But now let’s focus on your usual Friday post: Things I’m Loving Friday! Just in case you’re new around here, Things I’m Loving Friday is a weekly feature on PBF where we all chat about things we’re loving this week. Feel free to join in the fun in the comments section of this post and tell me about something that’s making you smile this week!
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Hint Peppermint Water
My mom and I share an intense love for Hint peppermint water and I’m so happy it’s back in stores for the holiday season. It’s incredibly refreshing and probably my favorite Hint flavor. So good!
- Angie’s Holidrizzle Iced Gingerbread Popcorn
It’s a fact: If Angie’s makes a holiday flavored popcorn, I will buy it. And so, naturally, this Holidrizzle Iced Gingerbread kettle corn found its way into my cart at The Fresh Market earlier this week. It is absolutely bursting with gingerbread flavor and the sweet icing drizzle is so darn delicious. It’s a new holiday favorite, for sure!
I figured my fellow dog lovers would appreciate this one! Some of them really surprised me (Pottery Barn!?), but the article makes sure to note that pet policies do vary store-to-store. Still pretty cool! I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing Sadie to most of these places, but she is quickly becoming a big fan of Lowe’s now that we know she’s allowed there!
This vest!! A few of you asked about it before and I have nothing but great things to say about it! I ordered the vest from NordstromRack.com a few weeks ago and have worn it several times a week since. It’s lighter weight than a typical down vest, but the Omni-Heat insulation makes it super warm. It’s the perfect vest to wear in between fall and winter and I think it will be great for wintertime running, too!
- The Cutest Thing You’ll See All Day
I owe Ryan a big thank you for bringing this ridiculously adorable video into my life. If you’re looking for a little something to make your heart melt this morning, check out this video of a rescued otter pup. I just want to snuggle with her! So stinkin’ cute!
- Starbucks Bringing Back Eggnog
Did you guys hear Starbucks was going to do away with eggnog on the east coast this year? I actually tried to order a chai eggnog latte when we were in Savannah last weekend and was super bummed when the barista told me eggnog on the east coast was no more. Well, apparently Starbucks got some intense feedback when they removed it from the menu and ended up reversing their decision. Eggnog remains! WOO! And if you haven’t ordered a chai eggnog latte before, please do so before the holiday season is over. You won’t be disappointed!
- Giveaway Winners
Congratulations to Kalynn C., the winner of the Montiel Activewear Giveaway! And congratulations to Laura C. and Sally, the two winners of the Nordstrom Clearance Sale Giveaway! All giveaway winners were emailed first thing this morning. Thanks to all who entered!
Question of Day
- What is one thing you’re absolutely loving this week?
Linz says

Julie says
Yay William!
Caitlin F. says
I am loving getting into the holiday spirit by signing up for turkey trots and jingle bell runs! Have a great weekend Julie 🙂
Julie says
I love holiday races! I’m pretty sure we are going to be doing the turkey trot again this year as well!
Christina M says
I’m loving the feeling of Holidays coming into full swing! I’m already busy planning what Christmas presents to get everyone and already bought my sister hers (and I’m super excited about it!) and getting my boyfriend his once it comes back in stock! I always say I dread this time of year, but then when it comes, I can’t get enough of holiday shopping for friends/family!
Julie says
On, your comment just made me feel even more excited about the holidays! My sister is my favorite person to shop for and I can’t wait!
UnlockingKiki says
A chai eggnog (or chainogg) is on my list of must have when I am home for the holidays, can’t get enough of them!
Julie says
A barista recommended it to Ryan when he was ordering a chai latte a couple of years ago and it has since become a favorite among my whole family during the holidays! So delicious!
OrganicallyMo says
I need to check out that Peppermint Water….sounds amazing! This week I am loving that tomorrow we meet up with friends for wine tasting. Knowing we have that to look forward to has kept me sane! 😉
Julie says
That sounds fabulous! Hope you have the best time!
Sam says
I have been obsessed with the Chobani pumpkin spice greek yogurt this week. They are so good 🙂 Unfortunately, they are hard to find around here and I have eaten through my entire stock of them.
Julie says
I still need to try it!
Kristine says
I love that vest!! Would you say it runs true to size? Thanks!!
Julie says
I would say it runs a little bit big. If you feel like you’re between sizes, I would size down!
Beks says
PB2. I discovered it on a blog, but I was always wary of it before, because I was worried it was fake peanut butter with all kinds of chemicals, but after looking at the ingredient list, I discovered not a funky ingredient to be found. 45 calories for 2 tablespoons (mix with one tablespoon of water for peanut butter). I’ve been adding it to my morning green smoothie for a peanut butter green monster without all the calories. Delicious! My grocery store brand also carries a chocolate version, and hazelnut. I see Ferrero Rocher inspire smoothies in my future! 😀
dillowa1 says
Chumpkin lattes are my current obsession! Chai and pumpkin make it the perfect fall drink!
Mary Beth Richardson says
I officially want my very own baby sea otter! 🙂
I’m loving an older item you talked about in your hair product post. I’ve been trying the “hair won’t grow past a certain length” mask you mentioned, and I’m loving it. I have layers that will NOT grow out. I’ve been using this mask every other day, and my hair is getting longer and stronger after a month! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂
Julie says
I am so, so glad to hear it! It was such a random discovery but I am so glad I bought it on impulse! I love that stuff!!
Mary Beth Richardson says
I never would have found it on my own. A year ago my hair was very dry and brittle, and now it actually feels healthy again. It’s really good stuff, and I recommend it to everyone 🙂
Julie says
Me too!! 🙂
Amanda says
I’m secretly loving that Christmas decorations are starting to pop up everywhere :).
Natalie @ Never Serious Blog says
Love all of these! And my Starbucks intake has tripled just because of these happy red cups! I’m actually sipping on a latte right now! 🙂
Anele @ Success Along the Weigh says
Isn’t that otter the cutest!?!
I’m now loving this link a reader shared with me: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/06/shake-it-off-1989-aerobic-video_n_6116400.html I could not stop laughing and now of course I can’t stop singing it.
skigirl0891 says
Intrigued by the Hint water, can’t wait to try it! Reminds me of my favorite water that has since been replaced, Smart water used to make plain old water with flavor (grape, lime and berry), no sugar or fake anything, bummer!
PaolaA says
“Please choose the blue paint, it will look great when I step in it and walk all over the house!” Totally my dog! Also, how are those puppies in the carts? Boone would absolutely hate the feeling on his paws…
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment says
Peppermint water sounds lovely. I am looking forward to enjoying the fall weather outside in Austin.
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, & Beers says
I haven’t tried the eggnog, but I’m soooo ready for my first peppermint mocha of the season!
pieceofcaitlin says
love chai tea! never had the eggnog though.. its now on the list! 🙂
Lauren says
I just discovered chocolate coconut almonds from Trader Joe’s. So good!
Emma @ Life's A Runner says
It is feeling like a chai eggnog latte kind of day! TGIF though, no doubt about it!
I absolutely love that vest – I wish I could justify buying it, but the rain here would make it absolutely pointless unless I wore it under my raincoat – and I’m sure THAT would be super attractive. 😉
Jen Rawson, RD (@PrettyLilGrub) says
I’ve never tried any of the Starbucks eggnog lattes but I heard about the harsh criticism they received when they took it off the menu. Seems it might be worth a try.
Tessa says
OMG dying over that sea otter video! Adorable!
Julie says
So cute, right!? I fell in love immediately. 🙂
Skinny Fitalicious says
Angie’s popcorn is amazing! They usually have one at Costco that’s white chocolate and dark chocolate drizzled. Love it! But oh so dangerous!
Jenny Bender says
I’m not a fan of regular eggnog because of they heavy texture, but I love making lattes at home with the soy “nog.” I agree with Natalie, though, I’ve been stopping for coffee more often because I love the red cups!
Angela @ HonestlyAngela says
I am loving the beautiful fall weather we have been having. It has been so sunny and warm here. A lot of the time we have snow by Halloween!
Stacie@SimplySouthernStacie says
I’m not a crazy eggnog fan (unless I can mix some Kahlua in with it haha), but the chai eggnog sounds pretty good! Thanks for the tip!
Carrie says
What!! gingerbread popcorn! That sounds delicious! I’m not a huge fan of eggnog, but I love me some chai!
Casie says
Hi Julie. Have you ever heard of doterra? It’s a line of essential oils that can be used for many different purposes. Main point is you can add a drop or two of peppermint essential oil into your water. You can do this with any essential oil that is all natural. My friends and I love doing it. Peppermint water year round!
Julie says
No, but I clearly need this in my life! Thank you for sharing!
Bethany @ Accidental Intentions says
There’s this free paper in Chicago called the RedEye (produced by the Chicago Tribune) that I pick up every morning on the way to work, and yesterday–even though it was the day after our current governor conceded the election to his opponent–they put the baby otter on the cover. Pretty much the best newspaper cover ever: https://twitter.com/redeyechicago/status/530366813302177793
Chelsea @ Raw N' Toned says
Definitely going to be checking out that dog friendly link!! Love that vest on you, looks super cute!! And omg, gingerbread kettle corn????? I should not find that haha I will end up buying too much!! My favorite was the boyfriend coming home last night 🙂
Hillary | Nutrition Nut on the Run says

Emily W. says
Oh yum! will have to try the chai eggnog, hopefully our starbucks will bring the flavor back too! no red cups yet here in the Bahamas yet, we’re still on pumpkin spice…and it’s unfortunately still not ‘fall’ cool weather 🙂
aladygoeswest says
Hi Julie! Happy Friday! I’m loving the fall weather, but I’m also loving the new blogging ladies I met at a BlogHer event in San Francisco last night. What a wonderful thing this blogging world is:)
Julie says
How fun!!
Kristin says

Leslie @ Life Begins at 30? says
I love that vest! It is so cute! I have never tried an chai eggnog latte, but I have read about it on a few blogs. It will definitely be on my list for the holiday season! I have been loving the leftover Halloween candy this week. I need an intervention!!
Courtney! says
Ugh… that candy corn popcorn. SO good. Here’s to hoping I don’t see the gingerbread in any stores 🙂
livitant says
I love love love popcorn– and gingerbread popcorn sounds AMAZING!!
cleaneatingveggiegirl says
Ice gingerbread popcorn?? You KNOW I want some of that!!
Kalynn C. says
I’m loving that I won the giveaway!!! Still can’t believe it!
Also, I’m loving hearing success stories from my regular BodyPump attendees (I’m an instructor). Hearing how much stronger they feel, how much weight they are losing, clothes that are fitting better…it gives me such joy for them! To know that I’m a small part of that for them is very exciting!
Julie says
Yayyyyy!!!!!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
I’m loving Thomas’s Pumpkin Spice English muffins! They’re sweet and doughy and basically carb/pumpkin perfection. (Also, I saw the above comment and thought I’d throw my two cents in – Chobani Pumpkin Spice yogurt is amazing.)
Heather @ Housewife Glamour says
Phew!! Good thing to hear about that eggnog nonsense didn’t stick. Woo hoo! I’m also really loving puffer vests lately. Too cute!
Sally says
That peppermint water looks tasty!
Also, I got unreasonably excited when I saw that “Sally” won the Nordstrom giveaway, because I don’t run into pealthople with the same name very often, but sadly there was no email in my inbox. Congrats to my fellow “Sally” who won! Represent 😉
Sally says
Wow. “People” with the same name. I apparently can’t type today!
Julie says
Awww! So sorry! She didn’t leave a last initial with her comment, so I couldn’t share it to help alleviate some of the confusion. Maybe next time! And thanks so much for entering!
sprinklesofnutrition says
Love the vest too! (I feel like a lot of my comments start with “Love….”, I should probably work on changing up my vocab a little..ha! Anyway, for this week I’m loving this SNL skit one of my friends sent me this morning about Taylor Swift and I thought it was hilarious… http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/02/snl-swiftamine_n_6089948.html
Rachel @ Blonde with a Chanse says
I love your Columbia vest! Perfect for working out 🙂 I get super hot if I have something too heavy on, so this is great for keeping me warm, but not overheating me.
joelle (on a pink typewriter) says
OMG I have a vest I bought a few years ago from Gap, and I’m obsessed with it… I live in San Diego now so I rarely REALLY need to use it,but I bust it out anyways when there’s a hint of chill in the air. 😉
Ps. very cool about Starbucks – I love when brands listen to their fans.
Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine says
Gingerbread popcorn, YUM!
I love that vest!
Ashley says
I am loving the starbucks red cups! I haven’t gotten one yet but I can’t waiiiiit!!!
Lauren says
While reading this post I was munching on some Angie’s Holidrizzle Dark Chocolate Sea Salt popcorn. Totally delish. Only problem is I can’t get my hand to stop reaching for more 🙂 I’ll have to be on the look out for the gingerbread kind! My favorite thing this week is my precious niece that was born this morning!
Julie says
Ha ha! I am the exact same way with that popcorn! So darn delicious. And what exciting news about your niece!! Yay!
Nicole says
I’m loving being a new Sweat Pink Ambassador for the Fit Approach!!
Laura says
I love dogs (and cats, and all animals, really), but I don’t think they belong in any store. My boyfriend is highly allergic to dogs and we’ve had to leave stores because someone had a dog there.
I can understand people don’t want to leave their pet at home and think it would be fun for their dog to accompanying them to the store, but the vast majority of dogs I’ve seen in stores look stressed out. Not to mention all the inattentive pet owners who let their dogs pee in the aisle and then walk away. I think people should leave their pets at home for the sake of the animal and the allergic people.
