Things I’m Loving Friday
- Old CDs
A week or so ago, I started digging through my old CDs looking for music to upload to my iPod to use in my group exercise classes. I unleashed a monster because now I cannot stop listening to throwback CDs I loved in high school. I used to listen to the Sister Act II soundtrack almost every morning while I got ready (“Oh Happy Day” is one of my all-time favorite songs) and I’ve been loving some of the mixed CDs my friends burned for me years ago. So many memories!!!
This winner came to me in my first Birchbox! I figured it would be just like any other Chap Stick, but it really does keep my lips feeling smooth and hydrated for so much longer than typical lip balm. I wish I had this baby with me when I was in NYC a few weeks ago!
- Scandal
My mom and I are 100 percent obsessed with this show. Thanks to Netflix we were able to marathon watch past seasons over the holidays. Each episode seems to have its own mini mystery and I’m such a fan!
- Family Recipes
I’ve fallen into the habit of making the same dishes for dinner over and over again and in an effort to bust out of my rut, I have a goal of attempting a new recipe twice a week. I’ve started going through our recipe box to test out family favorites and I’ve had a lot of fun trying recipes our family and friends sent to me over the years. Lots of delicious winners!

I cannot get enough of them! Infinity scarves are my go-to accessory during the winter months. So cozy! - UCF
I am so, so happy for my alma mater. The Knights took home a big victory on New Year’s Day at the Fiesta Bowl and since it sometimes feels like people only care about two colleges in Florida, I couldn’t help but feel extremely happy for this milestone for UCF. I remember attending football games when I was in college during the season when we went 0-11. We’ve come a long way and I am so proud!

I’m also a huge fan of Hydration Lock Chap Stick!! And I also received it in my Birchbox…the best $10 a month EVER!!!
We’ve gotten into watching Breaking Bad on netflix; it’s kind of hard core but it is entertaining. I am a huge baby and hate to be even slightly scared so sometimes I close my eyes but I think most people can watch without too much trouble. Did you know the new season of the Bachelor starts this Sunday?!
I have so many friends that are obsessed with Scandal! I think I need to cave and devote my weekend to watching it 🙂 I’m currently loving the San Francisco running weather – it’s a little chilly and blue skies, just the way I like it!
Big Bang Theory and Criminal Minds are my current favorite shows. And I am loving the new year, and the chilly weather that made it’s way to central Florida.

& I am ADDICTED to Scandal as well- started watching it (again- had started before having Gabriella, but it quickly fell by the way side) and it’s too good. I watch it while & run on the treadmill & that could be a good or bad thing. Good that it keeps me completely distracted & good/ bad that I will EASILY run for two hours just to watch more & more. I need to slow down so I don’t run out of shows to watch too fast. Kerry Washington is an amazing actress!
Things I’m loving? Your protein egg white and oatmeal pancakes!! SO GOOD! Tried them for the first time today with peanut butter and banana and they were unreal! Awesome recipe – I even blogged about them today, don’t worry, I gave you credit 😉

I love scandal! I watched all of the first two seasons on Netflix and now I need to catch up on season 3 so I can watch it online!

I’m loving EGGS! After 2 years without them they’re back with a bang! Fried eggs to be specific…amazing! I’m loving 2 broke girls! Love the dry wit!
I just finished the first season of Orange is the New Black on Netflix – it’s a little out there but the characters are SO GOOD.
I’ll have to try that chapstick…the only type I’ve ever found that I love is the Fresh Lip Balm – but that’s SO expensive for a tiny tube
I bought that infinity scarf from Aldo for my sisters last year for xmas, should have gotten myself one! Love!

Just started Scandal last week – and I’m in love AND obsessed. Such an amazing show…hands down, one of my favorite shows/anything that I have watched on Netflix in a long, long time. This week, I’m loving my fellow CrossFit friends for giving me rides to the box since my car is a tad broken. I’m also loving that I get to come to Florida in 10 days to see my mama! I need to start my packing list!
Infinity scarves were my go-to holiday gift this year. Just got into scandal as well, and I’m obsessed. I’m embarrassed to say how many episodes I watched over the holiday break!

Julie – I’m so so happy I found your blog! I’ve been using your circuits and treadmill workouts exclusively for like, the past 2 weeks. The 30 min. interval I did today was my FAVORITE. Absolutely loved. It was the perfect combo of intensity w/o the feelings of “this is great but I’m dreading having to do it again and start from the beginning.” Really excited to try the “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” Circuit tomorrow 🙂 Ah – sorry my comment’s a little off topic, I just had to rave 🙂

I am a huge scandal fan!! I also had to marathon watch to catch up to the current episodes. I hardly left my couch for days on end because I was so hooked. But now that I’m caught up, the week between shows feels like a lifetime!
I’m also excited to try out that new chapstick! Would definitely come in handy during the dry winter.
My niece has become an expert at hand-knitting infinity scarves so everyone got one for Christmas!
Chicago Fire is a real favorite show right now. Love it!
We are getting ready to move and I have really enjoyed going through my old CDs during the packing and moving process. Forgot how great some of my long-forgotten music is!
I am loving New Girl, as always…can’t wait for the new season to start up again!!
My mom is also obsessed with Scandal, and since she had the flu over the holidays and couldn’t do much, she FINISHED the two entire seasons on Netflix in 3 days!!!
One thing I’m loving lately is the Tazo Vanilla Rooibos Parfait tea at Starbucks. It’s just a a tea bag, but it tastes like a decadent latte and smells SOOOOO good! And it’s caffeine free so I can have it any time of day!
One more thing- I’m gonna have to disagree with your excitement over the outcome of the Fiesta Bowl…BAYLOR ALL THE WAY!!!!!! 🙂

Yay…I went to UCF too!!! So proud of our school!! I agree, most people just care about UF and FSU here. Glad to see that you gave them a little shout out 🙂 I am also loving infinity scarves. Believe it or not, Walmart has some really cute ones that i just recently purchased. Favorite Netflix show has to be breaking bad, I definitely will have to check out Scandal once I am done with that one.

Currently I am LOVING Big Bang Theory. I got all of the seasons on black friday super cheap and I have been watching them non stop. I’m so obsessed.
I am currently loving that I just graduated nursing school…. It feels so great not to have clinicals, papers and all things that involve school! I am currently studying for my boards test but it feels great to be done with school.
