’s something about the chilly fall night air that is so comforting 🙂
Agreed!!
Candy Corn Popcorn!!! I bought that this week for a dinner we were hosting but got curious and packed a baggie of it when we went to a movie earlier this week. My husband usually has a bite or two of what I bring and he kept wanting more! Needless to say we came home and finished the bag. Oops. I already put on my list to try and pumpkin spice flavor I saw. Although my husband is away this weekend so I will probably eat it all myself 🙂
Long time reader, first time commenting here! What brand is that pullover? I need that in my closet ASAP 🙂 and maple water…so interesting, I’ll have to give that a try!
Love your blog!!
Thanks for commenting, Chelsea! The pullover is Loveappella! 🙂
That top looks so cosy!!! In need of some more layers now that the chill factor has set in!
One thing I am absolutely loving is my ‘nippies’. I know, a bit of a personal item, but for me… a life changer. I had to share it!! They are the only nip covers that I don’t show through, or have visible edges through your clothes. For me, a must for my workout tops. A little pricey (about $25 on amazon). SO WORTH IT. Also, I can where shelf bra camis with no problem now. If you haven’t been able to go braless due to this issue, it is so amazing. I hope this ‘thing I am loving’ isn’t over the top for this venue! Have a great weekend!
I am loving the weather! It’s been a crisp 50-60 degrees in Ohio and a bit overcast each day, but it’s so beautiful with all of the colors and perfect for hot coffee in the morning.
That popcorn looks INSANE. There is no way I can bring that into my house. It will only end in regret.
Favorite thing this week: skipping healthy breakfast this morning for a donut and coffee instead. 🙂
I have those Lima capri pants too!!! My only complaint… the first pair of pants I ordered I got the XXS and they were a bit snug, so I ordered these in an XS… and they are too big. 🙁 I’m hoping they will shrink because I tossed all of the packaging thinking they would fit…
What I’m loving… I mentioned the Fabletics Switch Back Tee yesterday and I ADORE this!! I’m trying to plan everywhere to wear it! I also love that it feels just a b.i.t like fall! (In Tampa is always hot, hot hot) – but you can smell fall trying to burst through!
I also received two surprises in the mail today that made me super excited! My replacement passport came – hello Italy! and my officially, official Interior Design License!! 7 years of hard work, finally acknowledged! 🙂
Have a great weekend!!!!
I see those Fabletics ads all the time, but assumed (wrongly I guess!) that they were poor quality… I want to give them a try now, esp with that sweet deal you mentioned!
Thanks Julie! I have been searching for a good circuit workout to do this weekend, and this one looks perfect. And one of my favorite things this week wedding presents starting to arrive. So exciting!
Julie, I bought a few items on Fabletics website, but I didn’t see where I could reference your referral. When it asked me how I heard about the website, PBFingers was not an option. Can’t wait to try my new apparel, but I wish I could have given you the credit.
Angie Ballenger
You’re so sweet to think of this, Angie. Thank you! If I’m not mistaken, I think that simply clicking the link will track things on their end, so they’ll probably still know you were referred by me. Thanks again for being so thoughtful!! 🙂
I just recently started buying more exercise capris. I used to have a problem running in anything but shorts, but I am really loving the capris all of a sudden. I have the same requirements as you and am going to take a look at the Fabletics site because it sounds more reasonably priced that most places. I just can’t justify spending over $100 on a pair of exercise clothes!
Also I have to find that maple water because I love anything with maple in the name. Have a great weekend!
How do the Lima capris compare to the old navy compression leggings in terms of the size.
I was going to order a pair of the Lima capris but some of the comments made me think they ran small.
In general, I think Old Navy runs big, so they definitely fit smaller than Old Navy! I think the Fabletics capris run true to size but, like you saw, it seems like some think they may run a little small.
OMG I busted out laughing at those picture of Garfi. so funny!!
Also thanks for showing me about Fabletics! How amazing – I signed up 🙂
Such a great post! I cannot wait until my half marathon is over on Sunday, I want to get a bowl of frozen yogurt identical to yours! haha 🙂
I’ll need to find Angie’s kettle corn around here too; that stuff sounds fabulous!
Hope your half marathon went well!! <3
Yay, so glad you’re loving Fabletics! I love their stuff!! I have a few pairs of Lima capris in various colors, and they’re the bomb.
Mmmm fro yo! I haven’t had any in ages, actually!
