Today is a very special Friday because it’s the day before my sister and Ross’ wedding! Their rehearsal kicks off at 2 p.m. but we have a lot of little odds and ends to tie up this morning. It’s excited chaos around here!
After this post goes up, I’m planning to unplug and fully immerse myself in the wedding weekend. Relatives began arriving two days ago and I’m really looking forward to lots of quality time with family and friends.
And congratulations again to Leslie and Ross!!!
Now here is your usual Things I’m Loving Friday feature…
Things I’m Loving Friday
- Leslie and Ross
I’m pretty sure 99 percent of you predicted this would make my list this morning, huh? Well, it’s true! The thing I’m loving most this week is everything surrounding my sister and Ross and their special day. They are one heck of a fabulous couple and I hope this weekend is absolutely perfect for them.
- Card Case
Whenever I travel, I never bring my wallet with me. I always use a card case! I bought my card case back in college (it’s very similar to this one) and have loved its small size and wonderful portability ever since. It fits in any purse (even the tiniest clutches) and holds several credit cards and my ID without a problem. Since I know I’ll be using a variety of purses this weekend, I packed my card case in place of my wallet so I don’t have to worry about emptying my wallet into a smaller purse when I need to at some point. It’s a small thing that helps me streamline travel a bit! (I prefer metal card holders that make it easy to quickly pop open the case to grab a credit card. I think this $10 case is super cute and classy!)
Thank you so much to so many of you for tagging me on Instagram and Twitter! I love seeing your workout and yummy food pics whenever you try something you’ve seen on this blog. It makes me smile and I truly appreciate it!
I think dogs are the best animals on the planet and found this article quite interesting, especially the fact about their “vocabulary.”
My parents’ place is overflowing with this granola right now since it is going to be used as part of Leslie and Ross’ wedding favors. I haven’t been able to stop snacking on the leftover granola. It’s so darn good!

Weddings are the best! Especially when they include people you love.
I still don’t see how some people don’t LOVE wedding (read: the husband). Free CAKE.
Need I say more?

I use my card case for the same purpose as you do – to replace my wallet while traveling and going out. I love it. It’s a beautiful silver piece that I got at White House Black Market.

Congratulations to Leslie and Ross!
One thing I’m loving this week (and every other) is Carol’s Daughter brand Monoi Repairing Hair Mask. I just had to go buy a refill, which reminded me of how much I love this stuff. After a surgery I had to have, my hair turned to straw (and I mean that as nearly literally as possible, it was incredible) and nothing I tried could get it to detangle, soften and-worst of all- stop breaking! My hairstylist sister said that some medications can change the chemistry of your hair and the only solution at the time was to chop my locks as much as I could handle and wait for the new healthy hair to grow back. But I tried and tried to find some conditioner or shampoo that would at least HELP it not be so brittle. I splurged at Ulta and bought the hair mask thanks to its promises of 96% less breakage after one use. I was skeptical, but it was so true. After the first shower with that stuff, my bathroom counter was no longer covered in my broken ends. It was the only product I tried that helped my hair get back to healthy.

I love Leslie’s yellow dress. Once she’s done honeymooning, will you ask her where she got it from?
