Hello and happy Friday! I am currently soaking up as much time with my grandmothers as possible, but I typed up another “Things I’m Loving Friday” post to share while I’m spending time with my family.
Please feel free to play along in the comments section!
Things I’m Loving Friday
- The adorable way my sister asked her bridesmaids to be in her wedding
How cute is my sister’s adorable craft project? Leslie sent these fun boxes to all of her bridesmaids to ask them to be in her wedding. I was so excited when I opened up my box and found a fun candy ring pop inside! I cannot wait to be Leslie’s maid of honor and stand by her side on her wedding day. We’ve already started bachelorette party preparations and we’ll be heading to Savannah in January to celebrate. Lots of fun to come!
- Saigon Cinnamon
This cinnamon is stronger and a little spicier than usual cinnamon and I can’t get enough of it! The flavor holds up really well in my morning cup of coffee and in the batches of protein pancakes that I’ve made with the spice. I cannot wait to make oatmeal cookies and throw a dash of the cinnamon into the dough. I think it would really kick the flavor up a notch and make them taste incredible!
I am ready for the Florida weather to get nice and chilly so I can wear this jacket non-stop. Athleta contacted me to review one of their apparel items and after browsing their website, I found this gorgeous pink jacket (on sale!) and was instantly smitten. It’s extra long which is great for someone with a long torso like me. I wore it all over Canada and appreciated its warmth and the high neck and hood on cold mornings.
- The 5 Year Anniversary of My Mom’s Breast Cancer Surgery
This months marks five years since my mom’s double mastectomy and our entire family is overcome with gratitude and happiness. Hitting the five-year mark is a huge milestone and I could not be more proud of the strength, optimism and resilience my mom has demonstrated every single day since her diagnosis. She is incredible.
My friend and fellow fitness instructor, Gina, and her friend Sasha released their first dance fitness DVD a couple of weeks ago and it is so much fun! I had a chance to try it out last Sunday and, as someone who cannot do choreographed dance to save her life, I was excited to see that there was a section of the DVD dedicated to breaking down the moves that later popped up in the routines. The workout was fast-paced but I never felt lost and loved the great beats and energetic music. I’m so, so proud of my friend. Congrats on such a great DVD, Gina!!!
